This is one of those times I should have walked out when I walked in. I want to start off by saying the only reason I gave this stay a 2 stars rating is because the front desk folks were nice and I feel they had their hands tied. However I am surprised they never offered a discount or any kind of "for your troubles" thing. 1st- the lobby was okay and the staff was nice but the carpet in the hallways and the elevator were dirty. 2nd - When I got to my room there was no remote so as I look for it and instead found garbage and a lot of dust behind the dresser and under the bed, against the walls. 3rd- There was some kind of something in the air that burned my eyes, but only while I was in the room, not outside or in the main lobby or other parts of facility. When I requested a new room they didn't have any. 4th- I decided I can make it work since it was only one night but then I pulled back my sheets and found dried food and sauce between the sheets and the bedspread. Of course housekeeping was gone so they just gave me an extra set of sheets. It was an uncomfortable night. This location should be reviewed by the Hilton folks. NOTE - My co-worker had no issues with his room. It looks like I just drew the short straw this time around. read more

I would actually give the hotel a 3.5. Staff was friendly from check in and all throughout stay. Lobby decorated nicely for Halloween and appeared clean. Breakfast was hot and frequently being checked to see if refills of items were needed. The room was comfortable, as we were passing thru and only needed to stay for the night. Unfortunately, it appeared that our bathroom had not been cleaned. Previous persons soap still in shower and lots of hair remained in floor. So much that you could tell floor had not been cleaned and it was sticky from previous cleaning. Multiple old stains on couch that could use cleaned. No bedding such as sheets, blanket or pillows available for pull out couch for our kids. Overall, it was a good hotel, just could use better cleaning after each guest. read more

Front desk staff are GREAT!! Hotel looks updated but dirty. Carpet throughout hotel is FILTHY. 1st room smelled like a wet dog and the aircondtioning was not working, 2nd room had another guest already in it. 3rd room TV did not work. 4th room Success!! The Breakfast was just awful. Chichen sausage and watery eggs. No one wants chicken sausage... keep your dietary and/or religious preference at your home. Be aware that this is a PET friendly hotel pets are allowed in all rooms! Will not be staying here again. read more

This hotel it self wasn't anything amazing. But good for the price point. Breakfast was better than a lot of others at that price but what was amazing was the staff. They were all fantastic. We ran into a lot of staff in the halls at breakfast and cleaning rooms as we left. They were all great upbeat, positive, polite and engaging. Really made the stay! read more

PRO'S: the bed was comfortable and the A/C worked well (quiet with just the right amount of white noise). The staff was also friendly during the check in process. CON'S: the maintenance at this property is lacking. The door to the closet would not stay closed so I had to place the trash can against the door to keep it closed. The tub would not drain properly so unless you like standing in inches of water while showering... See picture of flexsteel chair in room...it looked so dirty/stained I thought they pulled it from a frat house to furnish the room. The desk in the room did not have a lamp so good luck if you are wanting to get any work done if you are on business...and there were zero electrical outlets at or near the desk. Was not impressed. Beds at HI are usually soft but this one definitely was not. Black mold along ceiling in shower. Worse was animal or possibly human hair all over couch. I mean, "wipe your hand on couch and get a fistful of hair" covered. I found out after I'd eaten and showered, and sat on couch to work on laptop. So I had to put blanket on couch to sit on it. No idea how the maid didn't see this mess. I noticed it earlier but I assumed it was stains. Sundries terrible. Big drawers contained one box Pepto Bismol and some floss. Nothing microwavable. Breakfast was microwaved cheese omelet. Great for us lactose intolerant folks. Tried to call once I left as I was worried they'd think I left that hair all over couch and try to charge me for a dog, but no answer and kept saying "mailbox full." Restaurants near have terrible ratings. If traveling east, keep going as the area gets much better towards Tupelo. read more

Very average hotel; okay for a business trip, bed and pillows were the highlight as they were very comfortable. Nice size televisions in the room as well. The person at the front desk was on a personal call when I arrived to check in and texting when I checked out. Would have been okay had he not made me feel as if I was interrupting his personal life each time. A friendly demeanor would have been nice. The breakfast that other reviews raved about was two steps down from the Waffle House quality. Their idea of sausage was actually kielbasa sliced and fried. They did have coffee available all day so that was a plus. The hotel is located behind a shopping plaza near the highway. Im afraid what the other hotels are like in the area as this was rated the best; best of the worst possibly. read more

I have stayed at this hotel many times over a span of probably 10 years. Here's my take: GOOD: - They have remodeled several times. So while it's an older-style unit, it is fresh inside. - My room is usually very clean. NOT REALLY GOOD: - My shower head had all sorts of black or pink goo growing in it. No thanks. - The new breakfast layout is right by the main, auto-opening front door. Patrons CANNOT walk from any seat to any food without triggering the door to open. A mom was sitting there with a baby, who was getting cold from all the outside air. This is pretty broken. But overall, it's decent, and if you know Hampton well, you know what to expect. read more

Most of staff was friendly. hotel looks like it's being remodeled like some of the rooms are being remodeled our Room was clean and ok, breakfast was fine. we went to pool, for about 10 min. But we're ran out by a party so we were unable to use pool because there were so many little girls in there, we were disappointed in that. Store area had hardly no snacks are things for purchase. One of workers i believe thinks that the front covered area is his personal parking spot its a late 1990's early 2000's, 4 door white honda accord and it stayed parked there &blocking the way though, this parking lot is tight so he should not be blocking this area. read more

Not up to Hampton standards. Old, dirty. Worn carpet. Sun faded antique sofa. Weird smell in the room like they are trying to cover some other odor. I stay at a lot of Hampton Inns and this is probably the worst I have ever been in. Someone had used the toilet without flushing too before we got here. read more

For a Hilton property this hotel is not in very good condition. I was disappointed in the condition of the room as well as some of the amenities. The iron that I used to try to iron my clothes was leaking and spilled water all over the clothes I was trying to earn for the next day. To the hotels credit they did bring another iron to replace it. The chair for the desk was not adjustable. The adjustment arm was broken. The food in the buffet was just disgusting. They had these half omelettes that were overcooked and dry. There was Canadian bacon that was floating in some sort of juice or water, and the biscuits were hard as hockey pucks. If I weren't trying to build up my Hilton honors points I would not stay at this hotel. The only saving grace was that the bed was comfortable and the pillows were just right. read more

This spot has an open buffet style of breakfast items, not kits like others during Covid. Had ZERO hot water in the showers and is rather noisy. Next to the ice machine and all you heard was ice and people talking most of the night and early morning. No way to tell if they disinfected the room either, no stickers where placed like other Hamptons. There was still garbage in the waste bin and an open water in the fridge. Considering this state has had a surge in cases I'm a bit concerned and feel as though more precautions could be taken. Overall I got sleep, and it was safe. This is not the standard for an Hampton Inn. Hallways was littered with little candy wrappers, 2nd floor a plastic fork and paper in hallway. When I went down for coffee told clerk there was litter in hallway. Next morning still there. The whole place could use a vacuum cleaner. Issues with shower curtain, wouldn't stay at both ends, because wallboard coming loose. Food was fine in morning, staff friendly. Need someone who will pay attention to details! This hotel (Hampton Inn Olive Branch by Hilton International) was the first Hilton hotel I have ever been to that I was disappointed about. To start off my stay, the front desk workers were friendly and well knowing of things in the region and quick to bringing us any requests to our room. This however does not balance with all the disappointments we were faced with at this hotel. The pool was disgusting and I am posting a picture of it. The water was murky, so much that the third step was barely visible and the floor of the pool (in 3') was not visible. The water had floating garbage and the hot tub was no different. Though the front desk woman at the time claimed that it was. Chlorine pool, she said it so with a questionable tone in her voice. She did not know whether the pool should have looked like so. iThe rooms carpets had an oily film covering it. This forced us to wear our slippers/flip flops in our room. I spent 8 nights here while I was in the area for work. The hotel is located right of US 78/I-22 and it is surrounded by everything you will need(restaurants, grocery store, CVS, gas stations). The room was quiet, clean and somewhat spacious. The breakfast starts at 0600 and I had to be at work by 0600 so I can not comment on the quality of the food, but they did provide a bag breakfast that contained a muffin, apple, granola bar and a water. read more

Being a Marriott Platinum and Hilton Diamond level guest for most of the past 20 years, I've had occasion to stay in a wide variety of Hilton properties and many others. My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn - Olive Branch (MS) last weekend (Jan 2016) while visiting family. While the outside of the building isn't in terrible condition and there are a fair number of decent restaurants nearby, the inside of this property is definitely due for some repairs/refurbishing. We noticed a number of "worn" aspect to walls, doors and especially floors throughout, including halls, stairs and in our room. I wouldn't say it's really bad, but it's not good, or really even close. The hotel staff was friendly for the most part, although there was one particular clerk that checked us in on Sat afternoon that never once looked up from what he was doing (typing, making keys, handing them to us...) to look at us in anyway. I thought that perhaps he might have been having a bad day or at the end of his shift, but when I went to the desk a couple of days later to ask a question about a local restaurant, he was the same and wasn't interested in helping in anyway. He seemed only interested in doing the minimum to process guests through to keep his job. He was really the only one though and numerous others were very nice, especially our House Keeper! One other thing that irked me was being charged for high speed access in spite of it being free to HHonor guests that book online. (A common occurrence at Hilton properties... Check your bill!) Upon checking out out a little after 8AM, I was told I had to call back to speak with a Manager to get it resolved. (This is the irksome part. Perhaps and offer to make a note and have it resolved and then following up with an e-mail or call might have been better than asking me to continue to do the work of fixing their error...) We won't be visiting this property again, as there are too many other options within a reasonable driving distance. If there weren't nearby option, we'd still have to seriously consider whether to stay here again, or try to find another option, possibly even bunking with relatives... Stayed here twice in the past couple of weeks. Could not have asked for more clean or comfortable rooms and superlative customer service. The staff was especially kind to the children in our group. Hotel was not in clean condition. There was mold on multiple walls and all over the entertainment center. Walls were streaked black and the floor made my feet black after a few minutes of walking around. Nice people and they at least did switch our room but overall very disappointing. Would not recommend and will not stay here again. read more

This is the worst place place I've ever been to. Starting with the fact that they stole my prescription glasses. I left my glasses at the hotel room. Called them five times asking for my glasses, and it had mysteriously "disappeared." Every time I called asking about my glasses, a different person with bad attitude and no manners answered the phone. Unhelpful and rude phone attendants. While we stayed there, the toilet didn't work properly, so I called the manager and he told I could "borrow a plunger for unclogging it." Carpet was filthy. Linens were dirty. It smelled bad. Checked in and could tell automatically that this was an average hotel not like any other Hampton I have stayed in. Run down and needs cleaning thoroughly. Lots of stains on walls and the bathroom floor was sticky, carpet ripped in hallways. Had to keep my shoes on to feel halfway comfortable. Room was musky. Just an ok room. Not a clean feeling. Food was available for the 5-7 pm time frame. It was mediocre. Instant potatoes, warmed up wings, soup cafeteria style, boxed brownies and warm only drinks. Wifi doesn't stay on. Pool was warm but towels definitely needed to be picked up. Overall, not the standard clean feeling Hampton I am used to. Just spend the night and get out. It is close to a lot of restaurants so that's a positive. read more
