The gentle exercise, fresh air, routine, and especially the socialization with other older dogs who are their speed made a tremendous difference in Buddy's quality of life. Sarah and Tony cared for Buddy for the last several years of his life, not only as a regular dog walking client but also during overnight stays when our travel plans were a bit much for a little old man. We always knew he was loved, having a good time and well cared for. We were lucky to have five wonderful years with Buddy, and this team helped make those years even better. I did a fair amount of research via Yelp, but found Good Dog via Instagram. We met Erik and Teal for "testing" at their facilitating near the Alemany Market, and phew!, Oban passed. The facility is spacious, clean, and has an indoor and outdoor area. We started Oban with 3 days a week playcare. He is picked up between 10-11am and home between 4-5pm. He is exhausted by the time he gets home and we don't experience the witching hour that we do when he is home all day. Unlike off-leash plays at the beach, we are not concerned that Oban will bring home lbs of sand or worse off run away. You can tell that Teal, Erik, and Yvonne all love dogs and they take great care of all of the pups. Sometimes, our Oban sits and stares at the door waiting for one of them to come through and take him away to his happy place. We don't know whether to have hurt feelings, or feel joy because he is so happy to go there. When we were finally able to travel (COVID and all) we boarded Oban with Teal and Erik. They sent us daily pictures and updates about his well-being, and what he was doing. These people just plain love dogs and treat them well.
