Also kind of rustic looking too, it was very comfortable It came with a hutch with a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, silverware and coffee/tea, iron and board, tv, dresser, closet with hangers and rugs all over the cement floor. The bed was VERY comfortable. The one akward thing is that you can indeed hear very well through the walls, ceiling and floor, but luckily I knew the people next to us so yeah. Also, I was super excited about their breakfast basket for around $15. I am glad I tried it but I wouldn't get it again, the only thing home made was the quiche, which was delicious but tiny. We came here for a wedding, and it was a lot of fun and the snow just never stopped. You do have to drive to Green Gables which is about 2 mins in the car or 40 mins by foot in the snow. I was surprised to see this place had no vacancies during the winter, I can see why, its just very pretty when there is snow all around. It's still kind of expensive in the off season, but if they can fill it up most of the time then great!

Since we were already in the area, we decided to visit the Flight 93 Memorial. On the way, while on Route 30 we stopped at the Coal Miner's Diner for lunch. We found the restaurant to be charming and the waiter was friendly and very attentive to our needs, although he was brand new at the job. The menu was generally composed of "Comfort Food" all of which were enticing. Given the schedule we decided to keep the meal simple, Two of us decided to try the Mushrooms and Cheese Hamburger with French Fries, one ordered the special of the day, Stuffed Cabbage Soup and the 4th of the party ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger with Onion Rings. We all found the food to be well prepared an cooked not to mention tasty. In addition they offer interesting pastries. The house specialty is Gob Cakes, a soft, cake-like cookies sandwiched together with a creamy frosting filling. They are available in a variety of flavors, including classic chocolate, vanilla, and peanut butter, the Gob Cakes are a must-try. We came away knowing we will be back next time we are in Jennerstown. When you are in the area you should try the Coal Miner's Diner

Positives: Dawn was extremely friendly, and we got to meet one of her kittens. I think she genuinely wanted us to feel welcome. The B&B is in a convenient location if you want to explore the shops around the square. Negatives: Everything in the room felt like it needed an update. The bed itself and bathroom were clean, but the rest of the room didn't feel extremely clean. The carpet was stained pretty badly, which gives me "Icks". The shower is also VERY small. I'm not sure how a large man would make that work. The biggest problem we had was that, when she took us to our room, she informed us that we would be having breakfast at a restaurant down the street in the morning. She handed us a beat up menu and said to tell them we were a guest there. We were pretty taken aback. Part of the reason we booked this B&B, or any B&B for that matter, is the homemade breakfast experience, prepared by your host. The description on the website, bragged about her wonderful breakfasts. Once we figured out that the "restaurant " was actually a bar and grill, we decided to go find a good breakfast out of town. So, we paid twice for our breakfast. Our trip to Ligonier was nice, but the B&B experience was a little disappointing. You may want to make sure she's serving breakfast

However when we arrived, which was well after the allowed check-in time, we found no one there and also the street, parking area, steps and sidewalk were all covered in 6 or more inches of snow. We phoned her and she was rather rude. She then came to the inn but at that pint we were not able to wait for her to try and clear the snow. We told her we would find lodging elsewhere--she agreed to a full refund but then never gave us refund. She eventually did refund us but not full amount. We should have gotten full refund. It is hotel/lodging responsibility to provide clear/safe passage to their establishments. I would never recommend this property.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made checking in and out a pleasant process. The beds were comfortable, and the room itself was clean, providing a decent spot to rest for the night. I also appreciated the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in the shower--a nice touch that's more convenient and eco-friendly than the usual tiny bottles, something I wish more hotels would adopt. However, there were a few drawbacks that kept this from being a standout stay. The pool was a bit of a letdown--it had a strange smell, which we also noticed when taking showers, so it might just be the local water. Still, the pool itself looked a little murky and was definitely in need of relining or repainting to freshen it up. On the plus side, they had a hot tub, which is a rare find in hotels these days and a nice bonus for a quick soak. The breakfast was average--nothing amazing, just standard fare like eggs, sausage, and pastries that got the job done but didn't leave a lasting impression. Overall, the Comfort Inn & Suites was fine for a quick layover, with a clean room and friendly staff, but the pool's condition and the uninspiring breakfast kept it from being more than a middle-of-the-road experience. It served its purpose for our one-night stop, but we'd probably look for other options if we're passing through Johnstown again.

Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we checked in. The room itself did not meet expectations, including an unusually small television for a suite. While that was disappointing, it was not the main issue. The following morning, we attempted to use the jetted tub that was one of the primary reasons we booked this room. As the tub filled, brown water containing visible waste material came out of the faucet and into the tub. We immediately went to the front desk to report the issue. The employee offered us a second room, but when we checked that room, the exact same problem occurred--brown, contaminated-looking water coming from the tub. At that point, we requested a refund because the room we paid for was unusable and the situation was clearly not isolated to a single room. The front desk employee told us the matter was "out of his hands" and could not provide a refund. Rather than showing empathy or attempting to help, he responded with attitude and frustration toward us despite the circumstances. With no reasonable solution offered, we had no choice but to pack our belongings, leave the hotel, and spend hours of our vacation searching for alternative accommodations. This caused significant inconvenience, stress, and wasted valuable family time during a weekend that was supposed to be special. Clean water and basic customer service should be the minimum standard for any hotel. The condition of the rooms and the lack of support we received when reporting a serious issue were completely unacceptable. We left extremely disappointed and would not stay here again.
