Things have been great but unfortunately due to some, very bad weather a drip started from one then both the skylights. When I spoke to Dave from Wisebuild there was no hesitation to fix the problem. We recently had a deck completed by Handyman of New York (Andre) and were very disappointed with…read morethe outcome. Both ourself and our neighbor were so disappointed that we are going to most likely hire another carpenter to come back and redo both decks. Andre is a very nice person but he is very sloppy and when the deck was finally completely there were multiple floor boards sticking up, screws everywhere, and parts of the railing that were very disjointed and choppy. He also has a tendency to leave the job site in complete chaos at the end of the workday, which lead to numerous complaints from our neighbors and me personally having to organize the materials on almost a nightly basis. Pros: He's very easy to work with and talk to and has some good ideas. His rates are reasonable. Very helpful in drafting drawings and layouts. Negatives: He works alone for the most part. The deck that he completed for us ended up being a 14*12 size deck, which was supposed to have 3-4 workers. (Which is what he committed to me when, we originally reviewed the project. 90% of the time it was only himself, which lead to a much longer project timeline.) The deck was also supposed to be completed in 2 days and took nearly 3.5 weeks. Overall, if you work with Andre, he may be more comfortable with smaller projects, but for larger projects, I would encourage you to do your homework beyond the price of labor.

The border was already installed, yet it took them over 4 hours to install the wooden door slab + they were an additional 2 hours LATE (6hrs in total). 3rd : they came unprepared (I had to supply a hammer and an extension cord) 4th : When they "finished" the door scraped against the floor and wouldn't close. Now I can't use bedroom door! 5th : they DAMAGED the door frame! 6th : 2 guys showed up for the job... one LEFT UNANNOUNCED and didn't return. I felt bad for the other guy (who is also THE OWNER of Jack of All Tradez, Robert Queves), so I paid him half of the cost. Then, he and I agreed that he'd come the next day (early in the morning) to fix their mistakes for the other half... He NEVER CALLED and NEVER SHOWED UP. I LOST MONEY and have to rehire someone to fix their botched job. Overall HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. ***IMPORTANT: THE OWNER called me CURSING and SHOUTING at me about my review. I modified it to include more information. I hope that this review helps the company to learn from their mistakes and clients understand how they handle business.***
