King-size room has a chair, not sofa and coffee table as advertised.

Pros: - Updated - Large TV - Only decent place to stay in town. Cons: - The description and picture of the room I booked (King Room) said and showed a sofa and coffee table. There was only a chair instead. - No NFL Network; - Room is somewhat dark; - Elevator is painfully slow. The first con really bothers me. That's false advertising.

A nice place to stay in Summersville This multi-story hotel is located at the intersection of 41 and 19 sandwiched between the McDonalds and Lowes. It is a very nice hotel to stay in for this area. There is parking all around the building. The entrance is a covered portico with a desk as you enter on the right and the eating area on the left. Check-in was easy and the staff was very nice. In fact they got us a sewing kit when we needed it for wedding repair. There is a pool but it was covered over when we visited. The room was very nice. With a King bed, seating area, large bathroom and good desk space. The decorations in the room were nice. There were no closets but the back wall had an interesting hangar arrangement that seemed to work well for hanging items up and allowing maximum visualization of your items. The desk had a nice charging arrangement on the side nearest the window. There is a workout room on the first floor between the front desk and the elevators that is open from 6am -12 pm right off the front lobby. It has a recumbant bike, treadmill and another cardio machine. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay in the area at a reasonable price.

If you have to stay in Summerville, which city isn't the best to be caught having to stay in, you can't do much better than Hampton Inn Summersville. Like all Hampton Inns, the rooms are clean, breakfast and Wi-Fi are included, and the staff well trained, friendly and polite. The best thing about Hampton Inn Summersville is that it is located close to the strip mall, shopping centers and restaurants though you won't find any significantly good restaurants in Summerville; well, that is to say I never have and I've been to a lot of them.

Stayed one night. Everyone was polite and helpful. The hotel is nice and clean but the beds were hard and crunchy.

Having said that, the area around the gorge doesn't have an enormous number of options and prices are high, so a place like this can be a pragmatic pick. The hotel is in a shopping center and at the time of my visit, had a parking area that was in quite poor condition with numerous potholes. I completed an online checkin in advance, but you still have to talk to someone to pick up a keycard, and their one employee was apparently busy. A group of us waited at least fifteen minutes or so before she finally returned and started handling our needs, which I take more as a comment on the staffing decisions than on one individual person as I assume there was some reason for her absence. Having waited so long, I forgot a water bottle in the lobby and returned an hour later to find it still there, untouched by any other guest and not noticed by staff. The room itself was pretty good. Decent curtains, and solid air conditioning. Noise was not zero, but only occasional; I have found other locations in this part of WV that were harder to sleep in due to road noise or trains. I brought my own breakfast as I wasn't expecting much from theirs. Having said that, a lower end hotel in a good location can be a lifesaver, and this one at least met my basic needs.

Room was nice, warm & very clean. Bed super comfortable & I passed right out. Shower was great temp & perfect pressure. Had the complementary breakfast. But spoke to desk & told about rafting, rope courses & a lot of outdoor activities. Very friendly. Will be back with the fam!

Parking lot is unclear due to the snow, but most cars just line up at the front. It shares the lot with a restaurant next door. Breakfast is served every morning, and they have a little bit of everything. They had oranges for fruit and little yogurt cups and milk for coffee. They had a little pressure cooker for sausage grits and biscuits. They also had a waffle maker with original and cinnamon mix. There's a good number of tables inside. The room itself is a standard size imo with a small built in tv. I don't know why but they had square pillows here. The bath products were the refillable kind that is attached to the wall, same with the lotion. There is also a coffee maker in the hallway across from the lobby if you want coffee outside of breakfast hours.

According to the front desk staff it has been closed for a couple of days. well if you look at other reviews you will see the pool has been closed for the majority if not all of the summer! That should be a top priority to fix and to advise guests prior to check in or even when their reservations are made! Also, an alternate pool in the area should be made available! Can you tell that my family and I are not happy! Our annual visit to Summersville is a tradition and so was staying in this hotel. Well this is it, no more staying at this rundown, outdated hotel. please either tear it down or fix it up AND get the pool FIXED!!

I was traveling with my elderly mom, and the front desk person (Tanaya?) was SO NICE checking us in efficiently and making sure mom was able to get to the room with all her things (mom gets mad when I help, lol), including a heavy oxygen machine that goes with her CPAP. Coffee in the morning was hot and fresh. Nice bed with good pillows. It's being renovated, so soon it will be all spanking modern too.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR ROOM!!!!…read more On July 23rd, I checked into room 211. At first, I was pleased with the service provided by Vickie, the front desk clerk, that was more than helpful throughout my and my family's stay. The rates for the room were fair and the room/check-in area was clean, as I was walking in, Vickie was vacuuming the check-in area. However, the trip took a sharp turn that violated my and my sister's rights to privacy, and the noise disturbance was unbearable throughout the stay. First, I will explain how the Super 8 staff violated the contract of my stay. While on July 24th, at approximately 11:00 a.m., my sister, who shared the room with me, heard a noise rattling on the electronic lock outside our door. As she grabbed to open the door, a man, who claimed to be a hotel staff manager, was trying to unlock our door just as she opened the door to explore the noise. He asked her, while I was still in bed from the night before, if he and 5 other men could work on our bathroom because of the remodeling that is going on within the Super 8, which we had no idea about before we checked into the room. My sister felt intimidated and chose to let the men into our bathroom when we were both in our room. The worse part is that the man would have entered the room either way, and our privacy was invaded upon. Also, while checking out on July 26th at 10:00 a.m., a man that worked for the hotel manager was on a hydraulic machine outside of our window peering into our room, smiling while he was putting blue tape on our window; I have a video of this incident that I can attach if needed. There are many other things that I could mention but aren't in direct violation of the contract: rude cleaning service, the mini fridge didn't work, the bathroom didn't lock, the safe was broken, the toilet had a leak, etc. But I chose to focus more on the violation of my contract for one main reason: I and my family did not feel safe at this Super 8. Next, the not-so-serious situation was the noise of construction, which I had no idea about before or during my stay, it was so bad that me and my sister, who has a 2-year-old daughter, could not get a wink of sleep. We heard a beeping noise that stayed consistent for hours, the noise was coming from the same hydraulic machine that the man who was taping our window was using. Also, there were noises of hammering, sawing, and yelling orders from as early as 7 a.m. without any kind of warning beforehand.
