About 3 weeks went by and neither of us got any updates or refunds, so we checked the IRS website ourselves only to see that our taxes were NEVER EVEN FILED. At that point we called the office and explained what was going on. We were told over the phone that our taxes WERE filed and that someone would call us back. Another week and a half goes by and the IRS website still says nothing was filed. So we call AGAIN. This time the lady on the phone was extremely rude and dismissive from the start. She tells my cousin that her taxes are "on the board" and that "she'll call you to pick them up when they're done." My cousin had to stop her and say "Wait... what do you mean? I already picked them up weeks ago and already paid." The lady then suddenly changes her tone and asks for her name. After looking it up, she realizes that 5 weeks later my cousin's taxes were NEVER FILED AT ALL. Right there on the phone she starts filing them after insisting they were already done. Then I get on the phone because mine weren't filed either. Instead of handling it professionally, the lady says, "Jesus Christ, okay I'm filing it now," then quickly says sorry and hangs up the phone. So after paying for a service that was supposed to already be completed, BOTH of our taxes were never filed, we were lied to multiple times about them being filed, the customer service was rude and unprofessional, and our taxes ended up being filed late because of their mistake. On top of all of that, there was no refund, no discount, no compensation, and not even a real apology for the inconvenience and stress they caused. I brought my W-2 and other forms to his office and he said it would be done next week and i once again asked about the price and he said $200. I called him 6 days later and asked if I could pick up my taxes. He stated that he told me that it would be done by April 10th and I told him that he said it would be done by next week. He then stated that the was with a client and he was very busy and stressed out and he he wanted to hang up because "he didn't want to say something he would later regret and then hung up on me. He called me back one hour later and apoligized for what he said. He then tried to charge me $300 dollars andI quickly pointed out to him that we agreed on a fee of $200 and he quickly agreed. I found this man to be nasty, unprofessional, and a liar. SHAME on you Steve.
