My experiences at Hand and Stone have been hit or miss. The first time I went was amazing...loved my masseuse, Kristin. She no longer works there though so the last couple times I had some one else, I wouldn't recommend either. This last time though, just this past weekend, 3/15/14---had a great experience and would recommend the place to others. My masseuse was Rachel. She was fantastic. The environment was relaxing and the place was very clean. This was my last "membership" massage which is a bummer price-wise but for the membership renewal price, I believe $54, it was awesome. I live far away so they allowed me to share a banked massage with my sister for a small $10 fee. read more

I am only giving one star even though I have not actually been there. I tried to make an appointment on-line and did receive an email back. I then emailed them back a response and never heard back from them. I also tried again on-line to make another appointment and never heard back from them. So after being ignored twice by them, I made an appointment with the one in Marlton and heard back from that spa right away and they answered all my questions. Went today and it was an excellent experience. It's a shame, 'cause I live in Voorhees and it would be more convenient to go to their establishment but from now on I will drive the extra miles to go to the Marlton location! read more

NEVER GO HERE!!! My girlfriend and I made an appointment here today, July 7. We walked into the store and made a reservation for 4pm. It was 2pm at that time, and the young lady behind the counter said just come back in 2 hours and we will see you then. So we walked around, had a light lunch, then returned to find that theory had no record of our appointment. When I pointed out the the health forms we had filled out were still on the counter behind the desk they just looked unhappy. They blamed the girl who had taken our reservation, and said she had gone home, as if this absolved them of all blame. Unbelievably, they then said that if we wanted to wait another hour they could squeeze us in, right, so here is the lesson, this company does not take any personal responsibility for the mistakes if it's employees. Do yourself a favor, there are plenty of other choices out there for getting a massage, any one of them must be better than this. read more

I've had many massages in the last 15 years, but this place is not for the "serious" massage. I like deep tissue, but Hand and Stone's deep tissue it is only a small step up from a swedish massage. :( The receptionists have messed up my appointment times, and they are very confusing in how they "try" to explain the finances. Maybe it is because they are young, but excuse my expression, they seem stupid and fake at the same time. After going there for a year and trying out at least 4 massage therapists, and I am over it. read more

Beware this business. Tried to cancel my membership. Office manager is rude. Owner refuses to talk to me. Corporate "customer satisfaction" hasn't returned my calls. I haven't used their services since February and they won't stop hitting my credit card. Can you say FRAUD!!!! read more

I scheduled an appointment for 5 pm. Prior to my arrival I received two confirmations for my appointment. I showed up at 4:55 and filled out the appropriate paperwork since it was my first time going to Hand and Stone. The two women at the desk were overall not the friendliest when speaking to me. At 5:20 I finally stood up and asked when I will be called back since they clearly seemed to be running extremely late. One of the girls said she would go back and check since she thought she had came in late. The other girl said that my massage therapist actually had a problem with her Uber and will not be coming in, "I found out at 20 after that she will not be here, I apologize" she said. This did not make sense since at 20 after I brought up the concern. There was so much miscommunication among the staff which really upset me. I stood up and left disappointed and upset that I had to wait 25 minutes to leave with no massage. read more

I bought 2 deals through Living Social for 2 facials. I made the appt, when I arrived I was told I was down for a massage NOT a facial. Although I was expecting the facial, I certainly wasn't disappointed and agreed to the massage. I was quite satisfied with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the place (in Voorhees) and thought my massage therapist (Jeremy) was kind, caring and a gave a good massage. I myself have been a massage therapist for many years and can surely appreciate how the experience is handled, and I can say that I would definitely return for another one! Thanks Jeremy! MAde appointment for a sport massage but when I arrived they had no one who could do a sports massage and were surprized I did not want to switch to another massage. Receptionist kept giving me a form to fill out even though I kept telling her that I have been here before. Last time came here they waisted 10 min of my time on the forms. This was my second massage with Ashley and both times it was a great experience. She was attentive to my needs and answered my questions without any fanfare. I will go back again and again. This is my own fault because I had read on line that they cut your time short but decided to give it a try anyway since it is close to where I work. The therapist started at 6:10 and finished at 6:50. This place seems like a good deal when you read the prices but if you compare it to a spa where you receive an hour for your money it is not. On the plus side the message I received though not as comprehensive as elsewhere was good. read more

Total rip off. Had membership. Only one person gave decent massages. Decided to cancel membership, still had a couple sessions left and was told that they NEVER expire. Used one. Called back to schedule final one. Yes, it's been a year( their prices are the same!) , however now in irder for me to use my session that "never expires" I must pay an additional $50!! Great service all around. This venue has some of the best receptionists I have ever dealt with. They are always super sweet, accommodating, and knowledgable. When I have had issues with other hand and stone locations, the Voorhees location had helped me sort it out and offered to get involved with the other location on my behalf. It is also very clean and has great masseuse that are willing to tailor a massage to just what you need. read more

I was really disappointed with my service and time there. I've been coming to Yoy guys for six months now and had a membership with Hand and Stone because I like the place so much. But yesterday I was there for a service 7/25/18 and it was horrible. First, the service was rushed- she spent most of the time on my back when I told her lower body.. as soon as she got to my arms and legs everything was rushed. There was no pressure whatsoever. Second, I pay you guys a good amount of money to come and relax and you are constantly shortening my time. The massage is suppose to be 50 minutes so why is the massage therapist leaving the room giving me only a 35-40 minute massage I feel completely ripped off and robbed. She was lazy and I felt like I wasted my money and time THIRD, I checked off an enhancement to be added and she neglected to do it, and then the girl at the counter proceeded to try and charge me for the enhancement after not receiving it... this place is a joke. I am only giving one star because of their prices. The massage was great, the place was clean, and I felt relaxed after my massage. BUT...I think $85.00 for a massage it OUT OF CONTROL!!!! I would come ALOT more and refer more people if the prices were resonable. read more

I went there for a facial and a massage there yesterday, the facial was awesome but the massage is bad. I told the girl whose massaging me to focus more on my problem area which is my right should blades, and she did not also she didn't massage my feet! But still I sign up for membership and scheduled for a deep tissue massage, and I book an appointment for my eyebrows waxing for 5/15/16 at 4pm, at 2:45pm they call and ask me if I can come around 3:45pm I said yes but I'm suppose to be there at 4pm. The receptionist did not tell me the reason why they want me to come earlier, I just found out when I went there at 4pm that there's a facial schedule same as my time, their so unfair! I scheduled my appointment a day before and they give me that slot and even the mas·seuse did not massage my feet I gave her $15 tip for a $50 massage which is fair, and I guess because facial cost more than my waxing. I went to Hand & Stone Massage and Facial this past Saturday for a prenatal massage. I was looking forward to it so bad b/c I also have an 18 month old so I have a lot of stress & knots in my shoulders, etc from picking her up & so on. I should have known that it was not going to be a good massage from the start when I had to sign a waiver about being pregnant. When explaining my issues to the lady she explained that she could not put too much pressure on my body since I am pregnant. I understood, but still thought she could get my knots out in my shoulders. The massage was horrible. Honestly it was like she was just rubbing oil on my body. She put NO pressure on my body & did not even get close to getting the knots out of my shoulders. I was HIGHLY disappointed. I have had prenatal massages before (not at Hand & Stone) and they were awesome. So I know from experience that the massage could have been better. On top of it they charged me $95 for the massage b/c they consider it a specialty massage. Thank God I have gift cards b/c I would have probably refused payment. I think I will stick with independently owned salons/massage companies. You could tell this was a corporate thing. My opinion is that Hand & Stone should NOT even offer prenatal massages.
