A sham :( Went in for a quick adjustment. over the phone they mentioned that x rays where taken but that it could be discussed with the doctor. Come to find out the X-ray is not optional and cost an additional 200 dollars. I ended up paying 250 for one service. Then a few days later I get an additional charge of 70 dollars for a grand total of 320 dollars. Only after a month did I get a refund of the additional charge. According to my insurance representative the must I should've paid was 30 dollars. A total scam. The most I've ever paid is 50 dollars for a chiropractor. The only reason for a 2 star instead of 1 is for the chiropractic adjustment but for the price I would not recommend. read more

I just need to update my review since I've been a satisfied patient for years! Dr. Swaffer has been incredible in being able to diagnose, come up with treatment plans and maintenance plans. Dr. Swaffer also does a very thorough job of figuring out how to make every part of your body get back to tip top shape. They take their time and make sure even areas you didn't come in the office for are treated and their best. Dr. Swaffer and the team at Handcrafted are truly amazing! Not only is she incredibly skilled, but her bedside manner is also top-notch. I leave each session feeling pain-free and in better shape now in my early 30s than I was in my late 20s. I hate to admit it, but I once tried a $29 promo at another chiropractor since they had weekend hours and I had a busy work week and wow, what a difference. That appointment lasted maybe five minutes, felt rushed, and wasn't thorough at all. He just adjusted what I self diagnosed It made me appreciate Handcrafted even more. Their process is thoughtful, they actually listen, and they take the time to treat your whole body, not just the symptoms you self diagnosed. This hidden gem is tucked away on the second level near main street in the heart of Huntington Beach. Park in the plaza out front. Ascending up the stairs, I had no idea what to expect. Ah, room 207, as I opened up, I noticed the decor was modern with splashes of different shades of blue/white for a tranquilizing effect along with the theme of being in the city, that is, of Huntington Beach. Across the front desk table, a levitating stone caught my eye. This is a hip place, I thought! Dr. Adam warmly gave me a firm handshake, addressing my name as I walked in. Welcome, Alvin! Dr. Adam looks to be a young but strong chiropractor from my first impression. Walking into the back after filling out paperwork, I can see that he is a specialist in the Graston Technique, however, my insurance ASH only covers chiro adjustments so that is what I opted for with my copay. I could also see pictures of wilfelife fire gear as well as firefighting helmets -- he must be a smokejumper I thought! So cool! Anyways, Dr. Adam does a very thorough exam from head to toe, assessing muscle tone/weakness. After which, he applies manipulation. The thing I was looking out for was if he will sell his other services. To my content, he does bring it up, saying that I would benefit from other muscle technique but he also says, I will only do whatever you want me to do Alvin. Not being pushy. A plus in my book. It's always awkward when you have to turn down excess services due to financial constraints but I'm glad he understood that while gently reminding me that other services are available, should I choose. I really appreciate that. I asked him how long has he opened at this location and he said that this is his first time opening a private practice along with what I assume, is his spouse, since January of 2023, I think. Fairly new! At the end of the day, it is exactly what you expected for a chiropractic adjustment. Nothing more/nothing less. Dr. Adam is very professional, friendly, and kind. I was referred to Hand Crafted Chiropractic by a co-worker that said she loved the work they did. I began treatments with them in June of 2024, seeing Dr. Adam Greenberg for my issues (and seeing Dr. Jenna Swaffer in the office, but not as my main chiro). Both are very knowledgable, kind, and passionate experts. Dr. Greenberg took time to listen to the pains I have been having over several years, examined my Kaiser report for a bulging disc, and did a thorough exam to pinpoint areas to work on. 1. Upper back spine/rib cage pain - He treated this with chiropractic adjustments. I have had this pain for over 9 years reoccurring at night time. After a few adjustments the pain subsided greatly and has been almost completely gone besides flare ups of my own body's doing. EXTREMELY HAPPY about this change! Thank you Dr. Greenberg! 2. Bulging disc 9mm in L5/S1 - Treatment recommended for my disc has been spinal decompression. This has relieved many sciatica symptoms. They offer discount packages for bulk treatment sessions. Highly recommend. Price is fair if you are understanding and willing to see actual results and put money/invest into your health/well-being. After 10 treatments, I will up-date review with MRI to see if the bulge has retracted any. Overall, pleased with the results of no more sciatica pain! 3. Muscle pulling behind leg/knee - Currently working on this issue to find the source of the pain. Dr. Greenberg has been attentive and diligent about helping figure out the cause of this pain. That is the most appreciative characteristic one should look for in a doctor. The willingness and desire to further their knowledge and support you in figuring out a treatment. Lengthy review, but I believe it is helpful for those that are truly trying to find and support experts that are good at what they do, passionate, and overall kind business owners. I had ACLR surgery back in March '24. I am about 4.5-5mo into my recovery. I have had this sharp, posterolateral knee pain with flexion both post-injury (ACL rupture) and post-surgery. The pain has not been getting any better with time and it is stumping me, my ortho and my PT. I am a certified athletic trainer, so not being able to fix my problem by treating myself, or at least narrow in on a root cause has been defeating. So, I figured, why not expand my treatment umbrella and see if another medical professional with a fresh set of eyes can find anything different after evaluating me. After seeing a couple different DC's with no change in my pain with flexion/trying to gain range of motion issue, I found Hand Crafted Chiro about a month ago now via a google search in the HB area. I checked out the website and liked what I saw as far as treatment options go, insurance coverage, and the bio's on both Dr. Greenberg and his colleague Dr. Swaffer, so I figured, heck let's try it. Finally, some clinicians who have sport specific backgrounds and the credentials I am looking for. ACLR is a long recovery and can bring on a slew of issues and Dr. Greenberg isn't backing down from the pain/issue I brought him. He is wracking his brain and trying everything he has at his disposal in his clinic to try and help me. Something I so GREATLY appreciate and can't thank him enough for. He is putting in the work and spending the time to try and help me get better and I am so appreciative of him and his hands on treatment skills. I can't recommend this place enough. When I first came in, I had really bad neck pain. Sleeping was difficult and I couldn't turn my head too far right or left. I had been to other chiropractors, but didn't really ever get any relief. After one session with Dr. Greenberg I was a believer.
