Pros: The hotel is conveniently located off of Interstate 70. It is located near a good selection of restaurants & gas. The beds are comfortable. Check in staff were very friendly and informative. Cons: The noise, especially from I-70, is very prominent. This place has got a lot of potential, but it needs some tlc. Whoever repainted the wall honestly didn't even try. The wifi did not work. There were scuff marks and stains on multiple walls. As a current Hilton Honors member, having been to Hilton locations across the country, this is one of the more underwhelming locations I've stayed at.

Some yellow stain running down comforter underneath. This picture does not do it justice for what it looked like

We spent 4 nights at this location and sadly it was awful. The noise is ridiculous. From the other guests letting their children run like animals in the halls and cars using an empty parking lot as a raceway till after midnight. Never could get hot water from the vanity sink. A towel hook from bathroom is halfway hanging out of wall. The bedspreads had yellow stains underneath. Paid for premium WiFi and it was not premium. It was very slow. The carpets in the room and hallway were filthy. There were so many issues that we will not stay there again. Scuff marks on the walls

Like most Hampton Inns I have stayed at, this one is conveniently located close to an exit off of I-70 in Terre Haute, Indiana. For our road trip planning I usually try to limit our actual driving time to five to seven hours per day plus stops for food and gas. This one was in the right area for this part of our trip. There was the usual collection of restaurants and gas stations nearby as well. When we entered into the lobby to check in, we received a friendly greeting and welcome from the girl at the counter. We were quickly checked in and then were off to our room. This room had two double beds and the normal Hampton amenities including a desk, mini refrigerator, and night stand level power outlets and USB charging ports. It also has one of the smallest closets with the biggest sliding doors making for a tight opening. Breakfast was typical for Hampton Inns and I had my usual plate of eggs, sausages, and potatoes followed by one Belgian Waffle...all good. They also had fruits, cereals, and bakery items. Then coffee!! The TV had news coverage focused on the eclipse happening later today. We will be driving (and stopping) near Carbondale, IL, where one of the longest time of totality will occur...I hope no one else knows this; I hate crowds!

I am in love with this hotel. The bed was so comfortable, and each of the queen sized beds in the room had four pillows. They were fluffy and amazing. The room was very clean, and they had Neutrogena brand, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Their hot breakfast is great. They had eggs of some sort every morning, and there was there was a protein two out of the three days that I was there. They also have waffle makers, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, and pretty much anything else you would want. The coffee is good too. The staff there was very friendly and attentive. This place rescued me from a terrible hotel down the road, so I was even more grateful than I would have normally been. I Snapchatted my hotel room when I got there because I was so pleased. If I'm ever back in town, I will 100% stay at this hotel.

Home cooked style scrambled eggs, link sausage, and rosemary roasted baby potatoes.

Loved this place! All staff was low key but treated us like family. All front desk staff were nice. Eileen, the breakfast cook, stood out. She cooked a real breakfast instead of reheated eggs. Fresh scrambled eggs, sausage links, roasted rosemary scented baby potatoes, homemade oatmeal with cranberries on the side. Really good! Beds were very comfortable, rooms clean. Highly recommend.

Some leftover underwear from a prior guest in our room.

My room was nice and comfortable. It was also updated unlike some reviews mention. It's affordable and worth visiting.

Flies in room, bathroom door looked like a dog had scratched it up, slippery shower floor, very dark, closet mirror doors off the tracks.

We absolutely love the downtown, and we have 2 favorite places to stay- the Candlewood and the other big hotel across the street. Each has it's own charm, but I personally prefer the Candlewood. The rooms are expansive and come with a kitchenette. The location here is key- this is right on the corner of 7th and Wabash. Downtown TH has some super fun bars and restaurants and they're all a hop from this place. The hotel is quiet, clean, and like I already mentioned, the rooms are huge. Every time I am here I sleep like a baby- the beds are so comfortable and the hotel is quiet. I love their workout room here too- it's got everything I need to have an excellent workout while I'm on the road. It's super clean and has a nice range of equipment. Overall this is an excellent hotel. Even after our son graduates next year, I can see my wife and I coming to Terre Haute to enjoy a few of the restaurants in town, and we will definitely stay at the Candlewood Suites again.

Great work desk and chair if you're here on business. Beds were comfy and 4 pillows on each queen bed, nice supply of towels. Storage in the bathroom on the wall kept my makeup out of hubby's way. Cold A/C with a constant fan option . Large TV maybe 55". Easy parking and a BBQ pavilion too! Pet friendly and NO ODOR! Frozen meals, snacks and free coffee in the lobby. Unfortunately, the stay was a disaster. Our first room had a toilet that didn't work and was visibly dirty. The water wasn't coming out of the spout, and we were later informed the hotel was experiencing water issues. We were moved to a clean room, which seemed like an improvement--until we pulled back the sheets on one of the beds and found blood stains. Absolutely disgusting. With no other clean rooms available, we had to share the remaining bed, which felt far from ideal under the circumstances. Our stay was brief--just 4 hours--but during that time, we couldn't brush our teeth or shower due to the water issues. We didn't even dare to eat the breakfast, despite it being open. This experience was deeply disappointing and well below expectations for a SpringHill Suites property. I hope management addresses these serious issues.

I thought I could ignore and chalked it up to him just having a bad day. Once we got upstairs to get settled for the evening, turned the tv on to watch the NBA playoffs and 5 minutes into the show a message pops up saying the tv needed to reboot. I thought was odd but I allowed it to reboot but it turned off instead of restarting. SO I turned it back on. Was watching again and 5 minutes in I got the same message and the tv turned off again. I turned it back on and again maybe 10 minutes in the same thing occurred. I called downtstairs to let the guy know at the first desk and I said, hi I am in room so and so and ......he starts yelling saying I KNOW THE TV DOESN"T WORK IT IS PROPERTY WIDE AND WE HAVE TOLD IT AND THEY ARE AWARE. I say okay and hang up. This is maybe at 8:00. So we continued the evening watching a few minutes tv going off and me turning it back on. I called back down around 11:30 and asked if there are any updates, and I was yelled at again....I said, Hi this is room blah blah and I was calling to see if there was an update.......he says: I ALREADY TOLD YOU IT IS AWARE AND I DON"T KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED. So needless to say, the tv never worked properly. I would not stay here again. I did also contact Marriott corporate. They responded and said they were researching to have a response for me in the next 5 days.
