I got a nice private tour (just me and my tour guide Jen) and it was fantastic. I did the Arts District tour which was chock full of great info! I learned so much and Jen is very knowledgeable! I felt so inspired to do more art now because of it! I even got a little off the beaten path tour that was very cool. She is very considerate of safety while riding, briefing me where we are going before we leave and makes sure that we are on the safe side of the road and out of traffic. I also felt very safe with a sanitized bike and contact-less waiver (QR code waiver) as well as hand sanitizer available at all times. She had also provided me with water when I ran out of my own. As a Florida native and only living in Los Angeles for three years I still don't know much about this city. I was very interested in taking this tour to learn and hoped to see if I could find some unique spots and boy did I ever!!! This tour was so much fun!!!! Better then I could have ever expected. What a great tour! Just as we started our tour, we came upon a film crew shooting a scene just outside of the Handlebar Bike Tour location. It was an exciting start to a great tour of Los Angeles. I learned so much about LA and my out of town guests were thrilled with seeing the sites and learning about the history behind all the iconic landmarks they'd only seen on TV. The location was great because we had a wide array of food & drink choices in Grand Central Market when we were done with our tour. Jennifer's tour is a truly unique and memorable experience. She had so much knowledge and so many interesting stories and things to say about the area, it was a very special event! I felt completely safe and able to enjoy the bike travel even though I've not been on a bike down there before. Tour guide was very in depth with history and information. Lucky enough to get the full immersion since being the only one on the bike tour this round, I grown to appreciate the city way more. There were some things that I learned that I never knew, and me being into history Los Angeles has a lot of nuggets to unpack. This is the BEST TOUR IN DTLA! Wes are locals and decided to take this tour on a Saturday afternoon and we were sooo pleased we did! We visited many places that didn't even know existed here. It honestly made me an even prouder resident of Los Angeles. But, taking this delightful guided tour added so much to my knowledge of the city--besides the fact that I saw many spots I hadn't before. All I can say is WOW. My husband, MIL, and I took the tour of the Arts District, and it exceeded all of our expectations. Jennifer not only knows a lot about the street art throughout the arts district, she knows a lot of the crews and artists creating the art, and she is well-versed in DTLA history and the politics of this constantly changing district. The street art is, of course, aleays changing, and Jennifer frequently knew when the latest pieces had gone up, which artists were up-and-coming, and which artists had patronage. My butt is still sore! I don't bike much so I was slightly nervous about biking through a busy city. Our tour guide Jennifer made it super easy. She'd give us a heads up about the upcoming route at each stop, she'd let us know if there was a bike lane or obstacles or hills (only one small one). All the info about the theater district, Union Station, Olvera Street, and everything else was great. I already had a pretty good knowledge base about downtown L.A. but I still learned a lot. I've lived in LA for over 10 years, and know a little about the architecture, bars, restaurants, and cool haunts--but seeing Olvera Street, Disney Hall, and Grand Park while I was perched on a sweet step-through bike--pure bliss! We took this tour today. Four of us. One of our group was not a regular biker, but she did great. The bikes were all pretty comfortable and easy to ride. It was cool to see the city from this vantage point. I think you see a lot more detail than when you are just driving by. Our guide seemed to know a lot of ins and outs about getting around the city. With all the bike friendly improvements these days I never felt awkward or in conflict with traffic. It was fun doing this kind of thing on bikes and finding out unusual details. The tour is based out of the Grand Central market, so we had a great time sampling a lot of the goods that they offer there too when we were done. My gf and I came out to try out the bike tour of DOWNTOWN LA. Before the tour, I had second thoughts about it, but I wanted to check out the scenery downtown. From the time we arrived at grand central market to meet out your guide, Jen, she was a ton of fun. She made our time biking worth while. She was very informative, fun, and knowledgeable of the history of downtown and it's culture. I felt safe while ridding along as a group as Jen was very cautious while we rode out on the streets. This tour was awesome. I took it on a random Thursday off with my mom, we learned so much about downtown LA and the riding was easy. I didn't know all this stuff was close enough to bike. The guide was great with directions and made us feel safe, cuz we were nervous about riding downtown, but ended loving it.
