I have known Jeanette since 1998 and she has been working with dogs since then. She is truly gifted with animals and has done a great job caring for her doggy clients & her own fur babies. I do know however that over the years she had her share of challenging dogs. One of her dog clients had a chronic barking issue. He had an ongoing problem that was so severe it was creating problems between his owner/the neighbors. When Jeanette took care of him she was actually able to stop the chronic barking & he even seemed to enjoy the days that he spent with her. What can I say that is most sincere, convincing, and succinct? Well, it's got to be this--my spoiled, but most beloved babies (Q-Tip and Blackberry) found a second mom who would love them, spoil them, care for them when their real mom, unwillingly, leaves them and go on a vacation. Babies were with Jeanette for 11 days recently when I was vacationing in Maui. I struggled for a long time about this trip because of my babies, who deserve only the highest quality care. Jeannette did a great job caring for our somewhat difficult terrier mix. He has separation anxiety and in the past when we have left him with other people, we got phone calls from them complaining that they couldn't get him to stop barking. Jeannette was able to calm him down right away and he seemed to enjoy the two days he spent with her. She was very good at keeping in touch and updating is too. I can honestly say that if I didn't have Jeannette, I wouldn't have my dog. I travel constantly for work and my dog has a true second home at Jeannette's. I don't often write reviews--only when I get superior service and quality for my money and this is exactly how I feel about Divine Kanine's dog walking services. I have a 50 pound German Shepard mix, Finley, with a lot of issues (she was a rescue)--fear, separation anxiety, doesn't like strangers, AND we just had a baby so she's also going through an adjustment around that. So she is not the easiest dog to handle and definitely only bonds with a few people. BUT she bonded instantly with Jeannette and LOVES to go out with her and her doggie crew. Jeannette is fabulous and everything we want (and need) in a dog walker: honest, responsible, reliable, experienced, and most of all, she genuinely cares about our dog. She's got a huge heart, obviously loves the dogs, and always brings thoughtful treats for Finley. With our busy and chaotic schedules, we really appreciate Jeannette's flexibility whether it's a last minute text or a trip weeks in advance. I also like that I can choose the days that I need week to week because my work schedule changes every week. Her rates are also very fair and reasonable--I've paid more for less service. We used to take Finley to a doggie daycare but realized it took more time to get her to the daycare then to just walk her ourselves--plus the place was always packed and I don't know how much exercise she was actually getting (not to mention the lack of fresh air). Jeannette only takes the dogs to fenced in dog parks which I'm happy about because I've seen too many dogs get "lost" or left behind with off-leash walkers. She also doesn't cram 10-12 dogs into her truck and will only pick up a reasonable amount for one person to look after. I also know she's looking after my dog at the park because I get photos and updates about her behavior. And I know she's getting exercised because when Finley comes home, she plops down on her bed and snores and snores for hours. Overall I couldn't be more pleased with Jeannette's services and I highly recommend her. We haven't tried her boarding services yet but now with the baby, that's next on the list. read more

Jeannette is a fantastic dog sitter. She loves my dog, and takes terrific care of her. When I was traveling recently (expected home the night of July 4th), Jeannette told me she would keep my dog (free of charge) overnight July 4th because she was concerned that my dog, who is terrified of the noise of fireworks, might be alone for part of the evening. I recently had to go on a trip for business and leave my little/big girl Crissy home. She is older blind in one eye and I hate leaving her behind. But she is much too old to travel. jeanette is a total gem who truly loves her job and all the animals in her care. she is incredibly responsible, considerate, and always so accomodating to so many requests and needs. she always treats our boy calvin with sincere affection, yet maintains discipline. as another reviewer has stated, i truly believe that she loves calvin as if he were her own dog, and takes impeccable care of him always. we were lucky to have had jeanette walk calvin regularly, as well as board him a few times while we were on vacation. although we missed him terribly while we were away, we knew that he was happy, healthy and safe. jeanette would even send us text photos on a regular basis of what he calvin was up to while in her care. unfortunately we have since moved and jeanette can no longer walk calvin for us - now live outside SF. despite the move, we still boarded calvin with her for our last vacation because we simply could not leave him with anyone else.
