I found this hotel two years ago when I was looking for a hotel while attending PTP. It is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. I will be staying here as long as I am attending PTP. It is convenient to the Convention Center and have all the ilmenites I need. The only downsize I have is that the breakfast could be changed a little. It would be nice if they could have bacon at least once during the week, and grits. I do love the apple cider that is available 24/7 and the workers and front office staff are super. While staff were friendly and the price was right, this hotel was just average. First note, it is NOISY. Walls are thin on top of being very close to a helicopter launch, which seemingly went by at all hours of the day. Road noise is also pretty high here. Pillows could use a replacement and if you're over 6 feet tall, you will struggle in the shower. It is close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains north entrance, so definitely convenient for that. read more

Do not book here if you need WiFi to connect. Front desk acknowledged some rooms don't have WiFi (even though they give you a WiFi password upon check in.) You don't know if your room will have working WiFi. Our didn't. Front desk said, "ever since the hurricane, it's been spotty...," as to why their WiFi didn't work in my room. Every time I visit Dollywood I stay at this hotel. They have the best breakfast. The waffles are immaculate. And I couldn't recommend enough. It's low price. A lot of the reviews on here are quite literally Karens. There isn't a whole lot of great hotels out there. And this by no means is a perfect one. Probably one of the grossest hotels I've stayed at in a LOOONG TIME. So for starters the pictures do not begin to describe the disgust I found. While the outside and the common areas looks immaculate, the room was less than desirable. There was mold in the bathroom, water rot on the door and a hole in the wall. The bedroom had pills under the bed, stains on the sheets and mattress and the WORST. The head board had some kind of runny poop or blood stain in the headboard but who knows. Lastly the bed is ROCK hard. I woke up with the worst back pain of my life. Why did I stay? Well there was "nothing" they could do. It was late and we were tired. But best believe the next day I found a new place to stay which was FAR better and the same price. I did tell the front desk why I was checking out early and they didn't seem to care. The front desk staff also didn't wear mask and the "grab and go" breakfast was JUNK. No healthy options and no protein either. For some that's VERY important. Talk about major ick!! If you are used to clean, updated, well-kept hotels, this is not the place for you. We were greeted by a bush filled with spider webs outside the hotel entrance, as well as a spider filled trash can to throw away our food from a long road trip. The pull out couch (the only reason we even stayed in this place) was filthy like it had never been cleaned --ever! I wouldn't let my daughter sit on it until I sprayed it with Lysol. For some reason the pillows on our beds were 1/2 the size of normal pillows. Just weird. Everything looked dingy and old, with a ring of dirt and grime around it. To top it off, the toilet overflowed after first normal use and the front desk person said we could either come get a plunger or she would be down after she checked in a guest. I assume there's no maintenance crew on staff. Not sure. We complained enough that they agreed to refund our 2nd and 3rd night's stay so we could find someplace else. read more

I have no idea how anyone has rated this hotel positively! It's so gross!!! We woke up after sleeping there only one night to have been invaded by ants. Not only were they ALL over our bathroom floor but they were on our night stand and most importantly and most disgustingly, on our babies bottle. Definitely a great place to stay! Quiet rooms and good light blocking drapes make sleeping easy. Only complaint would be the tvs...not great quality pictures and the connection went out every five minutes or so (clear skies), came back quickly but hard to watch your favorite team big game! read more

Stayed here a few years ago and had a decent experience - was visiting the area so decided on this hotel again. Chose the river view .... it did have a river view .... but across the river is ALOT of construction. Not the hotels fault, but just know this when booking. Room was decent. Maid service wasn't the best. Front desk staff was not very friendly. When I checked out, I was just handed my bill without a "How was your Stay? Thank you for staying here" NOTHING. Stay here because Bluegreen vacations couldn't put us up in a cabin like they originally were going to do we had to cancel because I was hospitalized an unable to attend the first date we picked and we were supposed to be staying in Gatlinburg not 20 minuets away. The room was a little smelly but we had no choice but to stay there were no other rooms around for the weekend. Hopefully after they do there upgrades the place will be nicer and cleaner they need some new bed. read more

We had a beautiful visit there. The property was well-maintained and updated. Check in was easy. Breakfast was delicious and we were able to sit outside on a patio and feel safe. The breakfast was better than most other hotels of the same caliber. We had a corner room and a balcony overlooking a river with a natural area. The pools or melt well-maintained and comfortable temperatures. We love the lazy river and were delighted that a Monday evening was quiet and we were the only ones in the lazy river. It is a small lazy river but it is nice, calm, warm and peaceful riding an inner tube around in circles. We only paid a little over $100 for our room and were glad to be off the busy Pigeon Forge strip. A very relaxing couple getaway. read more

SEMEN STAIN ON BEDSPREAD!!!! This hotel is disgusting!!!! I found a semen stain on my bedspread, I called down to complain, I was then advised that the bedspreads are only changed to clean 3 times per week. She tried to tell me that it was industry standard! I normally stay in Hiltons or Mariott's, and they change all of the bedding after every guest!!!! She offered to send a maid up, and I told her there was no way I would stay at this hotel tonight or any night! Be very thorough and inspect your room if you insist on staying here, be careful! While it wasn't a terrible experience, it was definitely not worth the money. The room smelled absolutely awful when we first entered. The "clean" towels had long brown hairs in my towel. There was something dark and crusted on the bath tub in several spots, which we discovered before (thankfully!) bathing my toddler. So off to take a sink bath instead. The exterior of the hotel is really pretty, but the inside was out of date and musky smelling. I understand that there was a lot of people staying there and eating breakfast, but it could have been organized in a better way. Either more breakfast appliances , especially more than two waffle makers, or put it in a place that is blocking the door to outside. A line piled up for the waffle makers, blocking the door and it was so awkward. I suggest spending your money elsewhere; you'll be happier and probably closer to your destination! read more

I am furious at the last two reviews. This place is extremely clean beautifully decorated and is at the same price as Microtel. It has hot coffee and hot apple cider 24 hours a day. It has a balcony room where breakfast is served. Unless they totally renovated in the last month I don't understand how anybody would say this place is dated. Well it does have three floors of antebellum columns and looks like a mansion. Give me a break. read more

Most annoying thing about it is that their wifi is LOUSY so if you have plans of getting online while here, think again. Love the lazy river! The old southern mansion feel was great. My husband and I are big Gone With The Wind fans and we really enjoyed all the memorabilia. There were pictures and cases full of the figures etc from the movie. We had a great room. Our room was on the backside of the hotel with a balcony that overlooked the creek. It was a beautiful view that was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, my two favorite things in a hotel room. It also had a refrigerator and a microwave. They offered free breakfast with a large variety of food including waffles. I love waffles. The breakfast area was on the second floor. You could eat inside and listen to the news or you could eat outside on the balcony overlooking the pool area. There is an indoor and outdoor pool area. It was hot during the day so we swam in the outdoor pool. The indoor area had a pool and a hot tub and was available 24 hours a day. We soaked in the hot tub one night. It was very relaxing. My favorite was the lazy river. I could float in that all day. The lady at the front desk when we checked in wasn't very nice or helpful. Everyone else we dealt with that week from the cleaning staff to the desk attendants were very nice and friendly. Maybe the first lady was just having a bad day. read more

We found our home away from home on our annual trip to Pigeon Forge. This hidden treasure is about 10-15 minutes from the Strip ... just the right distance to get away from the madness. The hotel itself is amazing ... just as you see in the photos. Wait until you see the lobby! Our room was huge and everything was up to date. Clean, quiet and affordable. We'll be back next year! My daughter and I stayed here during her spring break, and we absolutely LOVED it. We stayed in one of their king suites with jacuzzi tub... it exceeded my expectations!!! The staff was always super friendly, housekeeping did an outstanding job keeping our room clean and the wifi was fast and always worked. Very nice hotel with a great staff. They were able to get us in on short notice for 3 nights. Lobby of hotel is very inviting with a (what I consider) Grand staircase situated in the middle. Rooms are very nice and well kept, the room we stayed in had two queen beds and a separate sitting area with a balcony and river view. Two pools (one in & one out). Breakfast area is very nice on second floor with a balcony. I did see a flyer that they are under new management and will be renovating the hotel soon. Can't say enough good things. We will be back. It is actually a pretty beautiful hotel. Not the nicest but beautiful. Indoor and outdoor pool with a lazy river. Also includes free breakfast but didn't attend so can't tell you what it was like. The room was spacious with 2 double beds and a couch. Has 2 sinks and mirrors(one in bathroom and one outside the bathroom). We had a room on the first floor with our own patio that was right next to the pool. The beds and pillows were comfy. The room stayed pretty musty the whole time and the furniture and decor is pretty old. We also kept running out of toilet paper and had to keep going and asking for more cause they only give you one roll at a time. The maid was very nice and the rooms were pretty clean. We did however find some mold in our shower which made some of our sinuses go ablaze. They might want to think about doing some repairs/remodeling to the rooms and not just the lobby and breakfast area. The location isn't the greatest since it's right across the street from a helicopter tour place and there aren't many restaurants or things to do in close proximity. Pigeon Forge is about 30 minutes away without traffic. Parking lot also gets really full at night and it's hard finding parking. I'd for sure stay here again for a night or two though if the rooms got updated and the mold was gone. read more

We have stayed here year after year just before Christmas -13 years! It's time to upgrade ALL room!!!! Bathrooms, carpet, technology!! And the pool really needs to be warm- it's inside but freezing!! Wifi does not work at all. They will give you a password and act like it's working, however, it doesn't at all. Nice enough hotel but needs some serious updating. Booked the meeting room for a vendor event I was hosting. Was told they had tables to accommodate 20 vendors when I booked it, but when I called back later to confirm, they said they only had 10 tables. We brought a few of our own, but unfortunately for us some had backed out at the last min so we ended up not needing ours. When I arrived the morning of the event, I found there was no communication to housekeeping or maintenance about the room being booked, so they had all the chairs stacked up against the walls, a tv in one corner, and blowers sitting on a rug that was apparently drying. So they had to scramble to clear the room for us. The maintenance guy was nice enough to hang our banner below the marquee sign out front with the twine I brought. The ladies in housekeeping brought us in hot cider and coffee, which was very nice of them. Didn't stay the night here, but the look of the place is very nice and despite the room being small, it would make a great place to have a business meeting. Won't be back to do another vendor event, though. read more

We stayed here as a Christmas gift from a family member in Kodak. Not knowing what to expect, we were overwhelmed by the cleanliness and attention to every detail. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast offered hot bacon, eggs, biscuits, and gravy. There was also a selection of breads, fruits, cereal, and drinks. There were even two easy to use waffle makers. The Christmas decorations were professionally made. The pool and hot tub area was very relaxing. We will be back. read more

this place is a trian wreck/ the outside looks great but once you go past the front desk you begin to realize its run down and dirty. our room carpet was so bad i would not take my socks off . furnature looked like something from the resuce misson ,lamp was broken and leanning over . to top it off i took the dust cover off coffee cup and it had a half inch chip on the rim that would off cut my lip. we checked out as soon as we could and moved to the best western up the road which was night and day . never stay a this location so bad and the choice coporate office call was an hour and a half with results that were not to my satifaction . read more
