My room was nice and comfortable. It was also updated unlike some reviews mention. It's affordable and worth visiting.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Warning it was awful!!! No hot water, blood on the bed walls were peeling. Kiki at the front desk was the only good thing about the stay. Kevin the manager thought only a day refund would be sufficient for not having a shower for 3 days while at a soccer tournament. Most of the team stayed across the street at the. Drury Inn. It was fabulous. Do yourself a favor and go there! I wonder how Denise Story the owner was would feel about going and taking a cold shower for three days! Kevin is dodging my calls and there is no correspondence and there's been zero refund. I still haven't even gotten my incidental charge back yet. Seriously this is not the Hilton experience you are accustomed to or a Hampton Inn experience. Do not stay here! And Kiki, I hope you find a better place where people treat you better read more

The hotel is conveniently located by the interstate and plenty of shopping and restaurants are located nearby. The facility is very dated however and badly needs a refresh. The bed was saggy and barely comfortable. The room did not come with a channel guide or instructions for the television. The front desk readily provided both when asked. The room was clean however and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would look to another hotel next time I am in the area. read more

Pros: The hotel is conveniently located off of Interstate 70. It is located near a good selection of restaurants & gas. The beds are comfortable. Check in staff were very friendly and informative. Cons: The noise, especially from I-70, is very prominent. This place has got a lot of potential, but it needs some tlc. Whoever repainted the wall honestly didn't even try. The wifi did not work. There were scuff marks and stains on multiple walls. As a current Hilton Honors member, having been to Hilton locations across the country, this is one of the more underwhelming locations I've stayed at. read more

We spent 4 nights at this location and sadly it was awful. The noise is ridiculous. From the other guests letting their children run like animals in the halls and cars using an empty parking lot as a raceway till after midnight. Never could get hot water from the vanity sink. A towel hook from bathroom is halfway hanging out of wall. The bedspreads had yellow stains underneath. Paid for premium WiFi and it was not premium. It was very slow. There isn't much to choose from in Terra Haute, so I selected a chain, Hilton, where I had a membership. We arrived late after flight delays and all we wanted to do was sleep. Upon entering our room, the stench of smoke from the previous quest was overwhelming. It's a smoke free facility. They offered to move us but didn't have a room that would accommodate us and it was after midnight, so we stayed. We needed the pullout sofa. They offered to bring air fresher which we declined because perfume on top of smoke is worse. When we pulled out the sofa bed, there was used sheets, dirty, with holes in them. The staff apologized and brought clean sheets, and I had to change the bed myself! As a Hilton member we are to have perks like water in our room, which wasn't provided and I had to go back down to the desk to ask. We moved to another room the next day, only to find used towels in the bathroom. While it's one thing for a building to be old and outdated, filth is never acceptable. We won't ever stay here again. If we could give zero stars, I may have, but I gave it 1 because the staff was apologetic read more

Like most Hampton Inns I have stayed at, this one is conveniently located close to an exit off of I-70 in Terre Haute, Indiana. For our road trip planning I usually try to limit our actual driving time to five to seven hours per day plus stops for food and gas. This one was in the right area for this part of our trip. There was the usual collection of restaurants and gas stations nearby as well. When we entered into the lobby to check in, we received a friendly greeting and welcome from the girl at the counter. We were quickly checked in and then were off to our room. This room had two double beds and the normal Hampton amenities including a desk, mini refrigerator, and night stand level power outlets and USB charging ports. It also has one of the smallest closets with the biggest sliding doors making for a tight opening. Breakfast was typical for Hampton Inns and I had my usual plate of eggs, sausages, and potatoes followed by one Belgian Waffle...all good. They also had fruits, cereals, and bakery items. Then coffee!! The TV had news coverage focused on the eclipse happening later today. We will be driving (and stopping) near Carbondale, IL, where one of the longest time of totality will occur...I hope no one else knows this; I hate crowds! read more

We are moving across the country and this is the worst hotel of the trek. We thought we were being smart by avoiding Holiday Inn, but this is so much worse, especially for a Hilton. They put us in an accessible room, which wasn't even accessible, right next to the elevators. The wifi is terrible, the bed is hard as a rock, and the towels are stinky. Multiple outlets were missing switch plates, and there was so much ugly discoloration on the walls. The tub (why is there a tub in an accessible room) was in total disrepair. When we checked out, there was the grumpiest man power washing the front entrance? What a brain-dead time to decide to do that. Don't stop in Terre Haute and don't stay here. read more

I am in love with this hotel. The bed was so comfortable, and each of the queen sized beds in the room had four pillows. They were fluffy and amazing. The room was very clean, and they had Neutrogena brand, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Their hot breakfast is great. They had eggs of some sort every morning, and there was there was a protein two out of the three days that I was there. They also have waffle makers, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juices, and pretty much anything else you would want. The coffee is good too. The staff there was very friendly and attentive. This place rescued me from a terrible hotel down the road, so I was even more grateful than I would have normally been. I Snapchatted my hotel room when I got there because I was so pleased. If I'm ever back in town, I will 100% stay at this hotel. read more

Looks like they are tinkering with construction and this enables the hotel to be less attention to cleanliness and detail. From the way that it looks, the room that i was assigned was long overdue for new carpet, or deep cleaning. The shower head detached from the wall where you can see the plumbing and pipes on the other side of the sheetrock. The tub, and plumbing for switching the head from tub faucet to shower head was dysfunctional (spelled like this on purpose) it drove me crazy trying to get the water to come out of the tub nozzle- i was never successful. The carpet had oil food stains embedded in the fabric. This was clearly against the Hilton Honors brand but no one was concerned. Service response was good. Staff seemed mellow and friendly- but that doesn't aid towards germ free. Hopefully since this is the day after check in, the hotel is not sold out for today and a room switch can be authorized. The next day however there was a change in rooms that was 180 degrees in the opposite direction. The room was bright, well lit, plugs and lights worked. Carpet was clean and the shower fixture worked to allow bath water to flow from the water receptor. The cooling system was updated and kept the room at a comfortable temp without overkill- i guess the saying is true; " its not what happened its how you resolve the issue, right. Staff and management need to do a daily room assessment and fix issues before rooms are sold to paying customers read more

Beware! This is the absolute worst Hilton property I have ever stayed at. We checked Dan and I had three rooms booked all with king-size beds, all confirmed on the Hilton honors app with a confirmation number. The person at the desk would not except the fact that I had three rooms booked and said I had only booked one, and she was willing to book me in for one, but I had three people with me waiting for their rooms. The person at the desk would not believe me and insisted that I have three reservation numbers. The rooms, however we're all on one reservation number. She insisted that she could do nothing and suggested I call Hilton when I asked her to call Hilton to clarify the situation or call her manager she would do nothing more than say that it was all my issue, and she had basically nothing to do with it. I got on to customer service at Hilton. They confirmed that I had three rooms booked but again the desk clerk would do nothing. Hilton called her three times and she couldn't handle anything that she was asked and only could be rude to me at one point without me being at all rude only demanding that she help me. She actually asked me to leave the property. At the end the Hilton customer service help me with this Hampton Inn is terrible. It's run down it's a bad property and I would suggest staying away because the service is unbelievably bad. read more

All of my staff interactions were outstanding. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The room was very comfortable and clean but the shower or bath water would not turn on. Loved this place! All staff was low key but treated us like family. All front desk staff were nice. Eileen, the breakfast cook, stood out. She cooked a real breakfast instead of reheated eggs. Fresh scrambled eggs, sausage links, roasted rosemary scented baby potatoes, homemade oatmeal with cranberries on the side. Really good! Beds were very comfortable, rooms clean. TH doesn't offer much for Hilton Honor faithfuls, however, this isn't a terrible option AND compared to its Garden Inn family member downtown, much more affordable. The rooms are up to date and comfortable, and plenty of restaurants in the area from fast food to Golden Coral to your level pick of Steak joints, Mexican, Indian, and even an affordable Japanese Hibachi. I enjoyed the hibachi last night, frequented Mexican in the area, and for lunch, Indian is a great choice - I digress... The staff here at Hampton is always cordial and provides what I call the "signature" room call of comfort. read more

I'm going to skip to the last leg of a semi hellish drive - I've driven across this great country of ours 9 times now. This last time, on my 3rd day of 4, I found myself driving at night about 3+ hours longer than I had hoped because of an unexplained police escort myself and probably a few hundred others were linked on. I was beyond tired and all the other things that go along with such a drive. I was praying I would soon find something, anything .... almost anything to pull over and pass out in. I can't just do anything because I am allergic to smoke. I can't be anywhere near it so the entire hotel MUST have a strict smoke free policy! Especially in a sleeping situation. So, when I saw the glowing lights of the Hampton (7.22.15 1:43AM) on my first and closest exit a shimmer of hope and relief came over me like a calm breeze. I parked it, hobbled in and with red eyes barely audible I asked if there was a vacancy. The man on duty (who should get a raise/bonus), recognizing my beaten state lovingly said "Yes." With a warm smile he offered me a complimentary water and if there was anything else I needed. He sensitively and more importantly PATIENTLY answered all my questions as if he understood how tired and emotionally drained I was. I got a GREAT night sleep. I got a GREAT breakfast. I did a few laps in the pool. I took a hot bubble bath. I got my AAA discount. One thing is certain. An entire nightmarish drive can be washed away by a welcoming staff and a clean/comfy room. The first room we checked into had hair ALL over the comforters. Like black dog hair. So I pulled the comforters back since our son wanted to play on the bed and sure enough, there was a lot more hair on the sheets as well. The front desk wouldn't answer so my husband went down and they gave us keys to another room. The next room had clean sheets at least but there was someone's crusty old sock left in there (perhaps we had the same room as the person who found underwear, otherwise this hotel has quite the trend for leaving clothing around in every room!). As we were packing to leave, I also found a water bottle cap on the floor and a ton of dirt from food and shoes and everything next to the beds. The handle to the bathroom was also extremely disgusting and needs replacing. My biggest regret staying here is that I didn't snap any photos. read more

I stayed at this Hotel for four days last week. I can honestly say this is one of the more underwhelming Hamptons I've ever stayed at. Check In Experience is fine, people seem competent enough. Location isn't to bad either, tons of restaurants in the area. The room itself is where the disappointments begin. The flat screen TV only had about 15 channels. The three major networks, two ESPN's, some rerun channels and some news programming. The remote doesn't always work properly so it was hard to pin down a specific channel. The work desk space was small and cramped. WiFi was unreliable, kept dropping in and out. The room had that slight travel worn feel about it. The bathrooms were older and two out of four mornings there was no hot water. Breakfast was so bad I couldn't eat it. Soggy French toast, scrambled eggs floating in water, nasty ass turkey sausage, old bagel toppers. Only thing edible was toast and cereal. Overall, the hotel was OK. Beds were comfortable and the people were nice enough. But I expect more from Hampton. read more

As a current HH Gold and former Diamond member I was taken back at the condition of the property. We stayed one night and moved to the HGI for the next night's stay. It did cost about $20 more but was well worth it. The lack of simple maintenance items - no hot water in the bath sink, scratched up wall from the desk chair, missing drain plug for the bathtub just to name a few - is not typical with a Hampton Inn. Spend the extra 5 mins to drive downtown TH and the extra $20 to stay at the HGI. You won't regret it. read more

Good news folks! This hotel, minimally room 506, has been newly renovated and is quite comfortable. The carpet is a funky pattern and the rest of the decor is your standard Hampton inn. I thought the room felt quite large too. Some deets for yelpers: 1) the breakfast is -exactly- like every other Hampton breakfast 2) the gas station immediately adjacent to the hotel sells beer and wine, however in Indiana you can't sell it cold unless you're a liquor store 3) the exercise and business center is open 24 hours 4) I have no idea how the pool is because swimming on a business trip is kinda creepy 5) what percentage of Hampton inn guests actually use the lap desk? I try to hide that thing from housekeeping every night. They're quite good at finding it. 6) I sense the owner of this hotel is pretty conservative because they don't get Comedy Central and the only premium channel is HBO Family 7) I got a nice note from the staff upon check in because I'm rolling chocolate diamond 8) I call it chocolate diamond because Hampton offers guests at gold or diamond level a snack on check-in and I -always- take the Toblerone 9) only negative thing to say - this hotel is full of energy industry folks who are all diamond members, so if you're trying to get diamond parking, good luck. 10) only other negative thing to say is that I came back from my long day to find my room door not fully closed. This is an oversight by the housekeeping staff, but it's kind of scary. When I entered my room I did so like an FBI agent with my finger pointed like a gun. Thankfully I didn't have to use it. (Thankfully for the bad guy that-is) Summary: Stay here. It is a Hampton inn that conforms to the standards set by Isaac Hampton the 3rd in 2012 . . . Standards set in response to the obvious Marriott restructuring in 2011, which we all remember well. read more

I got matched with this Hampton by using Priceline, which I've never used before. Decided to take a chance and was pleased when I found out it was a Hampton that I was going to stay in because I've always had good stays at Hampton Inns. I was a little worried after checking reviews online but figured I'd try it out for myself. I must say that I've stayed in a lot of hotels and several of the Hampton brand and I found this hotel to be nice, much better than reviews I read. It also was 100% consistent with the other Hampton Inns I've stayed in. I was a little worried about getting a room with a king sized bed instead of 2 doubles since Priceline doesn't guarantee it. When we arrived to check in, we found out we were assigned a room with 2 doubles, but the front desk worker was really nice and gave us a king sized room. We got into our room and were pleased to find the typical bed with nice white linens, big flat screen tv, large bathroom, etc. I looked around very carefully for signs of dirtiness or disrepair and found none. Everything was in good shape in both of those areas. We used the indoor pool, which was a little too cool for us. We wished they had a jacuzzi. The shower was really nice with great pressure! We slept well and even though we were close to an elevator, heard no noise that evening. I did hear a lot of doors slamming in the morning but that's the only noise issue I had. The breakfast rocks at Hampton Inn! Waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, doughnuts, fruit, yogurt, cereal and more. The lady working in that area was wonderful, so nice and friendly! Made some people waffles and offered us doughnuts to take with us. I had a bagel and my husband had a doughnut (amongst other things) and everything was very soft and fresh. The location is great - lots of eateries and other stores in the area. Easy access to the highway. We'd stay here again. read more

Might have been that we were there on a holiday weekend, but it seemed there were some details not taken care of. 1) shampoos/conditioners not replenished after room/cleaning service 2) not enough pool towels 3) no extra blankets/towels available That all said, front desk service was nice. Not too bad. Beds were comfortable. I really enjoyed the 24/7 fitness room. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and I appreciated the complimentary bananas, apples, and oranges that were always in the lobby. They also have a pool, though I do wish the hours went later :P Staff was rather helpful and kind too. Problems: We stayed on the 5th floor and although there is plenty of signage for an ice machine, according to a maid, they had to be removed for some reason, so we had to go all the way down to the 1st floor in order to get ice :/ There were also rather bizarre scratches on the wall in our room. read more

Will not recommend this hotel. I have been booking room for a bowling tournament for about 20 years. This is the first time I had to do a block of rooms. To get a price they wanted me to have every one to call in. Never had to do that I talked to Beeann and she said I needed to give her a room list ok not a big deal. So I had the list and gave it to each bowler so they could check in. Ok then I get there late and the girl behind the counter was really rude she told me that there was someone in my room ok no big deal just give me another room told me she couldn't do that. And was raising her voice so I got loud and she told me I needed to keep it down. Rude people never again will I stay there read more

I suggest you look at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown TH instead of this hotel. This hotel is VERY LOUD. It is at the intersection of Interstate 70 and HWY 41 and is constant noise throughout the entire night. I use a white noise app on my phone and was still woken up many times throughout the night starting at 1:30am with big rigs compression brake, trucks backing up into loading docks...etc. Hotel management followed up with me suggesting I buy a noise machine on Amazon or bring ear plugs next time. They also stated they have ear plugs free of charge at the front desk. It is obvious that a hotel surrounded by freeways would be loud, I just haven't experienced one this loud ever. I frequent Hampton Inns throughout the country on business, this is by far one of the worst. If you have the choice, go somewhere else. read more

Newly renovated rooms, the staff seems to genuinely care about your stay, great blackout curtains, USB inputs in the room for charging phones, rooms have fridges and microwaves, showers get as hot as you want with good water pressure, general details and decor are lovely. One star off for the breakfast which leaves some to be desired (powdered eggs and muffins that were a little stale), but all in all the breakfast is a bit better than the typical interstate-side hotel. This hotel was fantastic! The staff treat everyone like they are VIP guests! We have the HiltonHonors app so we got to choose our room ahead of time and it was in a great location! The housekeeping staff were great! The room was clean and had everything we needed! The complimentary breakfast was very delicious!! And the staff who were taking care of it were very accommodating to all the guests. Being from Texas, I love my salsa in the morning! All I had to do was ask and the staff brought it out to me! Need extra towels? Just ask housekeeping and we got them ASAP! We have stayed her a few times before and we have had the same experience! It is truly a very nice Hampton Inn. On this trip, we were there for one week and we have no complaints whatsoever! We will definitely be staying here for next year's trip... :) read more

I usually enjoy Hampton Inns, however, this one was below par. Our room was worn down. There was a woman's fingernail on the sink counter in our bathroom when we arrived. The beds were small and sloppily made. The elevator was missing buttons, and we had to stick a pen into a screw to make the elevator work. The hotel is next to I-70, and it sounds like you are sleeping in the middle of the highway at night; it is that loud. The only reason why I didn't give it only one star is because the staff is so nice and friendly. They belong working at a 5-star hotel rather than here. read more

The man at the desk, Armani, was the friendliest hotel host I have ever run into in a chain hotel. I thought I was staying at his place which is very nice when you're on the road. I got this room on priceline for $60 plus 15 for tax etc. The only problem I had here is that there is no wi-fi. Hello 1998 called they want their internet connection back. read more
