We began seeing Dr. Aimee when our baby was almost 2 months old because she was favoring her right side of her head to sleep on and lay on in general. Found this location after a few other mamas recommended it to me, and after viewing their stellar reviews - I had to try it out! For background, I was 32 weeks pregnant when I found mommas chiro and had just found out my second baby was breeched. My first pregnancy was also a breeched baby, who Lord willing, has been healthy and well but resulted in a C-section delivery. This time around, I wanted to be more diligent on following through on a safe plan to encourage baby to turn head down for this pregnancy. I wanted to do everything I could to facilitate the baby turning without getting an ECV done in the hospital, nor did I want to experience a repeat a long bed ridden recovery post major abdominal surgery again, aka C-section, If I could help prevent it. I heard about Dr. Aimee and Momma's Chiro thru a friend. I was in my second trimester, about 22 weeks pregnant in February when I first came to see Dr. Aimee. I was having horrible lower back pain and was essentially getting stuck when I moved around. I was also having a lot of pubic bone pain and stress in my neck and shoulders. At our first meeting Dr. Aimee did a very thorough review of what I was feeling as well as what my goals were and then evaluated where I was physically. After my first adjustment I felt relief in my lower back. It obviously took more than one visit but my back and body in general felt better after each visit to the point that as my belly grew, I stopped feeling that constant pain in my sacram. Dr. Aimee gave me exercises to do at home that not only helped with the back pain but helped to strengthen my pelvis and prepare my body for giving birth. This was really helpful because if I felt any pain or discomfort in between visits I had a way of relieving it myself. The therapy, stretches, and attention she provides are unmatched!
