    1. They are open year round. 2.The chocolate is creamy and delicious. They really shine in this arena. 3. It's really nice portions of DELICIOUS in a cup or cone. Handel's is amazing. They just know how to make good ice cream. I find that their chocolate flavors are out of this world. Their fruit flavors are fine, but not the star. If you find yourself passing by, even in a snowstorm, do yourself a solid and stop in for a scoop. Or two. Or three. I'm not judging.

There was a short white guy that was extremely rude, I asked him a few questions as I'm trying to decide what kind of ice cream I should get and he seemed annoyed as if he hated working there. Get a new job if it's that bad 6:30pm 4/28/2023

Sadly I have to report...this is the best ice cream ever! I was skeptical after many north east Ohioans kept insisting it was "the best" , but I have to say it lived up to the hype! There were a ton and tons of flavors and variety of items. Everything was extremely reasonable in price. Ice cream tasted so fresh. The malt I got (chocolate malt flavor with caramel sauce mixed in) was huge (only one size). I found the service to be friendly and efficient. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors!

The ice cream itself is 5 stars but the service at the Youngstown location ( The Original) has really gone down hill.

Always get the four scoop sampler, as it's so difficult to settle for only one flavor.

If I could give ZERO stars at this location I would. The only redeemable thing at this location was…read moretheir miniature golf course; NOT their ice cream. I've been to Bruster's before at different locations such as the East Liverpool one. That place was always busy from the moment they opened to their last minute customer. But when it comes to the Girard location. It was a ghost town with a tumbleweed passing you by type of situation. The ice cream selection was less than 10 flavors. And the ones that I decided on with my family was extremely disappointment. Within less than 10 minutes we tossed the ice cream into the trash can. I never in my life have I decided to do that. The taste of the ice cream was faint such as getting the cookies and cream milkshake. You could barely taste the flavor. My immediate thoughts were that a famous drive thru restaurant that deals with burgers and fries 95% of the time does a better job than a specialty ice cream shop. Go here for the mini putt-putt course NOT for their ice cream. Go to another Brusters location for better results. 11/10: Miniature Golf 0/10: Ice Cream

On this particular trip, I went with the S'mores and decadent it was. Chocolate ice cream with large chunks of chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallow filled the delicious homemade waffle cone of which made for a simply devine ice cream visit. The service provided by Emma was friendly and efficient. Walk up window service with several tables outside for those who want to sit and enjoy this deliciousness rather than take it home. They offer different flavors of the month with the month of June offering consisting of Key Lime Pie and Coconut Cream Pie which means another visit will soon be forthcoming. And I failed my fellow Yelpers and did not snap a picture of my ice cream cone. This shall not happen again.

I never like to give a bad rating to a restaurant but in this case, this was one of the worst meals…read moreI've had. The problem is, the place was packed and is clearly a very popular restaurant here. To start, the service was great! Everyone was super friendly and fairly attentive. Moving on to food. We shared two appetizers, peppers in oil and fried Zucchini flowers. The peppers were ok but had just a low quality olive oil that made them seem greasy. I've had fried zucchini flowers many times growing up in an Italian household but these were the worst I've ever had. They were overstuffed, over battered, and again, greasy! Not sure why they offer this dish when you can't taste the flowers at all as they are overpowered by everything else. Next, I had Chicken Marsala. I've had chicken Marsala all over the world, have cooked it many times, and I absolutely love the dish. This version was unlike any other version I've ever had with the addition of a ton of peppers. The chicken was cooked properly but the sauce was gloppy, didn't taste like Marsala, and seemed like it was cooked by someone who doesn't understand that the best Italian dishes should be simple and not "overhanded". The chicken parmigiana was the best meal out of everything they made but unfortunately the spaghetti it came with had waaaaay too much sauce and the parmigiana cheese (which we had to ask for) seemed like the low quality stuff you can buy in a jar at the supermarket. I guess the overall impression was poor quality Italian food made with average quality ingredients. If you like Olive Garden, then you'll probably be happy here as it felt like this restaurant from the food to the decor is stuck in the early 80s. One other note - the prices were very reasonable but as many Italian places in the US are, they don't understand that the main principle of Italian food is high quality ingredients combined with simplicity.

Ordered there "famous" Station Square Charred Ribeye and Prime Rib Au Jus and neither of them had any flavor at all. My husband said it tasted like steak from Ponderosa back in the day and he was absolutely right. We also ordered the lamb lollipops that were dry, had absolutely no flavor. The little bit of juice from the lamb had soaked into the instant mashed potatoes, that are underneath?? it's an appetizer?!? They tasted like paste!!! The most flavorful thing we got was the Ajou sauce which I ordered an extra side of it/paid for the up charge and they were extremely rude about it. It was extremely overpriced and nothing was good! We won't be returning. As a young child, I used to eat there a lot with my family, but I see things have changed tremendously.

Today we decided to try jalapeños restaurant. We were a party of 5. I ordered a Combination plate…read morewith choice of enchilada and taco served with rice and beans. For my drink I ordered an agua de Jamaica. Ambience: 5 stars. It's a pretty nice place with lots of decoration which makes it a very good setting. Service: 5 stars. The staff was amazing very kind and welcoming. Food: 3 stars. My enchilada had carne desebrada the meat itself was really good. The sauce that the enchilada comes in was not too much of my liking. Rice and beans were cold. As well as my taco de pastor. Overall the experience was not great. When we came in the restaurant was extremely packed. Which is a good thing business is good that must mean the food's good. They took our order in a decent time which was great. Two tables came after us and were served their food before us. Our wait time for food was over 40mins which was very insane. Luckily they serve chips and salsa which we had 2 rounds of because the wait was so long and we basically got full of that before we could even receive our food. I've worked at a restaurant before so I understand sometimes it gets extremely busy and staff can get a bit overwhelmed but I don't think that's an excuse for us to get our food so late especially seeing two tables that came after us get served first. Anyway, the taco meat (pastor) had a burnt flavor to it and was dry. They also mest up my friends order and had to be fixed twice. I ordered my food with no onion and onion was on there. I don't consider myself a picky eater but one thing I absolutely cannot do is onion. The birria taco was really good the meat at least. The tortilla was a bit burnt so that threw the flavor off as well. They mest up some of our orders with another table. No biggie it can get fixed. The overall experience was a bit disappointing after hearing good things about this place. I do have to give it to the staff though props to you guys. The table they mest up our food with was a white lady who turned Karen mode and was being very loud when she saw that her food was mest up yet at the end still agreed to eat it. That was very rude of her. I felt so bad for the lady helping them out but she handled that very well so cudos to her. There is room for improvement such as wait times and handing out orders accordingly. I wish I can say I'd give you guys another try because I'm sure it was just a bad experience on our end however I am only in ohio for a week and live all the way on the other side of the U.S. I hope you guys can take this review as room for improvement and not me trying to be mean so that you can continue to give great service and improve future customers experience.
