Don't not book at this hotel, they literally are scamming and overcharging! I'm a diamond member who travels for work and been in the Jackson area for a yr, this is by far the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at! The staff is horrible, the rooms are old and carpet sooo nasty! Towels dirty, the staff is NEVER AT THE FRONT DESK, always outside smoking and than have the worst attitude! You can tell it just had the Hilton name BUT NOT HILTON! These ppl charged my card for Occupancy Tax, ROOM TAX, And Than charge for the room! Unheard of charges and racked up another 60 plus dollars! No other Hilton in Jackson has done this! Stay away, go to the Hilton in Flowood or Ridgeland off 105! The hallway smell like URINE! read more

Nice little town. Decent hotel for the money. A little run down in some spots. Breakfast was average for a hotel lobby. We didn't realize that dogs were allowed so we were surprised to see dog treats by the elevator and large dogs walking around the hallways. If you have dog allergies then beware. read more

The room was spotless. There were plenty of towels in the room. There were clean labels on items to show they'd been sanitized even the doors upon entry. I loved that I could check in and check out from the app and use digital keys. I had an effortless late checkout request also. I loved the layout of the room. I love that the microwave and mini refrigerator worked just fine. The television was a nice size and swivels to accommodate where I sat in the room. Nice shower size also. read more

Nice little room, I really enjoyed the huge rolling bathroom door. The staff was friendly and attentive. My only gripe was that the black out curtain was just a smidgen too short, which gave the sun a hall pass to pierce through and did not allow for sleeping in. The complimentary breakfast was complete with eggs, potatoes, sausage, a waffle maker, cereal, coffee, etc and the dining room was full of comfy seats to choose from. Also, after reading the other reviews, I was under the impression that this hotel was in the middle of nowhere without any places to eat. I was both right and wrong In my assumptions. There are plenty of places you can grab a quick, casual bite - Whataburger, Captain D's, McAlister's, OEC, Ranchito's, McDonald's, etc. If you forget some toiletries or need snacks, there's a CVS, Walgreen's, and Kroger, and Walmart nearby. Highway 49 can get pretty congested, pretty quickly though. read more

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago while traveling from Florida to Texas. This was my halfway point. As I was traveling alone I made sure to park in front of the front entrance. The parking lot was well-lit, and I felt safe walking to and from my car. My room was on the 4th floor which I appreciated. No one walking above me when traveling alone I prefer not to be on the first floor. My room was nice and clean. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The woman who checked me in assured me that the area was very safe. I arrived after dark but still had to run to Kroger down the street to pick up dinner. As it was dark out when I got there, and having never been there before, I couldn't really get a good impression. But there was plenty of fast food and stores around. The only complaint I have about the hotel - or at least my room - was that there was no blackout curtain for the middle of the window. One of the walls was covered in heavy curtains except for the middle section, which only had sheer drapes. There was no curtain to pull over this section so in the morning the sunlight wasn't blocked. Not cool if you are trying to sleep in. Thankfully I sleep with a sleep mask so it was no problem for me. All in all a positive experience. read more

I used the Hilton Honors app to book 2 rooms. Since we were arriving after 10pm I did the digital check in with the room choices and digital keys.. One room went smoothly.. My hubs and my room however, not so much. We unlocked our assigned room with the digital key but it had been rented out to another party. Fortunately they were understanding and not in a compromising situation. Come to find out the hotel had switched their original room to my room so they could be closer to their kids. I went to the front desk and no apology or reason why they changed my room or that I walked into a room of complete strangers. Or that I now was going to be on another floor from my kids, ironically. The room was fine.. People were noisy above us until about 2am. Shower water had a weird smell.. Almost sewerish. Probably won't stay here again or use digital keys. Horrible experience. Show ip to hotel only to find they did not reserve our rooms as confirmed by Hilton. Finally get us a room and find out that the amenities do not work (fridge, ac, curtains do not close). Call down to front desk and they agree to give us a discounted rate, but at check out they charge us the discounted rate plus the full room rate. Tried working with the hotel to credit a refund, and no luck! Worked with Hilton Customer service, and they would not help. Reach out to the CEO and they did not help. Be careful with your choice of hotels, Hilton will take advantage of you and not care. read more

I must admit that Hampton Inns (Hiltons) would not my first choice but my cousin was driving and it is her preferred hotel...WHY? Five stars! Very clean, well laid out property. Parking is ample and extremely well lighted. Security cameras made us feel secure in leaving items in our vehicle (nothing missing come sun up)! Carpets and floors seem clean. Elevator had a little *traffic* showing but it was not bad and it's a high traffic area so not bothersome. Wifi had weak spots but worked 99% of the time. Staff was on point. If we needed it they had it! Breakfast is a nice selection of healthy options. I would prefer straight up pork sausage, but the turkey options weren't bad. They also provide a On the Go grab bag for guests that wish to have it. The bag includes a muffin, a fresh fruit, cereal bar, and a bottled water! Epic offering! Rooms were well sized and very comfortable even for three people. Decor and linens are amazing and fresh! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! read more

Ok, I rarely do a review but I feel I must on this hotel. We are diamond members of Hilton (which I'm not bragging just stating a fact) My husband walked in and was never greeted with a hello or anything. My husband gave our last name, the guy checked him in. Never spoke to my husband, didn't say where the elevators were. NOTHING, no personality whatsoever. Didn't offer him the free water or snack. While unloading our vehicle, I came and sat on a chair right In Front of the guy for about 5 minutes, he once again NEVER uttered a word. Then his replacement came on duty. Well here is where the problem really is. What an attitude that women has. She spends all her time BITCHING to some guests (men who appear to stay there frequently for work). So I thought well-she's having a bad day let it go. BUT she had 3 bad days in a row, just rude. My husband went down to get some fresh towels from the front desk. Of course, she was complaining to two men that were staying there for work. She was extremely put out when he asked for a couple of large towels. Went in the back and brought him 2 washcloths. He said, no the big bath towels. She said he asked for wash clothes. She was pissed because she had to walk down the hallway to get bath towels. You are NOT cleaning the room for us until we leave, so be appreciative that is all we need. He had also asked for some bar soap, she told him, you CAN'T have bar soap. He asked, why? She said, they don't have it. He responded with, yes you do, it's in my room already. Then she started slamming drawers and pulled out 2 bars of soap and gave them to him. Putting on a show in front of the two men she was complaining to. Honestly, this should NOT be the person greeting your guests. The rooms were clean, no issues there. read more

What a pleasant surprise at this Hampton! Making the reservation I anticipated an older property, which it is, and driving South on US 49 from I-20, the neighborhood didn't look great. I had low expectations on arrival, but the lobby was updated so nicer Han expected. I still anticipated an older style room - boy, was I surprised! The rooms have been completely updated. Wood grain tile at entrance and in bathroom. Stylish bathroom fixtures and excellent lighting. Sliding door for bathroom/closet access with full mirror. Bed and linens standard for remodeled Hamptons, flat screen TV, microwave, fridge. Lounge chair and side table. EXCELLENT desk chair and plenty of lighting. Good heat/AC unit - quiet! Room toward back of hotel - not much noise from the street traffic. Very comfortable. read more

I been staying at Hampton for 3 years a different one every week. The Hampton Inn receives an epic 1 star for several reasons. Reason one: Poor service, I believe the front desk attendant hides. The 20 times I walked past the front desk only once was someone there. They didn't even acknowledge me, not a good bye, good morning, or anything. That has never happen out 100+ stays. Reason two: Hwy 49 is a wall of torment. You would rather walk than try to leave for a bite to eat. Reason three: every thing is lopsided, there are construction tools that would put everything in alignment. Ok maybe that just irritates me. Reason four: No CW which means I missed Flash and Green Arrow. Alright I vented too much. Please just stay at the Hampton in Pearl. That place is a 5 star. But I do have low standards. A hi will at least get you 3 stars. read more

This hotel provides a surprisingly high level of service. I say surprisingly high because it's a modest hotel and we've stayed in some amazing resorts in our time in which the level of service is comparable. Though they don't have 12 people at your constant beck and call, their staff is attentive, friendly and accommodating. The hotel manager called us 10 minutes after we checked in to ensure we had everything we needed and that the room was satisfactory. The hotel rooms are clean... They even clean the bedspreads between each use which you can find almost nowhere including those resorts I mentioned earlier. The free breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast but the service area was clean and well attended. We forgot a toothbrush and they supplied one free of charge. If you're stopping in Richland, this is a hotel with reasonable rates, clean rooms, and friendly service. read more

Very pleasantly surprised. We arrived in town late and all the hotels around Jackson were full. Saw this one, pulled in and they had two rooms left. Very nice decor. Clean and quiet!!. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was the normal fare but nicely presented and food was not dried out as in many "breakfast included" places. read more

Super clean and the employees were great & helpful. However the only problems we had was the water was gray & smelt like lake water & after 15 minutes of continuously running it, it still didn't change. Then while we were moving luggage to the car (2 hours before check out) the cleaning ladies came in & started throwing our stuff away. read more

This hotel - looks to be almost brand new. Room was nice and clean and met all our needs. Extra kudos to this location - they were nice enough to let us leave our daughter's car there for the week while we traveled farther south to another location for Spring break. We will definitely stay at this location again if we are in the area. read more
