The service team was able to fit me in same day by putting me on standby. Nick was able to diagnose, stop the leak, inspect that the leak had done no further damage, and ultimately get the water heater working within 5 minutes of his arrival. Better yet, he said it was a simple fix and did not charge me, but just asked that I keep them at the top of my list for my next job! Very friendly and presentable all the way. He also assessed my heater and said I probably had about another two years to go before needing to replace, and gave me a written quote for a new water heater and to replace the saddle valve with an angle stop. The angle stop cost was a bit high, but the water heater replacement was very reasonable (just being fair). I am definitely going to reach out to them for my next plumbing job.

He was very clear about what needed to be done and how. He didn't try to scare me into a remodel (yes someone else tried that). I also got estimates from 2 others, but SR was the best. Their estimate wa comfortably within my budget. NOTHING WAS LEAKING AT THAT TIME so I planned to schedule work early January. Then I came home to leaking ceiling. Since they're available 24/7, i called their office. Maria was able to schedule Jimmy to come out within a couple hours. He made sure the pipes were OK, then found the bad seal on my tub. Four hours after coming home my ceiling was no longer leaking, my tub was sealed, and we had plans to fix the rest before the end of the week. Finally, the day of the planned project arrived. Jimmy came out early because I had an afternoon commitment. Everything went exactly as he said it would. Time and cost matched my estimate/ consultation EXACTLY. He looked at the leak and went to Association office of my condo building to request a water shut off to change a cartridge. He was told the shut off would have to be scheduled. He came back to remove cover to see if I had a shut off by the cartridge. I did not. Even though I did not have a shut off he decided to remove the cartridge anyway, but was unable to turn it. Then he said if he was able to remove the cartridge everything would get quite wet because the water wasn't able to be shut off. Then he said he didn't want to get wet and would not try to remove the cartridge. He told me that he would have to return in 3-5 days when the water shut off to my tier could be scheduled. Since he could not remove the cartridge he decided that it was on too tight. He told me I would have to soak rags in vinegar and wrap them around the cartridge and keep rags wet until he returned. He told me if I didn't do this that he might have to go into the wall in the hallway to get to the cartridge. I told them that he would have to get permission from the Association to do something so drastic. The Association told him no. Then before he left he told me to keep the bathroom door closed and leave the ceiling fan on until he returned in 3-5 days. He closed the door. I told him that I had the fan on but wasn't sure it was even working. He did not check the fan and closed the door. When he left, he left muddy boot prints from my bathroom all the way to my front door. When I responded to the ad on Yelp the price to come out was quoted as $69.99 to come out. When he replied to my email he changed the price and said it would be $39.99, but before he left he changed the price again to $69.99. I am a disabled senior citizen dealing with a stranger in my unit and was afraid to question him. I notified his company about the mess he made and they said they had no one to clean it up except him. I told them I did not want him coming back at all because I didn't trust him. I also talked to Association office and we decided he was not competent and that he should not return. I hired a different plumber to come and look at the faucet. They came and found the bathroom door closed and asked me why it was closed. I told them that Preferred Plumbing closed the door. When the door was opened my entire bathroom was dripping water - from the ceiling, down the walls, dripping from the light fixtures and my medicine cabinet. All of the knobs on both my medicine cabinet and my vanity were corroded from the dripping water. The paint was pealing off some of the walls and bubbling up on others. The stain on my medicine cabinet was also peeling off. The floor was so wet I had to put towels down so this plumber could have access to the leaky faucet. Even though I had told Grant that I didn't believe the fan was working, he never checked it before he closed the door. The light fixture was blinking off and on. The new plumber told me that the water probably got into the walls and may have shorted out the wires. Even the floor tiles were coming up. The bathroom door was so distorted from the excessive water it had absorbed it had to be forced to open it all the way. I have been back and forth with Preferred Plumbing explaining the discrepancy in the pricing and the amount of damages Grant caused by closing the door, but they decided that Grant was not at fault. They also refused to adjust the pricing even though I sent them a copy of the email that Grant sent to me quoting the price as $39.99. When the new plumber came he had no problems removing the cartridge even though I had been unable to apply the vinegar soaked rags that Grant insisted were necessary. I would not recomend Grant or Preferred Plumbing to anyone. They changed the pricing and caused a lot of damage to my bathroom. They accepted no responsibility for the price changes Grant made and refused to take responsibility for any of the damages that Grant caused by closing the bathroom door without checking to see if the fan was working even though I told Grant that I did not believe it was working.

As instructed, I texted photos of the window on January 9, 2025. After receiving no acknowledgment that my message had been received, I followed up by phone approximately one week later and was told that they were behind due to the holidays and weather and that someone would be calling me back. When no one contacted me, I called again about a week and a half later and was told the same thing, that they were behind and that someone would be calling me either that day or shortly. Another week passed with no response. When I called again, I was given the same explanation and assurance that someone would call me that day, and I would also receive a quote. At no point during these initial calls was I told that the company was researching parts, seeking a quote, or otherwise actively working on the request. Those explanations were raised only later, during the last call, after I expressed concern about the lack of follow-up. As of February 2, 2025, twenty-four days after my initial message, the company still failed to provide any acknowledgment via text where I was asked to contact them, an update on the parts and service requested, or a meaningful response, and the quote that was promised the week prior has not been received. Instead, I was met with a dismissive and defensive response claiming they do not have time to respond to every text and that they had been researching the issue and would reach out. That explanation does not align with what was actually communicated to me or with the repeated assurances that I would receive a return call. As a business owner, all of my communications are documented and recorded. I was simply attempting to address broken windows for tenants in a timely manner and to engage a vendor willing to perform the work. The failure here rests entirely with this company. Their lack of responsiveness and professionalism has eliminated any possibility of future business or a positive recommendation from me. Buyer beware.

I shared photos and information to get a quote ahead of time for my association to approve before dropping off the existing door to size and replace. I dropped off the door 5/12 and they did a wonderful job explaining to me that there was a part they may need to reuse but would clean it up for me. After some time passed, I called the shop 5/30 to check in on my order in which they told me they were a bit back logged on projects for the summer and I should expect a call soon. I didn't have any outreach so I called again 6/9 (4 weeks after the original drop off date) and they told me it would be ready the next day for pick up. When I went to get the new door, I had asked if I could get a convenance discount as it took double the amount if time to complete as stated. The response was no because my receipt had a blanket statement that said "approx 2 weeks" even though verbally I was told 2 and there wasn't anyone in the store who could approve a discount anyways. On top of this, I inspected my door and the part reused was not cleaned or touched up at all as originally promised. There was still dirt on it from the original drop off. Overall, my door looks wonderful and I am happy with the outcome of it. Blaine does do great work but could use some improvement on customer service and transparency to customers. Please be patient with them and don't be afraid to check in.

Installing new accordion closet door * His girlfriend, as he introduced her (not as a member of the team/business), showed up to each job and did NOT assist. * His quote for wood stairs was $6,000! I'll leave it to you to determine if this is absurd. * Zelle is not a debit transaction and Zelle warns you of this before sending money for services. To simplify, Debit transactions can protect you should the need a arise where Zelle would leave you with no recourse. In my opinion, businesses that do not accept debit/credit are not willing to stand behind their work or are attempting to evade paying taxes. Eligio, as apparent by his reply, is experiencing a visceral reaction to him having to pay taxes like any normal business or has no intention to stand behind his work. If you're okay with this, his work is good (besides installing a door handle backwards).

The work was excellent, and we were very happy with the quality of his work. He spends the time necessary to do the job correctly rather than so many other contractors who do rush jobs without paying attention to details. I highly recommend him.
