I'm impressed with the customer service at Hangar 15 bikes in South Jordan. I replaced the tire and tube on my wife's Trek bike. I noticed the rear disk hydraulic brakes weren't working at all. I looked at the hours of Hangar 15 bikes. It said they were open until 7:00 pm. I realized if I hurried I could get there by about 6:30pm I got down there and they were able to fix the brakes by adding brake fluid in under 10 minutes. it was almost completely empty. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I will be taking all my future bike repairs to Hangar 15. All the employees are super friendly. It's a great place for bike repairs and new bikes. read more

Horrible frustrating experience! Again! What a ripoff! They only care about your money! Stay away from them at all costs! They need to learn what customer care is! They charged me $32 to install a new dropper and take it out (wasn't the right length) after telling me it'd be $45 for them to reinstall my dropper! What the h*ll!!! You're going to charge me $32 to put in and take out your dropper post and then tell me it's $45 to put my old dropper post back in! Seriously!!! I came up from southern Utah to do some riding. I needed a new dropper post and did t order it in time from my local bike shop. One of their other stores had it and sent it over. They install my new dropper post and I realize my calculations were off somehow and I probably needed the next size up. They dont have it, but one of their other stores does. I ask them to put my dropper back on, I'll go on my ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop after our ride to get it. They asked me if I wanted them to just take the new dropper out, or install my old one. I told them I'd appreciate them reinstalling my old one so that I can at least go ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop for the correct dropper. They said it'd $45 for them to reinstall my dropper. I said seriously!?! That's outrageous. Nevermind then, my friend and I will install it. Then they told me I owe them $32 for them putting in and taking out the new dropper post. I understand $5-10 or something for the cable, but $32 for that and then telling me it'd be $45 to put my old one back on! Thanks for ruining a ride for me. I had a feeling I'd regret going to them and I truly do. Makes me truly appreciate the amazing, wonderful and true family customer service of Over the Edge! Where you're family and they treat you as such! Where they know and practice true customer service! True southern hospitality. Not this nickel and dime you and screw you over crap by rude staff that's going to rape you financially for everything they can and apparently never learned what true customer service is. I'll deal with my old dropper post for this trip and wait to get back home to support a shop where they genuinely care about their customers! Where you're family and treated as such! Where they care about you and your riding experience and you feel that.! Not this corporate atmosphere where they seem to only care about your money. read more

This location of Hangar15 Bicycles is right in my neighborhood. I have been there multiple times and the staff is always very pleasant and eager to help. I took a bike in for née tires last week. They quickly gave me the options available and the price quote and asked if I could leave it because they were really backed up. I had intended to leave it before I got there so that was not a problem for me. They said they would call the next day when it was ready. So I went on my merry way to do some errands before returning home. Within 1 hour they called and advised me that the bike was ready for pickup. They certainly exceeded my expectation on that one. The price for 2 tires did seem a bit high but I chalked it up to COVID-19 and the depressed economy. I was happy they were still in business and serving my community. And I am always willing to pay a little more for great service. Go with confidence and get out there and bike! read more

I finally bit the bullet and decided to buy a full-suspension. Went to H15 because they're near my house and we bought my wife's bike there. I had in mind a Specialized Enduro and was quickly directed to a salesperson who had ridden one all summer. We talked, he brought one out, and suggested an EVO based on what I was looking to do. I rode it, found one that was marked down for the season and ended up getting a good price, good service, a good bike, and good price. I left to do some research and came back to make my purchase later. I appreciated the no-pressure experience. I wasn't ready to buy pedals so they threw some cheapies on for free. They also prepped my bike tubeless, offering to do it for only the price of the stems. They ended up waiving that too, which I appreciated after dropping enough money to buy a small motorcycle. I'm happy with my purchase and the decision to finally go full-suspension. Only thing I would have liked was a little more orientation to the bike. It's not overly complicated, but just some tips like where my serial number is, how to work the seat height, etc. Good staff though, helpful. I plan on servicing my bikes there and really have no complaints. They have an impressive show room and many bikes to look at and compare. I didn't really shop price, but that's because I had done some prior research and was confident in the price I was getting. I'd recommend this place. I had a good experience. read more

I came into the store today with my dad, and brought my old Huffy Santa Fe with me. I had new tubes & tires put on at this location last summer, and the tires were great. But the service left something to be desired. We didn't feel appreciated, and felt almost like a nuisance being there. I took the bike on a ride this weekend, and got a flat. So despite our experience at the store last time, we figured we would give them a second chance. When we came into the store, there were 3 employees working. The guy closest to the door was very standofish, and didn't act like he wanted to help us. So we went to the other station. These two other employees were more willing to help (specifically the younger one who actually changed out the tire). But to us, it still almost felt like pulling teeth to get their advice/ thoughts. It just seemed like they made it harder than it had to be, and the whole experience wasn't as pleasant as it could have been. The saving grace from the experience was that the new tube was put in, and works great. The price for the tube, and labor to put it in is reasonable. I also appreciated how the younger employee who switched out the tubes answered a couple questions we had about how often to lube the chain, and explained a bit more about how the gears work. (I am not super knowledgeable about bikes, and I am still trying to understand how to shift gears.) From other reviews it seems like the Draper location has better service, so we will check them out instead in the future. read more

This is where I always go when my kids' bikes need repairs. They always know exactly what's wrong and do a great job of fixing it. On our most recent visit, they even trimmed some wire that was sticking out from my son's bike without me asking. When we got it back, the bike was in better condition than even before it broke! They're also super attentive. Employees kept asking me if I'd been helped and they even offered to help put the bike in my trunk. I can tell they really want their customers to be happy. Absolutely fantastic service and prices. I stopped in to look at some road bike shoes and was extremely pleased with the service and friendly staff. I happened to notice a bike a buddy had been looking for on the rack and they were more than happy to walk myself and him through it as well as all the accessories he needed to get started in cycling. The pricing was fair and the credit towards gear when purchasing was a very nice plus that actually swayed us from purchasing at another local specialized dealer. What a waste of time it was going to a bunch of other bike shops! I should have just come here. Alot of shops are dedicated to one brand or really try to push a particular brand because thats what they get paid out the best on. So you have to drive from store to store to test out and look at every brand. Not at hangar 15. I worked with Ethan a very chill cool young kid who was very very customer friendly and wanted to make sure i was absolutely happy. He gave me the rundown of different styles and had me try out a bunch of different types and brands of bikes before settling on a full suspension 2020 specialized stump-jumper. We then picked out a few accessories and upgrades i wanted and the bike techs stared installing them as Ethan rang me up. From selection to customer service to fair prices overall hangar 15 is a 12 out of 10 for me! Best experience i have had in a long time. Thank you Ethan and thank you hangar 15! My brother and I were looking for bikes shop which open on labor's day but couldn't find any where around our house. And finally we found this place but we had a 30 minuets only before their closing time. One of the biggest cycling shop in the area but the south Jordan location needs to be a little more friendly I'm not sure if the Australian / New Zealand guy is the manager but he needs to be a little more friendly with folks especially when folks look to him as the expert. If your not happy interacting with the public I'm sure they can find a place that does involve you interacting with customers. On a better note the other locations particularly the Draper location is top notch. Even though it's out of our way we will visit there before South Jordan. read more

I've been a long time customer of Canyon Bicycles. I use to shop at the Draper store, but the new South Jordan location is closer to my house. I've made several purchases here over the past year. I also had my bike serviced here recently. The reason I'm writing this review is because of their incredible staff. Whenever I have a question, I get an honest opinion from a real expert. Two specific events stand out in my mind... I brought my roof rack over because I needed some help with installing some additional trays, etc. I bought the rack from them 5 years ago. Even though they already made the sale, they didn't hesitate to help me with the old rack 5 years later. I recently brought my road bike in to have the bottom bracket overhauled and some new bar tape installed. Two days later, they called me up to say it was done. I took it for a test drive and the bike was riding better than it did when I first bought it from REI. In fact, they must have adjusted the shifting, because it's no longer jumping out of the lower gear like it used to. I didn't ask them to do it, but they must have recognized the problem when it was on the bike stand, and jut decided to fix it. I've been to several bike shops in the valley, and Canyon consistently ranks at the top. read more

My son is on a local mountain bike team. At one time these guys were one of the sponsors. My husband bought a very expensive mountain bike from them for our son. The times we have brought the bike for service I haven't been all that comfortable with the service department. I don't know all that much about mountain bikes, but I do know when someone is trying to take advantage of me. Even though the bike is supposed to be serviced for free as part of the purchase agreement. I am going to take it somewhere else even though I am going to have to pay. read more

I went to Canyon to try to decide which road bike to buy. Don't know the employees name but he has the personality of a stump and didn't seem interested in selling me a bike. After he blew me off about the bike I asked him to tell me about helmets. He told me that helmets protect your head. That is very helpful information...I had no idea that a helmet would protect your head. Bought my road bike at Wasatch Touring in Salt Lake City. Awesome and helpful Ryan got my business. Avoid Canyon Bicycles unless you enjoy being ignored and treated like you are stupid...then this is the store for you. read more

In short, I'm not going back. I'm not impressed with the staff. My first visit to the store I waited 20 minutes without acknowledgement that I was there. There were only two other customers in the store. One was browsing, and the other was looking at gloves. I went in to purchase a bike, and left the store without being able to talk to an employee. I may have a smaller tolerance for waiting when purchasing a big ticket item, but 20 minutes is too long regardless. They do have a big selection of bikes, but most of the bikes I was interested in were not my size. They were either a small or a large, and I'm a medium. The bikes are also setup so close to one another that it is difficult to pull one out to inspect it. read more

I just moved near this store. I had a major noise on my Specialized. I called, spoke to a nice guy who encouraged me to bring it in before closing and drop it off. Very friendly about it. So I rushed to get over there before closing and got in about 20 minutes until they closed. Expecting to just leave it, the guy that helped me tested out the bike, found the noise I was talking about, took it right to the back and did something and fixed it right on spot! I wasn't expecting that at all and he just quietly gave the bike back to me. Really exceeded my expectations and I was so surpised how helpful he was. I've gone to Canyon before and it's been fine, nothing extreme one way or another, but I left feeling so grateful this time so I'll be a lifer. Now, as a consumer, don't be unreasonable and expect all problems to be fixed in 10 minutes on spot and waltz in expecting it all right before they're supposed to go home, I'm simply just articulating that they went beyond expectations right before closing and got me out of there in time when they could have just taken the bike and put it in back and dealt with it later. I had a heck of a bad day and that sort of lightened my mood, so I appreciate it. Nicely laid out store and clean as well. read more

I have been very pleased with the staff at Canyon Bicycles. Everyone we have worked with, at the South Jordan store, has been knowledgeable and willing to help. When my son crashed on his brand new mountain bike, they made a situation that could have been terrible very easy. Eric was especially helpful with getting the repairs and replacement parts taken care of. He gave us an excellent price on the parts that needed to be replaced. I was shocked how inexpensive and quick the whole process was. I'm a fan of Canyon Bicycles and will definitely be going back. read more
