I attended the friends and family course which was hosted by Jorge. He was incredibly informative and thorough while explaining everything in detail to us. Jorge provided us with relatable scenarios and made the class fun, which in turn kept my attention and helped me remember what I was learning. Great Instructions, from an actual EMT! Course taken "BLS". Cost $60. Needed to renew my BLS and found this place to be highly rated and appointment ready the next day! Also clearly stated to be an AHA authorized teaching location. Now we ready to go! So, I went in and this was my experience.. Instructor meets you outside the front entrance. Sign-in on two forms and go over brief introduction. After a short video, verbal and hands-on instructions begin. Feel free to ask any questions, you will not be rushed and never think your question is silly. Ask it. They are patient with you and ask if they may proceed, very professional. After all the instruction, its your turn to practice! You'll be given advice and feel free to ask for pointers, like I did. This is about making us better prepared, learn all you can from this instructor because you wont see them again until renewal haha. After all your instructions and hands-on, you'll be going over all the information for a quick 26 question test for your BLS. The instructor goes over everything again beforehand, you will be plenty prepared. Don't stress. Keep cool, You got it! I missed 2 questions, not bad! Passed! Thank you Hands to Heart CPR! Took the Friends and Family CPR class and had Mohamed as our instructor. He was awesome! Was very thorough when going over both the adult, child and infant CPR. Was a great refresher course as I have not taken a CPR class for many years and some stuff had changed. Also went over how to AED and that was awesome. My husband and I completed the CPR and first aid class. To sign up for classes was a bit confusing and when my husband came to his class it was rescheduled for later that day without letting us know. They rushed through the class and depending on who is teaching it you may get a different message. Bottom line if you are really wanting to learn first aid and CPR go somewhere else. If you just have a box you need to check off or want a refresher course this place is fine. read more

My son and I took the family and friends course. Although it was only an hour and a half, we really learned a great deal of "hands on" information. We walked away feeling confident and well informed. The class covered adult, child and infant CPR along with how to help someone who is chocking and how to use an AED machine. It is a very affordable course that does not waste time. First off, Instructor Maggie is wonderful! She was thorough, helpful, and knowledgable about BLS/AED. It was easy to sign up on there website, and even needed to change my date. Was also easy to cancel and reschedule, took minutes. I was able to get a card via ECard as soon as class was over. Cool class for those who already know CPR and need renewal quickly but not recommended as initial training course. Training Is rushed through. Also, the owner lacks professionalism. Never got my card via email as promised nor did I get a call back when I voiced my urgency and concern about it (multiple times more than 24 hours after the class). Eventually, I found a way to get my own digital card (by accident) through the AHA website, which was a relief since I needed to turn in my renewal card to my job in order to work. I still have not received a return call or email weeks later. read more

They offer a variety of courses for certification: - Heartsaver CPR/AED (+ First aid combo) - Basic Life Support - Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Tatiana made the check in process fun and easy, she was very personable. George taught the actual class and was very efficient in delivering proper training, with a few jokes here and there the class flew by! I feel well prepared to help others in case of an emergency. I wasn't blown away by the training here. I went to renew my certification. I've been to three prior CPR trainings at other training centers on the East coast. - I signed up for a 9am-noon training. I was dismissed after less than an hour. - The instructor (Jose) took no time explaining WHY we do CPR. What happens in the body when the blood stops pumping around? Why compressions? I tried to ask a question but he glossed over it and moved on. - When I asked about mouth-to-mouth CPR (something I have learned repeatedly you should never do unless you know the person, and even then only when you feel comfortable- you never know if they might be sick!) he was vague and said the American Heart Association 'recommends it' and immediately brought up a deal for mouth covers for 8 bucks they have at Hands to Heart. Based on previous - more extensive - trainings I've had, I don't think it's a responsible practice to say people should do mouth-to-mouth CPR and use that as a way to make sales. - Half the training is watching videos. The AED part of the training was good and a welcome reminder. I guess this did the trick to renew my certificate, but I'm glad it's not the first and only training I took. read more
