Might would have better falling asleep at the wheel. We read some sketchy reviews about bed bugs . My husband asked the man at the desk and he said there weren't any. That part was true, but he failed to mention the other critters living within the rooms. Pulled the covers back to find fleas hopping in the sheets (no picture because fleas are really fast and we were too busy killing them). The bed cover had a nasty stain of God knows what ( shown in pictures). Fridge was disgusting (see pictures). Floor, oh my gosh, so filthy. Don't think they EVER mopped the floors (see pictures). Didn't take a picture of how dirty things were behind the night stand.... I'm writing this a week after the stay and I am still alive disease free, so you might want to give it a shot if you want to strengthen your immune system!

When we stayed the hotel was still going through renovations and that was fine because in comparison with previously posted pictures by other yelpers it doesn't even look like the same hotel. They are pet friendly so my furry friends and I highly enjoyed our stay. Modern, clean, and spacious. Included in the price for the stay they offer continental style breakfast with waffles, hard boiled eggs, bread, coffee, juice and cereal. It's a bit interesting to get to because it's on the east side of the access road. But if you use your GPS, it will get you there about the time you think you've missed it. It is surrounded by industrial type businesses. There are no restaurants or stores within walking distance. However, within a short drive there are many shops and restaurants. The hotel staff was efficient. I cannot say the gentleman at the front desk was warm or welcoming, but he was efficient. Rooms open to the outside like a motor lodge. This one had been remodeled a few times. It did look nice and was clean. There is free parking, free WiFi, and a pool that looked well maintained. The room had sufficient lighting, and plenty of electrical outlets for charging devices, including some above the nightstands. There was a TV, mini-fridge, a small microwave, and a place for hang-ups (most people have a couple). The bathroom was equipped with dispensers on the wall for shampoo, conditioner and soap. Well, one had detached from the wall and was propped to the side. I bring my own, so I didn't use theirs. The hot water was hot as it should be. I did notice it seemed they use a water softener because I never felt completely rinsed. Some areas could be improved. In my room, some of the floor tiles were loose. There was an open space at the bottom of the door, as much as an inch, so that light from the outside shone through onto the floor. I put something in front of it to keep bugs from entering. The towels were quite thin and, if you want to wrap one around your waist, you had better be thin too, or it will reveal things like a hospital gown wherever you attempt to join the ends! In spite of that, I did get dry. Breakfast is a really big word for what is offered each morning. "Lthe ironicly named "continental" breakfasts are usually bigger. There was coffee, make-your-own waffles and mini-muffins. All I needed was coffee, and I make my own in-room, so I didn't care. Still.. the price I paid on Expedia was low, and I did sleep well. So, I was happy, and pleased with my stay.

Most of the time when you have a complaint with a hotel it is something over looked or was unexpected or employee performing below standards. In this case this owner made the intentional decision to furnish this room with a disgusting sofa/bed. While this is not the first time I have found soiled sofa/bed in a Surestay it is the first time my party wanted to use the bed in the sofa. There was no way any of us wanted to sleep on it. Makes you wonder what they were passing off under the covers of the bed beds (insert horrified face emoji here). I wish Best Western would dump the Surestay brand it literally soils their reputation in the hospitality industry. I brought this up with Best Western corporate and they did give me additional points for the inconvenience but they did not give me the impression they were going do anything about the problem with this hotel particularly or with the Surestay brand generally. I got the song and dance that they can't force the owners to invest money in their hotels. Really!!! If you have no influence in that regard why let them use your name. When, I spoke with the front desk staff, came to realize that they are owned by another owner and it crying for renovations. Hotel advertised on their website many false adds, like hot meals, clean pools. This is not true, there was nothing hot in that hotel, not even a coffee! They hand you a bag of luncheon with orange, snacks for breakfast. Coffee pot in the room is old, that we had to order out. Rooms was okay to stay when in desperate situations. Customer service was great, but they need to do more. It's not really too bad, just need some touch up and remove false adds on the website. We left and check in to another nicer hotel that actually serves hot breakfast with airport shuttle and amazing services. Be careful all and stay safe MI.

The staff was polite and very helpful when I brought up the issue with the toilet not working properly. The front desk guy personally came up with a plunger, called someone for advice, and even watched a YouTube video while trying to clear the clog himself -- which I appreciated. However, he used all of our bathroom towels in the process of cleaning up, leaving us with nothing to use afterward. It also seemed like the room had already experienced a plumbing issue before we arrived. The bathroom floor looked freshly mopped, and the carpet just outside was damp -- my socks got wet walking around. It felt like the toilet had previously flooded and they were just trying to fill the room vacancy without fully addressing the issue. The area outside also felt a bit sketchy at night, which added to the discomfort. This is the third time I've had issues with IHG hotels, and I'm starting to worry that the quality of their properties is declining. I really don't want to believe that, but experiences like this make it hard to ignore. Not the worst stay I've ever had, but I definitely won't be returning.
