Easily made a reservation for this only Hilton property hotel in Princeton, IN. Was able to book using Hilton Honors points so it was free for one night of my 11-state road trip. The clerk was super friendly and gave us a restaurant recommendation (apparently most restaurants in Princeton are closed on Mondays). The room was fine with a big bed and work desk, sofa with table, etc. It wasn't the cleanest though. The carpet had not been vacuumed and the sheets were "linty" and had some leftover hairs from previous guests that I'm hoping just didn't come out in the laundry. The AC/heating unit was filthy. The bed was decent, but the pillows provided for a long 12-hour uncomfortable drive the next day. The bathroom could have been cleaner (hairs in the shower and soap tray) and the floor not so clean. It was fine for one night though, except for the window faced the outside open park like space outside on the first level. The "shade" was just a clear pull-down device with no black out feature or curtains over the top or underneath. The bright lights from outside shone brightly all night long! The breakfast buffet in the morning was ample! From home fries, omelets, cereal, yogurt, and coffee to Krispy Kreme donuts........tons of food. The tables weren't so clean (are you sensing a theme here?), but I was impressed with the amount of food and the choices. Five stars to the front desk staff here. The evening clerk was very friendly and personable, as was the morning clerk when we checked out. I'd probably stay in Evansville next time I'm driving through this area, but if you're in Princeton this is a decent place to stop for the night. read more

Great Hampton Inn and good value! They offer a good breakfast with Japanese options available due to its location to the Toyota plant. Also offers a managers reception in the evening with salty snacks and two complimentary alcoholic drinks. One of the very few Hampton Inns that offer this. I believe all of there rooms come with a microwave and fridge. I ALWAYS stay here when I am in the area. Book early... I've seen it sold out several times for no apparent reason. read more

Nice property. Hotels.com dropped the ball on our reservation. Despite having the confirmation email from Hotels.com the hotel had zilch. Happily there was a vacancy and DANIEL, on duty at the desk, was AWESOME and took great care of us. Room is clean, comfortable and the property is very conveniently located. I am writing to share my recent experience with the Hampton Inn hotel located in Princeton, Indiana. My family and I stayed there while my sons participated in the Babe Ruth Cal Ripken World Series. I have to say it was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel!! We stayed for 12 days... and had our room cleaned for the first time on day 9 when they said it would be cleaned on day 4. Their idea of cleaning consisted of taking out the trash and fixing the bed (not changing the sheets, just making the bed). No vacuuming was done (could still see crumbs on the carpet) and hair in the bathroom. When asked if they could clean earlier then day 9, the staff said as follows "we are short staffed and won't be able to clean your room" and "we have 20 check outs today so they won't have time to get to you". I even had to remove my own trash daily. When I went downstairs at one point to get some dry towels, I was told by the front desk that I needed to bring my old towels down from my room myself before they would give me new ones. I am also over 8 months pregnant and was told on several occasions that they will not bring toilet paper or soap up that I need to come down and get it myself. After our room was "cleaned" I put my daughter to bed and got ready to shower to only find they took all towels and I now had none. I called and asked if they could bring me a towel and they said no I would need to come get it myself. I explained my daughter was sleeping and couldn't leave her alone in the room and they said well they can't do anything to help. I paid over $150 a night and am extremely disappointed we were treated so poorly. When I spoke with staff regarding these issues and the bad experience we were having I was told their is nothing they could do and they would have a manger call me (that never happened). What a nice hotel-- Check in was very fast, requested a room at the top, got it. Very accommodating. Gave us free water upon check in. Very friendly service. Handicapped parking. The room is very clean with crisp, clean sheets and a very spacious bathroom. New linens, lighting and furniture to say the least. There is ONE thing that's wrong with this room- THE PILLOWS ARE TERRIBLE!! They Definetly go flat when you lay on them. They need to CHANGE the pillows!! The bed is not broke in yet. Very firm. ----If it wasn't for the pillows and the very firm bed this would be a 5 + star hotel--- Otherwise, satisfied with this room (change the pillows, please) and the downstairs lobby is gorgous-- nice to sit down there, very warm feeling. read more

Nope. Never again. I was in the area for work and checked in early one Sunday evening. Not an hour after checking in, a man I didn't know (who didn't particularly look like an outstanding citizen) knocked on my door. Of course, I didn't answer. Not 20 minutes later, ANOTHER man knocked. I didn't think twice about grabbing my bags (I hadn't even unpacked yet!) and driving farther south to Evansville, where I slept soundly. The management offered me a full refund, no hassles or questions - but seemed puzzled as to why I was so frazzled and upset. It was a nice hotel, but if you're staying alone, please do me a favor and drive the extra 20 minutes to a larger city, a few more lights in the parking lot, and a little more attention to safety. read more

Below average. Beds were cheap. Breakfast well below average. Watered down eggs, thin thin thin bacon and lukewarm coffee. The charger at bedside didn't work. Basic cable (with HBO) but no smart tv. A/c would t respond. Either on or off. And at night it got warm in room. read more

Great for what we needed it for... a place to sleep after a great night at a wedding reception. Right down the road from our venue. Very accommodation when we checked very late due to being in the wedding. Free bottled water was also provided which was much needed at that time of the night. read more

Nice place right off the highway. Room was very clean and comfortable. I made a special request for a room on the upper floor away from elevator. No problems as I was on the third floor at the end of the hallway. The staff was very polite and helpful. read more

Great Hampton Inn. The only issue I had was the pillows look fluffy but when you lay on them they are flat. Other than that our stay here was terrific! The staff is very helpful and they have a decent breakfast. read more

Not a bad place to stay. Room was clean. Had no issues at all with the room. Fitness center had a couple treadmills and some free weights which was nice. They were serving food from 5:30 - 7:30 at night which was nice. Also have free cookies and bottled water at the front desk at all times. This is a nice property, located right off the main thoroughfare. Staff was polite & courteous, and had a modern touch, including my room. The main lobby was representative of that, as well. I enjoyed my stay, with the only negatives being my tub wouldn't drain properly, forcing me to stand ankle-deep in water whiles I was showering. And the fact that they ran out of homemade oatmeal -however, I came in just under the gun at 9:30- 1/2 hour before breakfast service was over - so you snooze you lose ! read more

Such a great place! The staff is amazingly friendly, and honestly want their guests to be pleased. They allowed me an early check in, offer a great breakfast and cookies in the evening. The pool is well maintained, and the lobby is huge and comfy. The rooms are clean, the beds are cozy and have nice pillows. I will certainly stay here again! read more

We were really disappointed with the unprofessional front desk staff. While making my original reservation, I was told I couldn't receive the discounted group rate, even though I had made the reservation well before the one month cut off date. I was then told over the phone they would "change the price and I just needed to be happy with it". While on my way to the hotel - over a 4 hour drive- I called to see if early check in was available and I was told this could not be guaranteed, which is fair. When we arrived, however, I was told there was not a SINGLE room available. We sat around waiting for a room and watched others receive rooms. We asked Teresa at the front desk why others were being given rooms before us, she said it was because their room type was different ( we requested a king, theirs was a queen double). I was then given a queen double I didn't reserve!!! So there WERE rooms available, that were given to others! I was not given an acceptable explanation for this. I was finally put into the correct room after we called out the front desk staff. Very frustrating to be lied to and then have to rush to get ready for a wedding! Will not be coming back. read more
