A very comfortable, safe, clean and enjoyable place to stay. I stayed with my family for one night, a Sunday, in a room with double queen beds. The parking lot is well lit and maintained, as well as the grounds. The interior furnishing and decorations in the lobby and hallways are all up-to-date, clean, and well cared for. The breakfast bar included canned fruit, bananas, bagels, potatoes, scrambled eggs, French toast sticks, oatmeal, cereal, a waffle maker, and a beverage machine. The staff were absolutely friendly, kind, welcoming, and helpful. The room we stayed in was up-to-date in all its furnishings. The sheets and pillows were very clean, comfortable, and plentiful. Compared to other hotels I've stayed in the bed's mattress comfort was a little in the hard side. My only other criticism is the size of the tv. It was probable 35", and that's probably generous. The bathroom was also very clean and I felt safe taking a shower. The shower head was adjustable.

I had so much trouble finding this place (and so did my GPS) so take note - when you get off the turnpike take an immediate right.

We've stopped in this areas several times during our trips from MI to MD. This time around we tried…read morethe holiday Inn express. The room was near perfect. The bathroom sorely needs an exhaust fan. It was super humid after I took my shower. The refrigerator was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The door locked as it should, which helps me feel secure in the room. Breakfast was also impressive. Sausage gravy, biscuits, pancakes, cereal, muffins, bacon, sausage, eggs, and more. Might even be the highlight of the hotel. The pool and workout room were rather disappointing. The pool was so cold thst we only stayed in for 10 minutes. There were also little black spots floating in it. Not enough to cause concern, but still strange. The workout room was large and had 3 different machines (treadmill, elliptical, and bike) along with freeweights, a bosu ball, and a foam roller. There is a main TV and smaller tvs on each machine. I couldn't get any of them to work so I stopped by the front desk. According to the worker, none of the smaller tvs work, only the main TV. When turned on it says "this device hasn't been registered" meaning none of the work. There are clearly some kinks they need to work out with the pool and exercise room. Once they do, this will be a 5 star place ro stay.

Room was nice enough. Fan in bathroom would be nice. No USB ports ANYWHERE in the room and chronic…read moreloose power outlets that cant hold charger connections and keep falling out. Me'h exterior, pretty much no grass on site. The whole town is a tangle of rear entrances and one way driveways that make it difficult to enter the grounds. Of key note, the entrance of the Penn Turnpike runs in front of the property, has no entrance to the hotel, and you must enter the toll highway and come back from the next exit, 30+ miles away. Lobby seems to be in the middle of reno with lots of construction supplied stored in the open. Breakfast was good, mattress and pillows just average, lost of hot water and AC. Price is high for the location, mixed amenities, and local traffic pattern.

The staff makes the difference -- Kelsey welcomed me when I checked in and was very friendly and helpful in printing out and applying my tax exemption. Overnight, somehow I managed to lose my room key from the time I went to sleep and woke up and Debbie was friendly and helpful in making me a new one at 4:30 AM. Finally, although I was scheduled for three nights, work concluded early and Theresa was super helpful with checking me out, getting me an accurate receipt quickly, and, unbelievably, offering to mail a post-card for me. I could not have experienced nicer, more gracious people than Kelsey, Debbie, and Theresa. Thank you! My room was very clean. It's an older hotel and the bathroom is kind of small but the toilet is newer and air assisted and flushes well and quietly; there is plenty of hot water, and the shower is powerful and refreshing even on the top floor. The bed, surprisingly, felt old -- meaning it wasn't memory foam, but it was comfortable and I slept well. The PTAC in the wall was quiet and effective in maintaining the temperature in the room. And the TV offered a good, sharp picture. I would prefer if Comfort Inn offered TCM because we don't have television at home and I like old movies but that's a preference. The dining room is delightful as evidenced by the sturdy, plentiful, and comfortable seating options. I also loved the flowers on each of the tables. This isn't something I see at many lower-rate hotels and sets this hotel apart from most others I've visited. This isn't just a place to scarf down breakfast but it's a classy, comfortable, spacious area to relax in. I like to eat my waffle and sip coffee while chatting with other guests or watching vehicles enter or leave the nearby Turnpike. I haven't been to Somerset in years but if I get sent back again for work, this is where I will stay moving forward.

The only and I mean only thing I would have liked was more outlets to plug all my electronics in. Next time I am going to travel with a power strip. But if I am in the area I will definitely stay here again
