Friendly staff, takeout only. Ordered the beef bulgogi, meet was a little past the well done side adding a little bit of a charcoal taste and chewy. Overall, food tasted good and came plenty of sides.

We had a great time at Han! We were surprised how good the meat taste and how easy the set up was! We will definitely be returning again soon! My soda was fizzy - the sauces for the meats were great! Even the Saki was amazing ! Loved it here - very clean atmosphere!

This hole in the wall is a hidden gem, but make sure you come with thick skin because they aren't the friendliest. But I'm here to indulge in amazing food and go home. The spicy pork bulgogi is on point, a good blend of sweetness and spicy. All the sides were good but when we asked for a second serving of the cucumber kimchi, the owner acted like I asked him for one of his kidneys. Sheesh, it's delicious don't be stingy. The steam buns are my absolute favorite!! I cannot find these in any other Korean spot in town and I've been to just about all of them. I typically call in an order and pick them up at least once a month. I will continue to come back here as long as I'm employed because it's not cheap. They will also serve your food on paper plates or whatever they have back there. So if you're expecting A1 customer service or a magical dining experience you won't find it here, but you will enjoy some good homemade Korean food.

I used to like this place, that day i was deceived no taste at all and my seafood pancakes was not cooked and I was looking for the shrimps in my pancake. Restaurant need renovation.

This is a really yummy local spot with fresh food. Mrs. Kim makes everything in the kitchen while her husband is the server. I was invited here for lunch by family and the hospitality was great. The lunch menu is pretty simple and the dinner menu has a large variety and the portions are big.

This is a small restaurant that serves Authentic food that a Korean grandma would make. The beef short ribs Galbi was absolutely delicious. The best in San Antonio for sure and perhaps some of the best I have had (and lots of it). The tofu soup was tasty too but quite spicy for me. The seafood pancakes w green onions was crispy and savory. The kimchi's were so so. Small mom and pop place that looks clean. I'm just not sure about using styrofoam plates to serve such incredible food seems so demeaning. I would definitely come back again to try other dishes but I hope the dinner plates next time would be at least not styrofoam.

Definitely hole in the wall and potentially shady-lookin location to big city folks like me, but not to be overlooked as an authentic Korean spot to try in SA. They've been around for 12 years as a little mom and pop restaurant, and their menu is quite impressive compared to all the other Korean restaurants in this area, albeit probably the highest prices you'll see around here. I got the fresh water eel to share - perfect portion for 2 people who are not too hungry. Comes with 3 types of banchan and bowls of rice. Was yummy and there was LPGA on the TV to watch while we ate.

The seating time took about 30 seconds and was spacious so my wheelchair wasn't hitting any other tables. The staff was nice, very hard working and the food was brought to us in less then 15 minutes. The first thing We recieved was the bulgogi (Korean beef short ribs) and it came with rice and all these amazing side dishes The flavor of the beef was super tender, delicious, and the best seasoned beef in all of San Antonio We also got the hangover beef stew soup and every single bit was filled with perfectly cooked vegetables with tender bits of beef and with the most flavorful broth, not too spicy but with a little kick. Delicious and it also came with a side of rice. I give the bulgogi a 9/10 And the hangover soup 10/10 Super delicious

There were 7 different banchan options, and some were great while others were just okay. The fish cake and kimchi cucumbers were good, but others like the kimchi and the bean sprouts could have used more flavor. As an entree, I ordered the spicy tofu soup, but I wish it was a little spicier! The soup also had a stronger seafood/fish taste compared to other tofu soups I've had, which I didn't expect. The service was just okay, not rude but also not excessively nice. I liked how cozy the inside felt with the dim lighting!

Fast forward a few years, now named Garlic Bulgogi (and closer to Bandera/Huebner), the restaurant brings the same energy and joy with delicious, well-served dishes! My husband and I love to come to Garlic Bulgogi on the weekends as one of our cozy spots. He always ordered the Beef Bulgogi and I jump between Spicy Beef Bulgogi, Beef Bulgogi Stew or in this case, Beef Japchae. The plates are always consistent in flavor and portion sizes. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and we love the owner! She is always attentive and ready to check on guests. Tonight's experience was perfect! Our dishes were served with banchan which included kimchi, cucumbers, potatoes, daikon, onions and more. The Beef Japchae was packed with veggies, tender beef, hot, and the sweet potato noodles brought the right about of texture to the dish. The Beef Bulgogi plate was an explosion of flavor in every bite. The beef was tender and always a great go-to. Each dish came with a side of white rice. We absolutely love Garlic Bulgogi and have the best time, food and experience when we visit! We can't wait come back to try a new dish.

Chas Market & Kitchen had been long on my list and since it was minutes away, seemed like the most logical choice. I have constantly heard people sing its praises. I will say I'm not versed in Korean fare. I had previously went to another Korean Restaurant and had a terrible experience. It is somewhere on the outskirts of the Eastside, alongside the highway. From the exterior it feels like a neighborhood convenient store. Once inside the room opens up with ample seating and tables. I noticed the tables that are specifically for their "All You Can Eat" menu but that's for another review. Along the walls are fridges with drinks and little knick knacks. It reminded me of a bodega. After we found a seat a server came and left menus. The menu is really extensive. I decided on their beef bulgogi, again a redo after the previous restaurant fiasco. A hip soundtrack is playing overhead, which I believe gives the place a modern vibe. Before I go on I must include that the server was excellent. I say this as he was very attentive but still able to work the rest of the room. Whenever I go to a new place sometimes I feel an anxiety. My fear is being disappointed and having wasted my time. But my impression is that it is an ultra laid back place. You can leave your Armani suit and Louboutin shoes at home. When the food came to the table it was served on a plate steaming similar to a fajita plancha. The server brought over accompanying small dishes that are meant to be added to the bulgogi. The small dishes contained: kimichi, spicy cucumbers, radish etc. Combining any or all with the dishes heightened the flavors. I think this was the most unique tasting thing I've had this year. In addition if you want a drink you have to choose one from their wall of fridges. I think this might dissuade some patrons but again, the overall experience is like that of a bodega. If you are looking for great Korean food with excellent service by all means go to Chas Market & Kitchen. So far this year this has been the restaurant with the most unique flavors. It is perfect for a date night, friends or with family. And I have to, have to absolutely do their "All You Can Eat" where you cook all items. I'm buying if someone else is doing the cooking.

Skip K-Pot and eat here. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!…read more For starters, the inside of the restaurant is cozy. Very clean, spacious, and you can hear your thoughts. The staff is attentive and our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat. The waitress was patient with us and explained how the all you can eat works. We were used to K-Pot where you just order and order, whereas here you have a limit to what and how much you can order. You are limited to so many items at a time, and we found ourselves actually enjoying that. We were not overwhelmed with too much food and no space. You don't have to get up from your table at all, everything is brought to you. All of the sides they bring you to go with the all you can eat are so thought out and flavorful. The noodles, the cucumbers and the squash, everything. And everything is prepared fresh. All of our sides and soup came out hot and steaming. Not like heat lamp hot, like fresh out of the pan hot. We got the ttekboki, fried dumplings, and vegetable tempura. They were all delicious! Now the quality of the meats here is MILES beyond the chain KBbQ places. All of the cuts were a decent thickness, and were portioned quite well. They were very flavorful. We ordered thinly sliced steak, spicy bulgogi, bbq chicken, and pork belly. All were delicious. We were a table of 3 adults and 2 kids and did not even get a refill on the meats. They also have a smoke vent to help with the grill. We really appreciated that. And we never had to change our grill, because things did not burn. Often at other places they are walking around having to change grills 4-5 times. Overall, this has become our favorite Korean Restaurant. We already have plans to return and bring friends and family. Give this place a try. The food speaks for itself, but the service and people are also awesome. 25 years in business, and it shows!
