Great customer service, ambience and selection of pashminas, earrings and other goods

I decided to treat myself for my birthday a visit to Pike Place Market. It was a Friday morning a week after New Year's Eve. It was nice as the crowds were nonexistent (nice during the pandemic). I discovered this store on the 2nd floor and adored this place. It's small in size and has little or big treasures in every corner. It's not over crowded like many of the little stores in PPM. It as a nice boho feel with African, Indian and other culture art, trinkets, jewelry + more. I found a beautiful crystal snowflake ornament (I wish I purchased more than one). The price was incredible and I look forward to looking at it next Holiday season. Nice staff, beautiful items - I highly recommend this store! read more

This store is not large in square footage, but walking in is like taking a mini trip around the world! Cynthia is very kind and can tell you interesting things about where she sources her folk art treasures from. There's a wonderful selection of decorative items (wall hangings, sculptures, lamps, soft goods), some clothing such as lovely embroidered shawls, and pretty jewelry. Prices are reasonable for being fair trade, and go from a few dollars on up. This store is definitely going to be a regular Pike Place stop for us! read more

Whenever I visit Seattle, which is rarely, I do make an effort to visit Pike Place Market and in particular, Hands of the World boutique. I love it for several reasons. I love that it is a business that should be proud of its business ethics. And by that I mean that it supports artisans directly in developing countries as much as possible. H&M doesn't do that. Target and most other retailers don't do that. These folks do, and the items they sell are one-of-a-kind that you won't find at chain retailers anyway. That makes them special. I am especially fond of their semi-precious jewelry selection. Really, they have some gorgeous pieces and despite the location of the boutique, the prices are very reasonable. They have scarves, purses, tchotchkes for the home but for me, their jewelry has stolen my heart. The gals that work there are sweet as can be. I was dead on my feet and was in dire need of a cocktail. They had the perfect suggestion for that too. They recommended I try The Athenian Seafood Restaurant and Bar. Delicious treasures from around the world, staff that are super welcoming and friendly, offering to take things out of the case, allow you to try on jewelry, explain the intricacies of the items you're coveting, this is a little treasure chest of a shop. I've been shopping here for more years than I can count, okay, I can count but I'm trying not to date myself here... it's always got something perfect for a gift for a mother in law, a friend or someone who's hard to shop for but a little on the new-age-ish side. Buddhas, imported silks, gorgeous ornaments, jewelry galore, cards, some clothing items and a few kids favorites. If you're in the market, this is a respite from the shops with much lower quality items nearby, so I recommend you stop in and feel the love. read more

Prices are reasonable and their always seems to be plenty of people around working and they are more then happy to help you. They carry mostly East Indian inspired trinkets, gifts and treasures, however, what inspired me to walk into the shop was the really cool star shaped lanterns. The price were decent. I love their masks on the wall. read more
