View out my third floor window just before dawn.
    John S.

If you get just one thing from this review: ask for a room on the parking lot side of the building. You do NOT want to be facing the road. Arrived here around 9pm for what was to be a two-night stay. The room was decent -- good desk, acceptable chair, microwave (in suites only, here) and mini-fridge. Comfy bed, good water pressure. Others have complained about rude staff, but no one was rude to me. However. While unpacking I noticed that the cars going by sounded kind of loud. I looked out the window and realized that the road was closer than I thought... and the windows really did not do a good job of keeping the noise out. But I figured hey, it's evening, maybe people drive like jerks? This got steadily worse over the next couple hours, then mercifully started to drop off around midnight. I was asleep by 1am. I awoke at 4:30am to what sounded like a racetrack just outside. I rolled out of bed and staggered over to the window, pulled up the shade, and stood in full view of the street in my underwear -- if I traumatized any commuters I apologize -- and just could not believe the level of noise. I ate a snack and crawled back into bed. I wedged my head between two pillows and nearly dozed off a couple times, but each time was awoken by a particularly impatient driver taking off from the red light just outside. At 6am I called the front desk, and it went something like this: "Hi I'm in room 304 and the street noise is... unreasonable. Would it be possible to move me to a room that is a bit less noisy?" "We only have a few rooms available and we can move you to another one but it will also face the road." "No, that's not going to help." "Well I'm off at 7 and the day manager starts at (whatever) and if you call back later we can see if any rooms open up." "OK, I will check back then." "I'll make a note that you'll be calling." "OK, thank you." And with that I went back to bed and eventually dozed off somehow for a few more hours. After I got up I called the Hilton Garden Inn down in Wilsonville, told them the situation, and asked if they had a room. They did. I went about my business (I didn't come just to check out the hotel) and around 5 returned to the hotel to break the news about leaving... and that I wouldn't be paying for another night in the noisiest hotel room I've ever been in. But, dear reader, a miracle occurred. It turned out that not only were there a whole bunch of rooms available, several of them faced the parking lot, including one on the very floor I was staying on. So we agreed that I'd move over to another room, and the hotel graciously lent me a microwave so I wouldn't be microwave-less in my downgraded room (just how graciously I'm not sure because I never received an itemized bill via email as I requested)... but this room was a LOT quieter. And from here on out, I don't have much to complain about. I'm leaving some stuff out -- the elevators, both of them, were out of order when I arrived but were fixed halfway through my stay, and other guests said they had ants in their room, but I thankfully did not see any. The housekeeping staff was unusually quiet, for which I was grateful, as I had some sleep to catch up on. I even extended my stay another day. But sweet Jesus do not, whatever you do, rent a room in this place facing the road, unless you are deaf. If you are you can disregard pretty much all of this except maybe the ants. Oh and that place down in WIlsonville is pretty nice. I've stayed there before.

This bathroom was actually clean until we got ahold of it. This is just to show how small the shower is in the ADA room we got by accident.
    Kristi D.

I accidentally requested an ADA room. I KNOW. But it was very revealing. Everything was good except the shower. It was much too small, so the floor got really wet. Like SO wet. They wisely installed a drain outside the shower so about half of water drained into it. There was also a bench and a handheld. Water pressure was good, and water got nice and hot. The support bars were nice and sturdy. And the bathroom was really roomy. But the size of that shower was very confusing. Another reviewer said a unit facing the street was noisy, but ours was also facing the street and I could literally hear nothing. It was perfect, if a bit dim from the lack of overhead lighting in the sleeping area. The room was large, clean, and nicely appointed, with a desk and a table on either side of the TV. There was a refrigerator and wine cooler and small set of wire drawers but no microwave. The closet held two rods - one at a regular height and one at a lower height. No luggage rack, but I also didn't request one. The door held 2 peepholes - one at the regular height and one at a lower one - and there was a doorbell for the hearing impaired as well. The hotel itself isn't very large, but staff was top notch - professional, friendly, and efficient! A hot breakfast is included, and it was delicious, with a good variety of items including an egg item (first day was individual omelettes and the second day at scrambled), a meat option (first day bacon, second day smoked sausage, both of which were cooked perfectly), a potato option both days, 2 flavors of waffle batter (and toppings), cereal, fruit, yogurt, and biscuits and a variety of juices! As with all Hampton Inns, coffee, tea, and cocoa are offered 24 hours a day, and there is a well-stocked snack bar and a 24-hour business center. There is a small pool (no hot tub), and the pool area itself has a shower and bathroom. Small but well stocked workout room too. And did I say free parking? We've now stayed at 2 different Hampton Inns and I think it goes without saying that we will continue to seek them out. The price is right, they've been clean and modern, we always get great service, and I think the breakfast and free parking speak volumes. We heart Hampton Inn!

Highway 99 is within 20 feet from the hotel!!

As a Hilton Lifetime Honors Diamond member with over 2000 nights at Hilton properties around the US, this Tigard Oregon Hampton Inn wins the top prize as the noisiest room I have ever occupied! Don't be fooled by the fresh new hotel façade because you will have an extremely difficult time sleeping here! New cheaply & poorly built property with zero sound proofing. The furniture and cabinets are already showing significant wear. (see pictures) in less than a year during Covid! My room 304 was on top of Highway 99 (within 25 feet of the traffic and the traffic noise was so loud it frequently drowned out the television volume! I can't recommend this hotel to anyone because I guaranty that you will not get much, if any sleep. What I really don't understand is why they would put a loyal Hilton customer of 20 years in their worst room? In speaking with the front desk clerk, all the suites are on this side of the building so stay with a standard room and you will be more than satisfied. From inspecting this new property, It appears Hampton Standards for new construction has sunken to Motel 6 or Super 8 levels where guest comfort is no longer considered as a requirement! The mattress was the only part of my stay that was what it should be. Recommendation: Get really drunk before you go to bed. I complained about the noisy room to the front desk and I was promptly moved to the "Quiet" side. This raised my original rating from 1 to 2 stars on Yelp. Unless, you receive a room on the parking lot side of the hotel, this is a poor choice for lodging in the Sherwood area.

Brand new property that opened midway through the Covid-19 pandemic. I stayed for a couple of days while in nearby Tigard, Portland, and Vancouver across the Columbia River, and absolutely enjoyed my stay. One minor room complaint- the room doesn't have central lighting, meaning that you have to utilize several of the room lamps. This means that your room may be slightly dark if you don't utilize the natural light from the room during the day. Beds are marshmallow soft, and not too hard. No microwave, yet there is a mini-fridge. The shower has questionable water pressure, yet adequate nonetheless. No laundry facility (I had to use a laundromat called Wash Tub 0.7 miles away), yet there is a fitness center. Unfortunately, the fitness center is closed during the pandemic. Breakfast is a brown bag to go, with choices of a fruit bar, yogurt, and not much else. Parking seems to be plentiful, yet driving in and out of this facility is weird. You are either driving into a residential neighborhood that has a round-a-bout that will route you to the hotel, or drive by the Generations Bar & Grill to access the parking lot. I highly recommend using the latter- the round-a-bout way cam be cumbersome, especially during night hours if you aren't paying attention. With regard to customer service, I had a really good experience with the young man at the front desk (early mid twenties) who recommended me to both Generations Bar & Grill next door + Wash Tub down the street. However, the attractive, blonde early 30s female morning agent (presumably the general manager) was a bit rude. Rude in her approach when I greeted her politely during the first rain of the week after the excessive smog due to the nearby wildfires, and rude in demanding my room key and room number when I indicated three times that I checked out online through the Hilton mobile app. I honestly see what the other reviews referred to when dealing with rudeness, since they obviously talked with her. Not the typical Oregonian hospitality that I would expect. Welcome to Portland metro.

I wasn't overly impressed with the breakfast but at least we received some breakfast items which is better than nothing during the pandemic.

What an amazing surprise from my sweet husband…read more My husband surprise booked a night and whole day spa for my 40th birthday. I had no idea I was coming here, even less idea of the services I was getting. But here we are. We started off with Maisy doing my mud treatment Then Trisha who did my massage during a couple treatment Followed by for my hydrofacial What an incredible time here. Honestly it's clean, service so friendly, so professional and very relaxing. I was blessed that I came with some girlfriends before Covid but have not been back since. What a blessing to be surprised by my husband for this lovely treat.

Last Christmas, I purchased a gift card for my wife for Spa sessions at The Allison Inn and Spa…read more I've had my eye on the place ever since I heard they offered quality facilities and services. She is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and this time, 5 years ago, had gone through a double mastectomy, and then some major reconstruction surgery after that, earlier in the year. I wanted to give her some quality time at the best spa in the region. Our daughter, who recently moved to the area from Virginia, made plans to go with her since she practically lived in spas back in VA and wanted to check out this local Spa. My daughter owns her own business and was in a busy time of year so it took them months to settle on a day when they could both enjoy the day together. The day before they were to go, my daughter was called away on an urgent trip out of the country. The Allison Spa has a 48-hour cancellation policy but we explained this was truly an emergency on my daughter's part. We even offered to show them her plane ticket for her trip. I can understand the business reason for a cancellation policy, employees are brought in to serve clients, space is made available for scheduled guests, it is important in order to make a business run smoothly. It is also a business decision to allow or deny someone not wanting to have to pay the penalty for cancelling an appointment the day before the appointment. That decision that day cost them probable monthly visits from my daughter, and being crossed off my list of places I would recommend people to go to enjoy quality spa services. My wife loved the massage she received and said Sydny was amazing; however, my wife is 5' tall, she had a very hard time in the hydro bath, slipping down in the tub to where she had to hold on to the side for almost the whole treatment to keep from going under. When the assistant came, her comment was: "I'll tell the management". There is a waiting area at the spa check-in counter for people waiting for the clients to come out from the Spa itself. I waited there for about a half hour knowing they would come get me when she came out. She had been out for almost that half hour and hadn't been told I was waiting, I was pretty much ignored. I know, I sound like a complainer, but this was supposed to be a special day, and it wasn't close to what I hoped it would be for her. The cancellation fee cut into her gift card package and she did not get the full benefit of it. I'm trying to be fair to the Allison, and actually my lunch there was excellent and the service and attitude of employees, with the exception of the Spa counter staff, throughout was excellent. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. However, I am extremely disappointed and still very upset with the treatment my wife, my daughter and I received from the Spa. I hope it was an anomaly for The Allison's sake.

Very clean, huge room with a massive shower and comfy beds, mostly friendly staff, and very decent breakfast. It's also near the town of Aurora which is historic and known for its numerous antique stores so it was a little bonus - fun to explore on my last day. I'm a Diamond member and often stay at Best Westerns - this location is a solid choice for short stays. Since I had a later flight, I asked for a late checkout and they accommodated me immediately without issue for a 1pm checkout. I booked online via my account and chose one of their "larger" two-queen bedrooms and it was definitely very roomy. It has two comfy, soft queen beds and great pillows; a wet bar with fridge, microwave, and Keurig; desk, seating area, dresser, TV and two nightstands; very large bathroom with huge shower - all super clean and lots of counter space. I was totally comfortable here. I was on a floor that's a few steps down from "ground level" so I had a smaller half-window sort of bc it's partially underground I think. But it looked out onto the green space/forested area behind the hotel - was somewhat peaceful. But bc it's so close to the highway you always hear lots of traffic noise - but I honestly only noticed it during the day - it was very quiet at night and I slept well. I loved the shower - it was so big and had lovely decorative tiles with a nice shower head and excellent water pressure. The water gets hot very fast and everything was so clean - no complaints about the bathroom! They have a large breakfast space that has sunroom style windows which make for lovely views while you eat. They had a decent variety of breakfast items - 2 styles of eggs (scrambled & veggie/cheese omelette), sausage, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cereal, waffle making station and various other cold items. It was good - best hotel breakfast I experienced on this trip. I'm taking away a star bc of the room location they gave me. Their elevator was out of service and the workmen started working on it BEFORE 7 am the day I was leaving. When I checked in, they told me the elevator had been out of service for several weeks - so this is something they were well aware of and they put me in the room right next to the elevator. I was already up and about so it didn't wake me up. But all I could hear for the rest of the day was drills, hammers, loud talking, some shouting - basically a bunch of construction-site noise lol. They really shouldn't be putting anyone in those rooms with all that going on. Also - they didn't tell me before my stay that their elevator was out of service. Not a problem for me, but could be a huge issue for someone with a disability so be aware. That being said - many of the staff I encountered were very warm and friendly! A few seemed like they really didn't want to be there but most were happy and welcoming. They have a very large parking lot and are conveniently located right next to I-5 - about 30 minutes south of PDX. I'd definitely consider staying again.

On the other hand when I was checking out today Sunday July 27th 2025 the lady who was there was not friendly. She kind of just looked at me like a deer caught in the head lights. No greeting, no good morning, not nothing. Location: for the price paid, the location was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The bed was well cushioned, the pillows were fluffy but I would say get bigger pillows and ditch all the small ones. Too many miniature pillows. Overall my stay was pleasant. A few suggestions for management: 1. The bathroom lighting is not good, too dark. Specially the shower. Would be nice if you install better lighting in there, it's kinda creepy. 2. Make the parking spaces bigger, they are way too small. I had a very hard time parking my truck in those tiny spaces. Cars looked like sardines in those tiny spots. Other than that, I would stay here again. If you're on a budget, this is a good choice.
