DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR *LEAVES YOUNG GIRLS STRANDED, PROVIDES NO SOLUTION* I could write paragraphs amongst paragraphs, however, long story short, this bus company changed the time they were leaving, with the only notification being a single announcement which was drowned out by an obnoxiously loud movie playing across the bus. The bus drivers then failed to do a proper head count. FOUR young girls were then stranded with no means of getting home. Not one person was missed, but four. The bigger issue lied in the fact that the company was rude and disrespectful when confronted with the matter. They provided no solution in getting home when the situation was actually occurring. Then, upon speaking with the manager the following Monday, she stated it was not her fault personally we did not make it home. The customer service was horrendous. read more

We decided to try this bus service to the Hamptons for our first time going there. The website looked great. "Luxury Liner" it must be good. We caught the 9:00 am bus from 86th street and Lexington Ave. on Friday, July 1st, 2016. The bus driver was the worst. The bus was freezing and along the route, as he was picking up the passengers, they would ask if he could turn down the air because it was too cold. He refused, saying it would warm up once the bus was full. When the 3rd person asked to have the AC turned down, he went off on him and the rest of the bus. Yelling at us that he was not going to warm up the bus because once the bus was full and we started driving on the open road in the sun, the bus would warm up and he didn't want to hear anyone complain that it was too hot. He said "I've been driving buses for 30 years, I know what I'm doing" As these were new passengers, none of them had heard his previous rants. One passenger said that if it got too warm, why can't you make it cooler later? He flat out ignored her. When one of the new passengers boarded , he asked the driver, can I put my luggage underneath in the storage compartment? Instead of saying a simple "yes", the driver said, "you have no choice, it needs to go in the storage". Really? What's your problem? He may know how to drive a bus, but he knows nothing about customer service. I will NEVER use this service again, there are others to choose from, Hampton Ambassador, Hampton Jitney. I wish I videotaped him. The bus never warmed up. We were all freezing during the entire trip. Of course, since everyone was on their way to the beach, most people did not bring jackets or sweaters with them. I really felt badly for a few of the women there. Also, there was no movie as advertised on their website. Here's a tip for the driver: If you don't like dealing with people, you should probably find another career. Took HLL for the first time recently. Is it worth $9 more than the ordinary Hampton Jitney? Kinda, sorta. There's a little more leg room, which is good. The driver was very courteous and professional and I got to my destination safely and on time. The bathroom smelled. The snack selection was ordinary (Oreos, Cheeze-Its, etc). My cell phone data connection was better than the wifi. Overall: it's a bus! Can't say I saw any evidence of "Luxury." read more

For $149 for two we purchased through a deal-of-the day website a wine tour from Hampton Luxury Liner. Leaving from midtown Manhattan for a two hour bus ride to North Fork wine country in Long Island, we were provided with breakfast and a movie to endure the voyage. Endure may be too strong a word, the bus is pretty comfy as it is and the temperature was kept at a moderate degree. Bring a cardigan anyway (some times I sound like a senior citizen). Breakfast consisted of a lukewarm egg, cheese and bacon sandwich, crackers and cookies and a variety of drinks to choose from. This is a good option in comparison to the other organized tours I've been on that only provide bagel, and water, if you're lucky. Our friendly bus driver informed us we would be arriving back to NYC once the trip is over past 6pm instead of 4:30pm, the time expected. That was fine by me, more time to roam and drink. North Fork is pretty and green, dotted with farms, and vegetable stands by the side of the road; in addition to a bunch of inns and wineries. Our first stop where we spent an hour was Pindar winery. It's possible to weave through the verdant vineyards. Unlike the finger lakes and other parts of upstate NY wineries where the staff go out of their way to explain their wines, our sommeliers (if they can be called that) just went ahead and poured. This was pretty much the case in all the wineries, with the exception of one or two staff who on occasion were friendly and informative. Maybe this is due to how big our group was and time constraints, I don't know. I relied on my handout to make my wine selections. Unlike the other wineries where purchasing a bottle of wine will set you back about $25, Pindar has a selection of wines as low as $9.99. My friend didn't particularly like the wines in Pindar, citing their weird aftertaste but I did like Sweet Scarlett, a red proprietary wine. And Pindar was the only vineyard that gave us our tasting glass for free, a cool souvenir. If you have time to spare, a few yards by the side of the road is a veggie stand I wish I had visited. Our next destination took us to Duck Walk winery where after our tasting we purchased a bottle of Boysenberry Dessert Wine, a tart and bold wine we drank on their outside deck overlooking the vineyards. Our bus driver gave us an hour at this location too, and when our fellow drunkards didn't arrive on time and we were made to wait, he popped in a Steve Harvey comedy special. I don't know if it was the wine or what, but he didn't seem as annoying and I actually laughed. The final destination was Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard, which also houses a horse sanctuary. The only winery to offer not only snacks, but also a variety of meals to eat in their outside deck alongside a live band. This winery was pretty crowded and we were only provided a three selection wine tasting. The other wineries offered a five selection wine tasting. Our bus driver informed us a distillery was located next door for whiskey and vodka tastings. We skipped this and went further down to Cooperage Inn where an idyllic beer garden, an indoor bar and restaurant provided a pretty good meal. I wanted to skip my bus ride going back to NYC and stay in Long Island the night, so yes, if a deal is available to get out of the city and experience wine country with Hampton Luxury Liner, definitely go and drink up. read more

Horrible. The good: the bus was very nice and the driver was pleasant. The bad: today's 12pm departure to Atlantic City didn't show up until 12.30pm, parked on another street, because driver wasn't aware of street closures. All this even though passengers called the company half an hour ahead asking where we should wait, because 6th Ave was closed to traffic. Driver took looooong checking various lists for names of passengers (Groupon folks, AM New York deals, regular customers, walk-ons paying for tickets...) and communicating with the base to record the names of those who boarded. We were still in NYC at 1pm, heading to pick up passengers on 45th St! That's right, already 1 hour late, and about to pick up more passengers, which would take even more time. Since we would certainly be late for the show we had tickets for (as the bus would be 1-1.5h late), we just got off the bus and went back home. If you're not on a schedule and don't mind waiting for the bus to show up and then waiting more while reservations are being cross-checked etc..., this may be an okay option. But even if you don't have anything specific planned in AC, why put yourself through all this? Not knowing when / where the bus will arrive, whether the driver will speed across NJ to make up for lost time... And the crowd was pretty rowdy: large groups of loud kids. All that did not make for a comfortable travel environment. I did not have high expectations given the $5 tickets, but come on, over an hour late just leaving NYC? Why bother even having a schedule? Some "regulars" we spoke to on the bus said the company was routinely that late, for no apparent reason. And if you read the small print on your ticket, they say they will not issue refunds or credits for any delayed or even canceled departures. I would not use this company again. Lost our show tickets and had an altogether irritating experience. Next time I (try to) go to AC, I will take Greyhound. read more

Waited in line in the rain and cold for 45 minutes for our bus, organizers were rude, didn't apologize once, actually when we were told by one to "try and get on the bus a block away" that bus driver actually yelled at us, the last bus finally came, they'd loaded everyone else on all the other buses even though we were 20min early, so it ended up being my husband and I and a group of 4 alone on the last bus, which was filthy, my tray actually had gum and dirt on it, and we were freezing, asked the bus driver if he could turn up the heat, he rudely said "it's on max!" Again with absolutely no apology. There are plenty of other winery tours, save yourself the disrespect and aggravation on what's supposed to be a relaxing day and chose ANY others. Don't understand how the Luxury Liner is in business... it started as a roomier, nicer, more expensive version of the Jitney. Fine, sounds good, pay a premium for a more comfortable ride. But now there are way more seats than there used to be, and there is less room on the LL than there is on the Jitney (it is very tight), but the LL is still more expensive. This is not made up for by the fact that they show dated movies with bad sound. Unlimited water and snacks is nice if you have an aisle seat, but if you are at the window you will not be able to squeeze out of your seat to get anything. I think there may be a first class LL or something that actually has enough space for the amount of people on it, but really that was the main point of the LL to begin with... now, for a comfortable ride, you are expected to pay a premium for LL first class when you are already paying a premium over the Jitney for LL coach class. Plus you have to pay in advance for the LL so if you miss the bus you are out the $. Useless. The LL is just a punishment if you tried to book the Jitney too late and couldn't get on. And the Jitney sucks in its own right. As always, plan your trip around the LIRR... read more

If Yelp allowed zero stars that is exactly what this company would get! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE STAFF w/the exception of Samantha who went above and beyond in trying to help. I purchased a travelzoo voucher for the Hamptons wine tour and called the bus company to reserve my seats. Following up w/the company to make sure everything was in place I spoke w/ Michelle who advised that there was no reservation and or availability for my requested date. Michelle did not even ask my name to check for the reservation in which I had received an email from the company w/my reservation # and pick up location confirmation! I called back later in the day and spoke to Samantha who was very understanding to the situation and agreed that Michelle handled the situation inappropriately Samantha advised me to contact the Manager Celine and speak directly with her. I left a message for the manager briefly stating the matter and requested a call back. However the so called "manager" Celine did not even have the courtesy to return a call back to me after her obnoxious useless employee Michelle screwed up my reservation Instead she had "Hope" (who sounded just like Michelle in every aspect of being rude and very unprofessional) return a call to me. To make a long story short there was no resolution to this matter! I would not advise anyone to use this company! I usually check yelps reviews before patronizing any business but unfortunately for me this was one of the times I failed to do so and the headache that I received as the out come has surely taught me a lesson! This business has greatly deteriorated over the past year or so. There's not a time I've ridden it this year that I've thought..."ok, this is the last time". There isn't a time a seat hasn't malfunctioned, there isn't a time that the driver seems either clueless or rude, and on two of my last four trips they've asked me to change my reservation because there was a "glitch" in the system (or they wanted to consolidate two half filled buses is more like it). This past time was a doozy (sp?)....while the "luxury" liner ran 45 minutes late, the jitney and ambassador both zoomed by at their scheduled times. So....if it isn't the traffic, then what gives??? Once the bus was 45 minutes late, the driver made no effort to apologize and didn't even make a gesture to greet his aggravated passengers. What a joke. Oh, and he drove like a total jerk, so that was fun. The AMBASSADOR is really the only way to go...... read more

This is for the LI North fork Wine Tour: Disappointing. Pros: very nice bus, they feed you breakfast and have snacks and drinks for the ride Cons: 1) Way too much money for what you get. If you really want to go, there are deals on goldstar.com which cut the price in half (still too much) 2) Only 2 wineries with 6 tasting tickets total. 3) Wine at the first place is not good (my opinion). 4) Wine at the 2nd place is just OK. 5) You spend 3 hours at the 2nd place... why? There is nothing to do for three hours here. And then you're back on the bus home. And as other people have stated, the bus leaves much later than the designated time, which is quite frustrating. In my opinion, Hudson Valley wineries are much better. I've never taken it, but see that the Little Wine Bus tour company takes you up to that area. read more

I went on a full day Long Island North Fork wine tour, it was a disaster. The buses were actually modern and clean, but the operation of the event was horrible. Two buses arrived on time and didn't have room for us and left saying another bus would be right there. Our bus arrived after another 45 minutes of waiting in the parking lot. Calls to the company only provided more misinformation. The rest of the day was spent visiting overpriced, overcrowded tourist traps. Two of the stops had over a dozen buses leaving off passengers for wine tours. More places to spend money than to enjoy wine tasting. To save money and have a more enjoyable day tasting wine on the North Fork, drive yourself and bring along a designated driver. You can stop wherever you want for however long you want. A day of such promise turned out to be a day of aggravation and disappointment. read more

This is one of those days when you're so livid, your blood boils and the only thing you're left to do is create a Yelp account to write a scathing review and try to prevent others from experiencing the same... I would love to review the bus and excursion, however we never even got inside the bus, let alone on the wine tour WE BOOKED 3 MONTHS AGO. Purchased a Hampton Luxury liner wine tour on Groupon for our group of 10. Arrived early for departure and THEY CLAIMED TO NOT HAVE OUR RESERVATION. They did not have space on the bus for us (clearly THE COMPANY OVERBOOKED). This happened despite multiple group members calling to confirm our reservation in the days before. We also brought confirmation receipts in printed and email form, and the drivers ultimately determined the company "had our reservation but did not have it associated with a day". Right, because you can totally book a dinner, flight or hotel reservation without selecting a day. Our group called groupon (no customer service hotline active at 8am on Sunday - hope they got to sleep in) and the bus company and got pushed and shoved around with superfluous commentary. No mention of a refund or any concern for their reputation as a company. Now, while we know this wasn't the bus drivers fault, clearly the teams at Hampton luxury liner and groupon need to GET IT TOGETHER. This was COMPLETELY UNACCAPTABLE. I'd recommend doing anything else with your time and money - all this did was have us wake up early and prepay disappointment. read more

I bought a Gilt City voucher for a roundtrip ride to the Hamptons. Bus was on time, clean, and convenient. On our way out to the Hamptons, there were only 3 of us in a large, comfortable minibus. It had a large TV, reclining leather seats, water, and snacks. On the way back, we were in a larger charter bus, which was clean. We were sitting on that bus in traffic for several hours, so the complimentary water and chips were great. Would definitely travel with this company again! read more

This review is based on the HLL Wine Tour only. I will start with saying they should not call it a wine tour - it's Wineries' drop off, that's what it is. There is no tour. Wine tours in Sonoma, CA, consist of similar buses and guides, who tell you about the region while you're on the bus and then each winery you stop at gives you an actual tour, including one of the cellar, and then follows up with wine tasting. HLL offers none of that. And for the price - they should! Secondly, while the drivers are very nice, the office is really disorganized. On top of sending only 2 buses for 8:30AM departure while clearly there were enough people to fill at least 3, if not 4 buses, they messed up the lists and provided drivers with wrong information. A few people, including my husband and I, were not on their lists! Funny one of the drivers asked me if, perhaps, our departure was at 9:30 - when I had called to reserve seats I had not even been told about two departure times, so uhmm no, we were not on 9:30 list either, I was sure. So I basically told the driver that my confirmations should serve as a proof that I paid and I'd like to get on the bus. "Warm breakfast" consisted of semi-warm egg sandwiches. No coffee or tea on the bus. Which I would have appreciated after being outside for over an hour (we arrived at 8AM and departed not at 8:30 but around 9:15) on a cold October day. Lastly, the choice of wineries I think was poor. First we visited Martha Clara Vineyards and the wines you tasted were preselected for you - what an unwise choice on winery's part (or HLL's, may be)! I would have love to have tasted their award-winning Riesling, because the wines they chose were very "blah" (read: awful). We did choose to buy the Riesling and thoroughly enjoyed it at home, but I didn't see many people walking out with bottles from that place. The second winery was Baiting Hollow, and, again, I would have loved to tour their stables and learn more about horse rescuing! But no, they didn't offer that and the place was so busy (bridal showers, baby showers etc) that we could hardly find a place to sit. We got three tickets each and tasted six different wines, ending up buying four of those tasted (we had to stand in a long line though to get the taste glasses). I think HLL should really check how busy the winery is going to be before bringing buses full of people there because the place is small. Overall, granted I experienced wine tours before, this was a disappointing experience. I am glad I only paid half the price for the tickets, but I feel bad having paid even that. My advise - rent a car and explore the LI wine region on your own. read more

travelzoo voucher for 3 winery wine tour in long island for $85. driver was nice enough. i won't comment on the wineries since that's not really HLL's fault. the only reason i'm writing this review.. the AC on the bus was broken. we drove in hot humidity for an hour and a half each way.. not including the 15-20 min rides inbetween wineries. the busdriver apologized and stated he contacted the company but there wasn't much that could be done. read more

SO MUCH FUN! I'm sorry that other reviewers had bad or rude drivers (and you don't get to choose those, so I get it) but our driver was fun, safe, and very accommodating and helpful. My boyfriend and I purchased a voucher through Amazon local. All you have to do is show up at 47 and Lex at 8:30am and the rest of the day is taken care of. The breakfast on the bus isn't that fancy (bacon, egg and cheese on a roll) but there is plenty of juice, coffee, waters and snacks for the first leg of the trip. Our bus driver even threw in a DVD of Michael Jackson music videos for the ride to help get us pumped up! The first winery was Pindar. Very sweet and knowledgeable staff with excellent pours. You receive 5 free tastings of your choice and get to walk the grounds for an hour. I bought several bottles here and had a nice time walking around through the vines. The second (and sometimes this changes) was Duckwalk. I like this vineyard but one of the women doing the pours was incredibly pushy and just unpleasant. The wines were fine, as I have been here before, I knew what I liked and didn't like. I bought two bottles here, which were reasonably priced. Strolled around the grounds and we hopped back on the bus. Next we went to Baiting Hollow Farms, the most anticipated vineyard. Next door was LiV, a vodka distillery that also does tastings. Go here. Trust me. It will take 15-20 minutes of the time, but you won't be sorry. About a 3 minute walk farther down the road is Cooperage Inn, where they were doing a Fall Festival. Outdoors grill food, live band, lots of Fall beers and face painting for the kids. (Or me, since I am a kid at heart.) At Baiting Hollow, a live band was playing and regulars from the 'nabe were line dancing! I asked a girl that worked there if they do this often and she said every Sunday. It. was. a. RIOT! The people were so cute, the staff were incredibly nice and the pours were excellent. We got tickets for three tastings and got to spend three hours anywhere we liked. The horse tour through their stables was so worth taking 30 minutes away from the wine to experience. These are all rescue horses and the proceeds of three of their wines (which are tasty) go directly to taking care of the horses. The day was so much fun all around. Not snotty, not elite, just a really great day. I recommend that you go in October as all the farms have their pumpkins set up and there are roadside stands everywhere. The leaves are changing and the weather was perfect. Just a really great day. read more

Hmm... I'm torn. I bought a couple deals off of Gilt City for my boyfriend and I to have a wine tour through this company, and while the wine tour itself, really wasn't a TOUR, rather a stop at 2 nice wineries and a spirits place, the day wasn't exactly as planned... We were supposed to be picked up at 8:30 am, and yes ONE of the buses showed up at that time, however it was only for half the people waiting and the other half should be picked up soon. And then another Hampton Luxury Liner showed up, right behind the first and this one was for the Hamptons, and then another showed up behind that and well, that one was for Woodbury Commons... so basically there were about 40 people wandering from bus to bus down Lexington trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Finally our bus arrived and we were boarded, and yes breakfast and refreshments were served and they were decent, but we could have slept an additional half hour had we known we would be leaving at 9:10 rather than the 8:25 time we were told to be there by. The driver was very personable and I'm still not exactly sure why we were so late but oh well, we had until 6pm anyways so it was going to be a long day regardless, well at least that's what time the deal said it was until, again not the case. After visiting the 2 wineries and having our tastings and buying sub par lunch, we were told to be back at the bus by 3:30 to head home. Huh? The deal said we would be dropped back off on Lex approximately 6:30... is it going to take 3 hours to get home?! Umm, no. We were back home in the apartment by 5pm. All in all, glad I only paid $75 a ticket as opposed to the full price of &150 as it was DEFINITELY not worth that much. Yeah, the buses are "luxury" and yes, it's nice to do that with a DD, but totally not something I would recommend for a wine tour. read more

I got off in Bridgehampton adding 45 minutes and a $50 Uber ride to my trip. Bus driver was really mean and yelled at me. I purchased 2 vouchers from dealfind for the Hampton luxury Liner at the end of June, 2011 for round trip transportation to Atlantic City which included multiple additional perks. Used on August 17th & 18th. The charge of $40.00 per person seemed reasonable at the time - until I found others on the bus that purchased a Groupon for $7.00 per person! Aside from that I did not get what I was promised! Per the voucher I was to receive: -- $30.00 slot voucher -- $10.00 food voucher -- $5.00 deferred voucher for a future trip -- $ 25 show ticket to the Resorts Daily Show What I got: -- $10.00 food voucher (I bargained for that in return for a lesser slot voucher) --$5.00 slot voucher We stayed overnight & when we tried to use the slot vouchers the next day we were told that they expired at 11:59PM the day we arrived. The agent in Atlantic City stated that your printed voucher promises have not been correct for months. You did not come through with you promised DEAL. I think that the purchase price of at least one voucher should be returned to me -$40.00. I could take a bus form Port Authority & get a better DEAL. The Hamptons Luxury Liner was comfortable -- BUT -- When we boarded at 45th Street in NYC there was not a snack to be had, as the bus loaded an hour earlier in Queens. The meeting location is also not noted correctly. It should read 45th Street between 7th & 8th Aves. by Starbucks on the north side of the street & across from Junior's on the south side. I have to say that this is the first discount coupon that I have purchased that has turned out be not what was promised! read more

IDK I prefer the luxury liner to the jitney. You pay a little extra and don't have to be rubbing arms and legs with the person next to you - hey to me this is totally worth it, you never know who you're going to be sitting next to. Also, they have better snacks, not that this is a make or break deal, but I"m certainly for it. A lot of times, they offer coupons in the paper for cheaper rates, so you end up paying less. A bus is a bus is a bus, but I hate sitting close to my bus companions, so luxury liner is for me. Friendly staff take care of any problems :) read more

Like most other reviewers, I was very pleased with the accomodations on the bus. The seats were spacious and comfy. The snacks and beverages were great and the ability to use the wi-fi was helpful. The company itself is extremely unorganized. The bus was 20 minutes late to pick us up and apparently over-booked, which meant they had to call another driver in. The driver (safe and efficient on the road) was inexperienced with the procedures of the company, which made our boarding time longer. It took about four and a half hours for us to arrive at AC. I was very worried about going on the Hamptons Wine Tour ($145 for 2 people through Travelzoo) because of all the previous negative feedback for their regular Hamptons shuttle service. I'm happy to report that it was tremendously fun and problem free. I just went on Saturday and have already recommended it to my friends. Major thanks to Diana T. for her previous Yelp review. Definitely read her review for great tips. We loved the Beer Garden, next door to Baiting Hollow Vineyard (when you get out on the road in front of the vineyard, turn LEFT and walk for 5 minutes, past the distillery). Here's some more tips: 1) There was a horse rescue tour at Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard, that is included in the price of the HLL tour price. It started later than advertised but it was so worth the wait. We saw and touched!!! (just don't feed them) 27 horses!!! Some were "minis", and ponies, and racehorses. It was very educational and awesome, but a little sad. The horses were super friendly. 2) There are 3 pick-up points: at Midtown in Manhattan, at Plainview L.I., or at Ronkonkoma L.I. We took the tour at the 1st stop in Manhattan. Know that the directions say meet at 47th Street and Lexington, and so we were first waiting at the wrong location (in front of a hotel at the intersection). Instead the buses will pick you up on Lexington Ave (between 46th and 47th Street). Look for the near-by bus stop for the M101, M102, M103, etc. 3) We weren't placed in HLL buses. We were in a "Celebrity Cruises" bus. There were 2 buses and each one can fit 44 people so it was a rather large group. Once we got to the vineyards, be prepared that people, who imbibe, get louder and happier :o) This wasn't an issue for us, because it felt like a party, but for some it might be a problem. 4) You get only 1 per person bacon/egg/cheese sandwich in the morning. Also lots of snacks and water. Don't take more than 1, as you just stole someone's breakfast :o( 5) The first vineyard has the cheapest wine but the second vineyard has much better quality wine. The third one wasn't bad either, but is super crowded. If you want to buy wine (you don't have to) - wait and splurge. 6) We watched 2 movies on the TV screens. You might want to bring your own headphones. They provide you with free ones on the bus, but they are of poor quality. Have fun and enjoy your trip! read more

Not worth the tour bus, just take jitney and cabs. I have been on the tour twice and both times it was extremely unorganized. When you arrive at bus stop you see a crowd around the bus driver and have no idea which bus you are on. Many people were not placed on the same bus with friends- even if you called to organize beforehand. I called afterwards to make a suggestion to management of organizing by bus numbers and they weren't open to suggestion, the woman had an abrasive personality. The vineyards were fun, staff is friendly, but you only have an hour at first two, so it feels a bit rushed. Thumbs down to the bus company. read more

Just awful - totally unreliable. Today bus left very Hamptons stop 20 minutes early - leaving people with no options as Jitney was jammed.

Just finishing the tour as we write. The wineries were cool and a ton of fun! It's a great escape from the city. HOWEVER...the driver and the bus ride there was HORRIBLE. It's pretty simple, provide a clean and comfortable means of transportation, but no, they failed at both. 1) the driver was rude 2) the bus leaked water from the ceiling 3) the bus driver was again rude, critiquing a couple for abandoning said chairs with overhead leaks 4) Rihanna and Beyoncé blasting from cracked speakers all day from said driver's mixed tape, those exist? 5) Don't forget the driver was rude. If you want to ask a question, there was one "designated question time", don't think about asking any questions before that. Rent a car, jitney, uber- anything but this! read more

I was so excited for this tour. The details read great on paper but the reality was not quite up to par. The luxury liner arrived on time with a small van. Later a second large bus appeared. The drivers pulled people on and off the buses until everyone was accommodated. Off we were twenty minutes late after the game of musical buses. Having been one of the customers who was switched between all 3 buses, I can say that they were NOT all luxury cruisers. Part of the appeal of the experience was the transportation itself. Unfortunately I ended up on an old coach bus. The AC on the bus did not work for 45 minutes. Passengers called the company to complain. That is a detail that should have been checked ahead of time on a day where the temps reached 93°. The seats were upholstered, very itchy and very uncomfortable. There was no Wi-Fi service nor charging ports on this bus. These are pretty standard amenties on most bus lines. It was disappointing that this bus didn't have the same comfort or amenties as the first bus that arrived. My tip to the company, if you are going to have multiple buses, at the very least they should be of the same quality of service for ALL. Especially since everyone paid the same price for their tickets, yet received different service. Once the nightmare of the trip was over, we arrived at the vinyards and were very happy. We toured Ospreys, Duck Walk, and Baiting Hollow. We spent an hour at the first two vinyards and 2 hours at the 3rd. Each had a nice variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines at their tastings. 4 options were available. I found something to my liking at each vinyard and even brought a bottle home. The final stop offered music, food, and shopping. The time at the vineyards almost made up for the bad commute experience....but then there was the ride back home again. I would definitely return to the vinyards...that's why this review gets 3 stars, one for each of the great vinyards. I will NOT use Hampton "Luxury" (still laughing at the luxury statement) Liners when I do return however. read more

Fantastic experience. Group was fun and relaxed (especially after the first winery). I normally drive with my Wife and I'm horrified of getting a DUI so I normally limited my drinking while my wife has a ball. We generally prefer to rent a motel in the area but this is a fantastic alternative. Only negative is that you can't set the schedule obviously. I'll definitely be doing this two more times during the summer. Once again with my wife an once with a larger couples group. read more

Every experience I've had with the luxury liner has been late but this time I was shocked. I booked a bus from 70th and Lexington for about 215 and I was expected to get there at 525. I would not get arrive until around 730. I know there's traffic always but 2 hours extra? What's up with that. I also encounter some absurd behavior from the passengers, screeming on the phone and getting out of their seats to go to another seat to put their legs in the air and the driver did absolutely strange. Thankfully it was not a full bus so I was able to move so I could kinda enjoy my ride. I will definitely be taking the train next time I go out to the Hamptons. The only good thing about it is that I eventually got there! read more

Better than the train but not great. They sit there and tell people not to speak on their cellphones while people are sitting speaking on their cellphones, way too loud. My advice, buy a car! read more

I'm a regular Jitney guy but on occasion I've used Hampton Luxury Liner and it's been a terrific experience. Their coaches are newer, the seating far more spacious and comfortable. There is no host or hostess but there is an ample supply of ice cold water and several treats awaiting everyone in the rear of the coach. read more

Had done a deal for travel to Atlantic City from Sun to Mon but wasn't sure what to expect based on some of the reviews. Arrived a little early leaving enough time to grab Starbucks which the bus was conveniently parked outside of. Jumped back on bus and was happy to hear we were leaving exactly on time. Ride went extremely smooth along with roomy seats, movie and free water bottles and snacks. Would give the ride down 5 stars. Coming back was ok however you have to call the day of to find out what time the bus comes back to the city. And a bigger issue was that even though we had bought tickets weeks in advance & had a confirmation they told us that they usually overbook and that it doesn't guarantee you a seat so its first come first serve. Instantly thought "See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them." So had to arrive early and then wait outside to make sure we got 2 seats together. So would give ride back 3 stars. read more
