This review has nothing to do with front desk staff. It's regarding their age policy on check-in for military personnel. Please don't book with this hotel! They need to change their policy especially for 18 year olds serving their country trying to book a room to avoid driving long distance through a storm. There are a lot of responsible 18 year olds and it doesn't make sense that some holiday inns accept 18 and up and some do not. We've all heard you get what you pay for and for the most part I find this to be true in most cases. This is a hotel that is Affordable I don't know if the prices are down right now because of covid. My husband had to be in this area for business so we found a dog friendly hotel and decided to go with him. I love seeing new places and exploring getting out of town. Quite honestly there's nothing here of interest to me. And I looked at the things to do in this area it didn't even mention this town and there was nothing really great even a few Towns over. Especially since we're taking the dog obviously that limits us. And to top it off it looks like it's going to be a chilly rainy day. So I'm not sure I'll find anything of interest to do or take a picture of today but I'm going to give it my best shot. Maybe see something on the way back but asked for this town it really didn't have anything. He was only going to be gone for about an hour likely so I don't have to spend all day here. As for the hotel we got here in the night went to the room. It looks clean kind of modernly decorated it did not look like a newer Hotel but I think they are trying to renovate it. I was a little bit bothered by the smell of paint. I have asthma and it just needs a little bit uncomfortable. But when you travel with a dog you have to be flexible and at least it seemed clean and I didn't feel uncomfortable that bugs were going to get me or anything. I actually fear bed bugs more than covid-19, cancer flesh eating disease, SARS... not that I would want getting you those they have worked in healthcare for 25 years and I've been exposed to a lot of a lot of stuff. I'm telling you most healthcare workers are with me that bed bugs are on the top of the list four concerns. So it was nice to at least be somewhere that we can take our dog and not feel it was gross. Would I have came here if I'd of known that there was really nothing in the town in the weather was going to be crappy probably not. But you never know till you try! If you are traveling in this area ... especially if you have a pet .. I'd say this was decent choice. The bed was comfortable... pillows werent ideal but they did have several. We only stayed the one night but found it to be quiet. We were at the end at room 204 near stairway. There is small indoor pool. read more

I stayed at the Holiday Express in January during the winter storm. I had some issues and contacted headquarters and NO REPLY! It is quite apparent Holdiay Express doesn't care about their customers. I was verbally abused by the desk clerk and two mornings in a row cold decaf coffee. Employees were parking where a guest is to load and unload their cars and the parking lot was NOT cleared of ice and snow. A bank close by had someone clearing their lot. I am 82 and I fell on the parking lot. Luckily, I wasn't injured as I would have laid there without help. The bathroom area had a large crack over the bathtub. The last night I was there I was afraid to go to sleep, because of how rude the desk clerk had been to me. I had a difficult time getting my luggage in my car between the employee blocking the front entrance and ice on the ground. Two bags of ice melt were inside but nothing put out to help prevent a fall. The day I left the new desk clerk was in a hurry to meet his friends on the parking lot and came out of the building waving my receipt while I had luggage in my hands. From the looks of the car and where it parked, I suspected it was his drug buddies. Sad, they won't reply or care about their guests. read more

Please do not let the pictures that come up when you search this hotel fool you. The outdoor picture was either taken when the place was built or the original rendering from the architect when the place was built. My family and I tried staying here for a local even but ended up driving 30 minutes north to a different hotel. The hotel managers children were running all around the lobby barefooted as if it was a playground. That did not bother me as bad as the group of men hanging outside the main front door smoking and drinking bottles of beer while guests entered the building. What made us cancel our stay was when we got into the room and found old food still in our mini fridge (head of lettuce, jar of pickles, and bottle of mustard) along with a plate of pasta in the microwave. If they can't check those simple areas to be cleaned then we were not going to take the chance with our beds and bathroom being cleaned. This is just mine and my families experience. Others might experience things differently. We on the other hand would not plan on attempting to stay here again. read more

When I see the name Holiday Inn, I usually expect a certain level of class, elegance, and comfort. The first thing I noticed upon arriving was about 5-6 men all hanging out in the front smoking cigarettes, and at least one of them smoking a joint, despite the "No Smoking within 8 feet" sign on the door (which was propped open). As I myself have no particular issue with either of these things, I did not want to have my wife and 7 month old daughter subjected to this. After checking in (the staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful), we loaded our belongings on the luggage cart. The Luggage cart was narrow in the front, and extremely wide in the back, making it difficult to maneuver in and out of the elevator and doorways. Once we got to our room, we were surprised with the size of the bedroom. For having to pay $275 for two nights, the room was exceptionally small. The walls must be paper-thin, as we could hear everything the person in the next room was doing. There were no bags in any of the trash cans. There were no laundry bags in any of the closets, either. We had to kill at least 5 stink bugs that we found crawling around the bedroom. You can tell that the room must have been recently renovated, as there were holes in the wall and ceiling. The air conditioner was extremely noisy, and made loud rattling noises while it was running, and loud banging noises every time it turned on or off. The bathtub had gross stains and calcium build-up by the drain. I do want to note that the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The television was a nice size, and it was convenient to have Netflix access as well. The coffee area, mini fridge, and sink area were nice as well. Although I did not have the chance to use these amenities, I did investigate the pool and workout area, and they looked clean and would have been nice to use if I had the time. For a complimentary breakfast, I would label it as fair. The pancake machine was broken down both days we were there. It would appear that the kitchen staff bring things out maybe once or twice, as they had run out of gravy 2 hours before breakfast was over, and staff said the kitchen crew was gone for the day. The best thing about the breakfast was the hot pastries and juice machine. All in all, if I had to return to Princeton, I would probably take a look at the Hampton Inn before I came back here. This did not live up to my expectations of a Holiday Inn. For the price you pay to stay here, you would be better off to find a hotel in Evansville and travel the 30 minutes. read more

Grateful to land here during the ice storm. Pets allowed! Saved the day. Staff was super helpful. I needed a ride to Vincennes and could not get a cab or ride share to come pick me up. Asked the staff and Janie drove me 20miles north. Grateful for management allowing her to give me a ride during her shift. Hotel looked like it had just gone through a remodel. Super clean, new appliances. Would def stay here again. read more

We stayed there for 4 weeks it was the most pleasant, cleanest place we have stayed at in Princeton,the staff was so nice and very accommodating, Stacy Goad the manager went out her way to get us a good room and to make our stay the best experience ever , we are on a travel nurse assignment and we recommend this place to any traveler , house keeping kept us with towels and daily checks to see if we needed anything, complementary breakfast was amazing and saved our stomachs after coming from working night shift with very sick patients, The water was hot and the beds were comfortable as ever , the night shift guy that sits up front was also so kind he would greet us with a good morning everyday we would walk in the door just before the crack of dawn , he was amazing he also toke very good care of us . We will be definitely coming back on another assignment and we will definitely be checking in to the holiday inn and express Princeton Indiana read more
