Use them at your own risk!! Took my IPad there on October 17, 2019 for a simple screen replacement. Almost 3 months later I get back a piece of junk on Jan 5, 2020. The tech needed to replace the entire LCD screen twice. First he got the wrong screen and tried to give it back to me with the home button not working. He gets the first LCD screen and damages the connection and now needs to get another LCD screen. Now nearly three months in I pick it up. My LCD screen is not secure in the shell. I can't get in it because he didn't get the unlock code with it. The worst part all my data is gone because of his inept ability to do a very simple job. The inept tech is MIKE. This is a great shop! Reasonable price, no up selling, quick fast service. Had a problem with my HP, they Kyle discovered my motherboard was bad. No Charge. I went home and purchased another laptop off of Ebay and returned back to Hands on Computer Repair so they could transfer all of my files from my old hard drive to my new laptop for only $50. Caution! DO NOT TAKE YOUR COMPUTERS TO THIS STORE!!!!!! Customer service was terrible and the basic repairs that were needed were never completed. My employer took a customer-owned laptop in for repair of a broken screen. The 2014 Acer touchscreen model laptop was dropped off on January 11th, 2016. On February 16th, 2016. we finally had to say enough was enough and just buy our customer a new computer. Details of our service are below: 1. We dropped off the laptop on January 11, 2016. 2. AT NO POINT DID THIS COMPANY CONTACT US FOLLOWING OUR REPEATED INQUIRIES UNTIL 2/11/16 (EXACTLY 1 MONTH AFTER WE DROPPED IT OFF) 3. We called them repeatedly to inquire about the status and Coner, Justin and Carol told our staff members the initial part would be in by January 14th or 15th. 4. We never heard from them and called again to inquire on Tuesday January 19th. We were informed that they had received the wrong screen and had to re order it. When asked when they expected to receive the new one, we were told by the end of the week. We requested a call back, but never received one. 5. We called again to inquire on January 22nd and 25th.. Both times the person we spoke to told us they would have to check with the person who installed the screen and call us back. They never did. 6. We called on Monday February 1st and expressed our dissatisfaction. We were told the company had ordered the new screen and as soon as it was received they would give us a call. They never did (again). 7. We called again on February 4th and Carol said they received the screen and were installing it. As soon as they were done, she said they said they would call us. Again, they never did. 8. We received a voicemail on Monday the 8th (the first time we had ever heard from the company) and were again told they received the wrong screen and would let us know when they received the right one. 9. On 2/11/16 Conor finally called and said he expected the new screen in the next day. 10. I called Conor back and he Initially told me the new screen would be received either the same day or the next. During our lengthy conversation however, he received a tracking notice that the new screen would be received 3 days later (Monday 2/15/16). Conor further explained that it would only take one business day to complete the installation and optimization as long as there were no unforeseeable issues. Unforeseeable issues were defined as 1. simply receiving the wrong screen, or 2. receiving a damaged screen. Otherwise he said there was nothing unforeseeable that should be a problem. The cables on the laptop had already been tested and were fine. He did not anticipate any issues. 10. On Monday, as expected, Conor called and told me the screen had arrived and the repair should be completed by end of business on the same day However...... 11. On Tuesday 2/16 we arrived early in the am to pick it up, only to be told that the old screen had fused to the digitizer. The closest digitizer that could be found was in Hong Kong. Conor agreed this issue should have already been found by his techs. We gave up on this company and picked it up, unrepaired. In doing so, we had to make 2 trips because it was returned without the power chords the first time. There was never a moment when Conor expressed concern for the customer or a willingness to go above and beyond to help resolve the problem There was also never a time when a discount on services was offered or apologies made (the repairs should have been free at this point). I recently took a laptop to Hands On for repair. They offered several options and was willing to work with me to meet my needs. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and was patient with all of my questions. I also felt their prices were very reasonable. The whole experience was much more personal than at the large retail stores. I will definitely take repairs to them again. read more

My laptop ceased working. Could not boot up. Those guys did a clean rebuild in less than a week for $99. Could not ask for more,
