Thorough and caring, she is not in my area so she was able to recommend a trainer in my area.

Sandy, the owner, is the most responsible and dependable person I have ever met. She is not only…read morekind and understanding she is also always ready to accommodate at last minute notice! I absolutely love doing business with hound hearts! I have 4 pups, 3 which go to her daycare and 1, a pittbull that sandy comes by everyday to walk. Her daycare is clean and safe and my 3 pups love going there. They come home very tired and happy. If you are looking for a reliable dog walker that you can trust and that will love your pup just as much as you do, Sandy is the person for you. If you want a homey daycare environment where they will get personal attention then hound hearts is the place to go. I love love love this place and would recommend it to all my family and friends.

I'm a bit nervous telling SLC about Hound Hearts. I had found an amazing vet when I moved to Utah…read moreand told everyone I knew about that vet - and was never able to get an appointment again! Hound Hearts is a god send. My dog gives four paws up & a tail wag for all the love and attention she receives from Sandy and Morgan! I am the MOST picky pet owner when it comes to vets and those who interact with my dog - and I can go to work - even in the middle of the night on a trauma call - and know I'm leaving my dog in the best hands, so I have no worries. I work crazy hours at the hospital and Hound Hearts has THE BEST daycare hours - 24 hours / 7 days a week. My girl started daycare two weeks after I adopted her; a one year old high energy herding breed. Every time I picked her up, her tail was wagging and her tongue was hanging out - she even skipped dinner sometimes because she was so tired. She would wake me up before my alarm clock because she was ready to go to daycare! I like the personal touch Sandy and Morgan give vs those bigger businesses with more dogs. I can't even explain how much my dog loves Sandy's homemade doggie cookies that she sells at the farmers markets / dog events (I'm sure taste testing for the masses makes for a hard day at daycare for my dog!). They are healthy and tasty (I've tested them myself). Bring your dog to meet Sandy and Morgan - let your dog tell you how much fun Hound Hearts is!!

Merry Pets saved the day . . . they saved my dog!…read more While out of town, I was notified by a passerby to my video doorbell that my dog was out at large. I immediately texted Merry Pets, and got a call back a couple of minutes later. One of their canine professionals was not too far from my house, and went to assess the situation. He searched the nearby streets and located my dog and returned her to my house and ensured she was secure. Merry Pets ensured the safety and well being of my dog. This could have ended very differently, as I live nearby to two busy streets.

I used Merrypets for group hikes for my dogs. My dachshund would come home appearing happy, and I…read moreassumed he was having a great time. Looking back, I think he was just happy to be home. I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.
