I arrived at 12:15 and was checked in. I never got to my room till 12:45 then waited for another 10 min till my actual message started. My time of finish should have been 3:00. They said I was done at 2:45. My shower and body scrub was maybe 15 minutes total and felt rushed. With my late start and the amount times they left room and I waited, My done time should have been closer to 3:30. This is not the first time this has happened to me and I have read its something that seems to happen a lot. Also, when your done they expect a tip. A lady that finished up while I was waiting got the massage as a gift and they insissted on a tip from her. Tips are not required and this was one issue I had in my first visit. 2/28/26 - Been going for a few times now and this last time I was not happy with the service. First, I chose Therapist #2 from their drop down menu seeing they don't list the names which they really need too, but now I know who they are. I had already tried them all but #2 so I chose her. However, when I got there I got #1, the one I usually have, who really is a nice lady and I like her, but I was set on trying someone new. So that was the first disappointment. The next was during my entire massage 2 things kept happening which prevented me from really relaxing and getting into the massage. One, the therapist's phone just kept buzzing in her pants like every 5 minutes and it was pretty noticeable. Second, it seemed that my therapist was also the desk clerk, so every time someone came in, she had to go out front so again it was kind of hard to relax when she was stopping to tend to someone else. My opinion, If she needed to take care of the front, then she should not have been doing any massages. So another issue I had was, I always do a 2 hour massage. This time, seeing I got a discount for being a member, I decided to try a table shower that is supposed to be 15 minutes long. So, my entire time there should have been 2 hours and 15 minutes. I got less than 2 hours if you count the time that she was stopping to tend to the front office. So as far as I am concerned, I did not get my money's worth. This is strike number 2, not sure I am going back. I noticed another massage parlor down the street from here I may try now. It's too bad seeing I liked this location and the ladies and girls are really nice and they do, do a good job. And I am changing my review from a 3 star to a 5 star. This last visit has very much improved since my first visit. Anna was amazing. She listened to my concerns and request and fulfilled them completely. I can not wait till my next visit with her. 5/25 So I just recently had a massage at the Irmo location. I was going to give a 4 or 5 star rating during my massage, but they had some technical issues with the speaker in the room kept loosing connection with blue tooth and kept trying to fix that, taking time from my massage. I finally had to say I was good with no music. The therapist was really good with the massage and I had planned on still giving at least a 4 star rating until It was time to give a tip. First, I had 2 hour Swedish massage which was $140 with tax, so 20% of that is about $30. On their website it states "Tips can be paid via Cash, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, or Credit Card. If the service you received meets your expectations, please consider tipping 15% to 30%". So I went to pay for the tip with my Credit Card and was doing $25 on the $140. They then brought my attention to a sign that they have on the counter that basses' tips per hour. So basically, they wanted me to double my tip. Well, when I tip in restaurants its based of the price of the meal. Then they kept telling me in cash was better because of the CC fee which I had no issue with and told them that. But the fact they seemed to try to get me to tip by the hour and talking about paying that in cash (which I never carry) just put a sour taste in my mouth. Which is a shame because I really did like this place and really enjoyed my massage. Now, I think they need to post that sign on their website, so people know in advance what they are expecting in tips and that they rather get their tips in cash. It just makes me feel very uncomfortable when I am not aware of something. I also find it a little annoying that you cannot select a masseuse by name on the website.

(So far, same day if not as soon as you can get there. Probably because they aren't too busy.) For me, this is pretty important because I primarily get a massage after I've overdone it physically and am sore or tight (like after a very long drive.) I don't get them for pampering, which can be scheduled well in advance. I also like that you don't have to sign up for a membership. On the negative side (the reason for the loss of a star), communication is often challenging. English is definitely not their first language. So small talk or conversation beyond explaining how long you want, and how firm, and what areas to focus on is unlikely. I suspect if I spoke their language (Mandarin? Cantonese? Vietnamese?) it would be better.

Yup, at several other brick-and-mortars in the city. I like a true deep tissue massage, not gentle Swedish strokes though she does offer Swedish as well. She hits my tension knots every single time without missing and I consistently leave much more relaxed and relieved. I'd word it as a question rather than claiming anything about their staffing decisions: I booked a lymphatic drainage massage yesterday, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst day-spa experiences I've had. I've been to plenty of spas and have had lymphatic massage before, so I had a reasonable expectation of what this service should be. What makes this especially disappointing is that I explained to my therapist, Shenekwa, that my doctor specifically recommended lymphatic drainage massage to help my body decongest. I explained that this was an important massage for me and that I needed someone experienced and knowledgeable in lymphatic drainage. I specifically asked Shenekwa whether she had performed lymphatic drainage massages before and about her experience with them. She told me that she has several clients she performs them on. After experiencing the service and listening to her responses when I asked questions about lymphatic drainage, I personally find that very difficult to believe. She would give me answers, but they were vague and unhelpful and did not demonstrate the level of knowledge I would expect from someone regularly performing this specialized service. The massage itself was equally disappointing. She used a cheap-feeling aloe vera gel and didn't even have enough product to complete my massage. She actually ran out during the service and continued rubbing and massaging areas of my skin DRY. It was uncomfortable and completely unacceptable for a professional spa service. The lymphatic drainage technique and sequence also did not resemble what I have previously experienced with this type of massage. The entire service felt low-effort and as though very little care was being put into it. I actually felt worse when I left than I did when I arrived. What makes this even more frustrating is that, according to the spa's own website, Kirstie is listed as specializing in lymphatic massage. If the spa has a therapist who specifically specializes in the service I booked, why wasn't I scheduled with her? Especially when I made it clear that this massage was recommended by my doctor and that having someone experienced was important to me. Had I known there was a therapist there who specifically specialized in lymphatic massage, I absolutely would have requested her. There was also an issue before my appointment even started. About 30 minutes before my scheduled 4:00 p.m. appointment, Shenekwa spoke to my husband and told him that she was getting a tire changed and would be running late. I still arrived before my scheduled appointment because I'm always on time. When I arrived, she was already there and apparently able to start on time. I'm glad she made it on time, but since she had spoken to my husband to say she would be late, she could have contacted us again to let us know that she had actually made it back on time. It left me wondering what would have happened if I had relied on what she told my husband and arrived at the later time she indicated. Would I have then been considered late or charged for being late? Clients are expected to respect appointment times, and that consideration should go both ways. If you're going to charge premium day-spa prices for a specialized service like lymphatic drainage massage, you should make sure the therapist performing that service is properly trained, knowledgeable, and skilled in that specific technique. And if you already have someone on staff whom your own website identifies with lymphatic massage, I don't understand why clients booking that specialized service wouldn't be placed with that person. I still gave Shenekwa a $9 tip because I felt she at least tried, but the service failed miserably to meet my expectations. I left feeling worse than when I arrived, and I would absolutely never return. I've had many day-spa experiences, and I've never had one quite like this. For the amount of money being charged, customers deserve a much higher level of professionalism, knowledge, and care.
