If you come to compare prices be sure to note that this meat is of a much higher grade that the conveyor belt meat from the grocery stores. The prices are not dirt cheap but you get what you pay for and that is quality. I don't know about you but I am fearful to buy meats that may be recalled tomorrow from the chain stores. I can't tell you how many times the meat from a grocery store goes bad quick even within 24 hours, sometimes the meat may look good in the store but when you get it home it is discolored on the bottom or throughout. I love knowing that the meat at Calhoun's is truly local and fresh! They will be a new staple in our community.

Although they were extremely busy they were still courteous and helpful in selecting different packages that we could do. After I field dressed the deer, I was able to bring it to them. They do whole deer only. Just field dress and take it to them. For the cheapest package it was about $140. That is with shoulder roasts, breakfast sausage, and ground meat with beef fat added. I will take my all of my deer here every year. They also had local bacon, beef, and pork options there for sale as well. Go out and support a local business. They appreciate it and so will you!

It's amazing: freshness, quality, and taste. We generally do about 2-3 big orders a month. Here's a general list: GRASS-FED BEEFS: -filet mignon -ribeye -sirloin -New York strip -tri-tip -beef rib slabs -ground beef All great!! Usually do about 4-6 of each, every time we order. GRAIN FED: -wagyu short ribs -wagyu tri tip Both very tasty! PORK: -3/4" pork chops in packs of two (we eat these once a week, so good!!) -2" pork chops on our hungrier days are great -spare ribs -baby back ribs We love and enjoy all their ribs.
