The whole experience with Dr. Hamula has been nothing short of a family feeling! From the billing options, orthodontic treatment options, treatment and follow up care the experience has been beyond excellent. No one had "forced" me to sign a contract as another post indicates. Nancy was inviting and through in her explanations of my coverage. She offered the practice billing options leaving me in control of the payments. The staff runs on time and often early. They always have a smile on their face and greet you by your name. Dr. Hamula has been amazing, working around the few obstacles which I presented during my treatment providing encouragement throughout the process. I can not praise the whole group enough. There are many choices for orthodontic care competing for your dollar. In my opinion, this group works very hard to be worthy of your business. They are patient focused, family oriented and as professional as they come. My outcome has been fabulous and the improvement in my overall bite has made eating a joy once again. From the onset, the cosmetic concerns were always secondary to the mechanical concerns but since treatment, I also have an amazing smile to boot. Be careful with this office. I brought my daughter to see Dr. Hamula for braces because we go to Monument Vision Source which is right downstairs so, I thought I might have a good experience here too. After visiting this office on April 11, 2016, and deciding not to get braces through this office due to the behavior of the office manager, I have recently found that the sly snake has been drawing on my daughters' dental benefit. After we had an unpleasant exchange in her office where she forced me to sign her blank contract, which I did then later refused to do further business because of her behavior on that visit. She hand wrote a note card, apologizing for her behavior stating that she "would do anything possible to change your mind about us." I discussed the reasons I had for not continuing on with Nancy at Dr. Hamula's office on a phone call. I believed she was not a trust-worthy person after discussing payment and how she responded. I informed her that I was done with her office and she informed me that I would be liable for the contract breaking fee so, I told her to send me the bill. I had no idea she was going to go ahead and bill for braces. The only reason I found out this was happening was that all appointment payments were sent to my home in the form of a check, made out to me. The braces never got put on my daughter yet, she is still charging for visits that we have not come to, this office really needs your money so I say to you, watch out for Dr. Hamula's Orthodontics practice. I honestly had a feeling it would come to something shady with this office so, I am not surprised just shocked that they would pull out payments from my daughter's one-time $1500 Orthodontics benefit. Absolutely love Dr. Hamula and his crew. Both of our girls have been treated by Dr. Hamula. Because of the treatment we received and the friendliness of the staff, it didn't even bother me living on the east side of Colorado Springs, traveling up to Monument for the checks. I love their hours! It was great for the girls to ensure they didn't miss any school time due to braces. Nancy is always smiles. I know she is a busy gal keeping that office running, but it seems that she is just hanging around waiting just to ask about things going on in our lives. Don't know what's up with the negative reviews, but my story is the complete opposite and in line with most people who visit this office! I had dental surgery to get a rogue tooth from the roof of my mouth. Dr. Hamula and his staff were able to get me into braces less than a week later and my tooth pulled down and in line with the rest of my teeth. Dr. Hamula was always funny and attentive to my concerns and pains in my mouth. Some could be fixed and others just lasted a day or so. His staff was also fun and competent. The process was quick for the amount of work that needed to be done. I was even able to get in for emergency appointments with no hassle. When I had the braces taken off I was promptly fit for a retainer to keep all the hard work in place. Yes, it costs money but teeth are with you 24/7! The compliments I get now on my smile made it all worth it! read more

I love people who leave very negative reviews. They usually are incapable of understanding or don't take the time to understand the situation before expressing their righteous indignation and outrage for the masses to read. And, sadly, they are usually wrong. Nosey manager? Insurance issues. No and no. The folks at Hamula Orthodontics are the best. My daughter is finishing up 20 months of braces. Dr. David is professional, friendly, and very competent. He took the time to always explain what he was doing and the progress he was making. He was always relaxed and friendly with my daughter and put her at ease. Nancy and the staff are phenomenal. Nancy has been so very helpful in negotiating the minefield that is insurance today. She knows what she is talking about and has worked to get the best deal for us. Another plus: Dr. David and Nancy are local, so if you have an emergency on a weekend, they are right there to help. Orthodontists coming up from the Springs a couple times a week aren't going to be able to give you that service.
