His estimates are generally in the same rage of other bidders. He has completed each of the projects usually when he has forecasted it unless supplies were insufficient. I have included pictures of 3 projects he has done for me. Project 1, he installed wall tiles, hardware, plumbing and a shower door. Project 2, installed wall tile and the plumbing for the Master bathroom soaker/tub. Projects 3, cut, sanded, stained, clear coated red oak 16ft hand rail for a 15 and 16 set of stairs. His accuracy, attention to details, use of advanced tools was demonstrated with identifying one of the walls of the guest bathroom was not straight/level and he made the appropriate modifications to fix the wall before he installed the wall tiles. He works very hard and cleans up when he finishes. You get a knowledgeable, quality mind and consciousness contractor that keeps his word and meets or exceeds your expectations. Awful customer service. Short Summary: we had them build a…read moredeck and canopy in our backyard. They delivered a somewhat okay build, but in the final step, they ghosted me. The experience and their customer service were awful, and they are overpriced for what they do. Here is more detail: I contacted them in September 2024 (yes, it took more than one year to build). The salesperson rushed and pushed me into doing the deal while I was hesitant and looking to get more estimates. The person said they were having a special sale on materials and if I didn't get in right away, I wouldn't get a cheap deal. So, I was pushed into giving the initial deposit for the materials. After I met other contractors, I was surprised that our estimate was so high. I called them to cancel my check because I didn't want to do a contract with them. The owner came with the salesperson, and now there were two people in my house talking about how I couldn't cancel because they had already cashed my check and bought the materials. I had a concern about the HOA and the permit process with the county. They ensured me that it was an easy task and they could do it very quickly, so the materials they already bought were of no concern for the time being. I felt unsure, but they were so adamant that I said yes and went ahead with the work. A few weeks later, they had a problem with the HOA application process and couldn't submit the application. I tried to help them and provided all the usernames and passwords. Few more weeks passed, and they still couldn't figure it out. I told them to send all the materials to me so I could submit it myself. The problem was just an upload limit on the website, so I emailed the files to the HOA instead. It was an easy fix. I didn't really have a problem with this, but the issues started after. Months passed. To be exact, it took about 8 months for permitting to be finished. They kept blaming the city for the delay and said they were also pretty upset about it. I understand it is not really their fault; we just had to wait. However, I got anxious and got our permit number for the application. I think they use a third-party company to do their permitting work because the application had a different company's name on it. That company applied for the final step of permitting in September (8 months after the HOA application). Was the city moving slow, or was their third-party company slow? I think it was both. Okay, so be it--I was stuck with them, so I was willing to see it through until the end. RED FLAG #1!!! When the permit was finally ready, they decided to jack up the price from the initial estimates they had promised. They said it was because of inflation. I pushed back. There were so many things they had promised and hadn't delivered yet. They stopped me from canceling the initial deposit because they "already bought the materials," but now they had to raise their price? Shouldn't the materials have just been sitting in a warehouse? (I think they didn't buy anything; it was all just sales talk). Also, the HOA delay was their fault for not noticing the upload limit--and I have to pay for it? Finally, I know the third-party company submitted the permit late. I argued that this was not reasonable, fair, or correct based on what they promised. The owner finally gave in and promised to do the project at the original quoted price. RED FLAG #2!!! So, the final project was almost done. I asked about the steps to the deck that I had asked for originally and that he promised to do (I do have the receipt). He wanted me to send the money first. I wired the amount he told me to, but after that: silence. No replies, no questions, no answers--nothing for over a month. This was during the holiday time, so I figured he was busy. But now in January, after me asking multiple times, there is no answer. They ghosted me. This is not professional and shows how crummy they are. This is the reason why I am writing this: I was willing to put up with them, wait for them, and pay their expensive quotes, but this is what I get in the final step. This is unacceptable and rude. I will not recommend this business to anybody. BUILD QUALITY It is okay, not exceptional. I will take it, but their attitude angered me. I have attached some photos, but there were some nails that missed the beams. This was a very simple deck and canopy, and they did use good materials overall. It just left a bitter taste behind. Okay, I am not going to waste anymore of my time on them.
