All facets of my latest visit to GoRide was 5 star. I had a shock serviced and wheel trued perfectly in 4 1/2 days reasonably priced!

The team at Go-Ride has been totally awesome to work with. From the day I first purchased my bike to the subsequent service appointments, they've been terrific. The owner and employees are good people and are committed to providing great service to customers. Back in March, while I was busy skiing as much as possible, I stopped by Go-Ride to check out mountain bikes. I figured I could get a great price on a last season's bike and a friend told me Go-Ride had the best selection of mountain bikes in town. I was not disappointed! Go-Ride specializes in mountain bikes and inventories most of the major brands, models, and sizes. Ryan helped me for nearly two hours, matching me to a great bike and taught me how to adjust the bike, and dial it in for my riding. I had a lot of questions about just about everything and he patiently answered everything and gave me killer advice. I LOVE the Pivot Mach 6 Carbon, I purchased, and Go-Ride sold it to me for a great price too. It's probably more bike then I needed as a beginner, but I've put about 200 miles on it so far this season, and I've LOVED it every mile. It fits me really well, is comfortable to ride, handles well, and jumps great. A few weeks ago while riding in Eagle Mountain my rear derailleur came off the bike because a bolt had gone missing. I should have been more conscientious about checking the bike before each ride, but as a new rider I'm still learning. Thankfully we were able to fix it on trail and got back to riding. Later that day I stopped by Go-Ride to have a bike tech take a look and make sure nothing else was wrong or broken. The tech did a thorough inspection, replacing the missing bolt, tightening everything, and making some other adjustments -- all free of charge. He got me back to riding the next day without any delays, which was awesome and very much appreciated! Last month I dropped my bike off for the new bike tune-up and they promised next day turnaround. Continuing their aim of delivering great service, my bike was actually finished later that same day! I picked it up, clean and shiny, and ready for more dirty mountain riding. Years ago I was looking for a 'go to' shop that would help me get the right gear for my riding style. I also don't really know what I am doing with maintenance...so I needed a place I could trust on the service side. I strongly recommend both locations. Great people that care about the customer experience and take the time necessary to help. Additionally they give back to the community in a variety of ways. Some nasty, clearly privileged, red headed, little boy parading about like a manager, took it upon himself to berate my 14 year old son for having a "low quality,cheap" bike, which is why they were not able to fix it - THREE separate times. It's a $600 GT bike, most kids would disagree that this is a low quality bike. They took his money, told him they could fix it, then when it became clear they didn't have the skills to fix it, they blamed the bike. NO, they didn't offer to refund his money. We'll be making a formal complaint with the BBB along with google, yahoo and Facebook reviews. read more

Seriously, just a really great shop. Purchased my Santa Cruz elsewhere, but when my rear cassette failed, that shop didn't seem interested in helping me out, so I went to Go-Ride and Pablo was freaking awesome. He saw why the cassette broke was due to it was an early release Eagle Cassette which was known to have this weakness, so it could be warrantied. But also, when the cassette failed, it destroyed my driver too. Pablo and the team at Go-Ride went above and beyond to get everything resolved - and I didn't even buy the bike from them! But since then, every other interaction with Go-Ride has been just great. Amazing suspension techs - I don't know what kind of black magic they practice in the back shop, but after they work on my suspension it performs better than I ever thought it could. Make sure you buy a bike through this shop if you want help from them. My sons are on the local high school mountain bike time and Go Ride Draper is supposedly the "official" bike shop for our team. I've taken my sons bikes (purchased elsewhere) in for service/repair on three separate occasions and each time they've snubbed us because we didn't buy our bikes through them. They've reluctantly said they would help us but then put us low on the priority list which is always usually about two weeks out. Fortunately, Hangar 15 (nearby) has been able to help us and get us right in for a comparable or even better price. I'm done trying to use Go Ride Draper. You can find way better service elsewhere. read more

Went in today to either purchase new pedals for my V10 or new pins for my deity pedals. I stood around being ignored by the 4 employees that wondered around, and when I finally received some assistance, the gentlemen left for the back and never returned, (I'm talking several minutes never returned). Then the chick behind the counter had the audacity to ask me "are you going to buy something". After I found what I was looking for online, I left. Too bad Go Ride is no longer a bike shop for actual riders, but instead a place for the rich to go dump their cash. On another note, thanks for all your help Guthrie Cycles. I cant say enough how awful this bike shop is (draper location)! I brought my son's bike in to have the de-railer adjusted. I picked it up brought it home assuming it was fixed and within the first ride it was obvious that it wasn't any better. Took it back and showed the tech and he said no problem we will get it fixed right away. Picked it up a week later and same issue again! Brought it back for the 3rd time and this talked to someone whom I assume was the manager or an owner (short red headed guy). He quickly explained to me that my bike was cheap and un fixable. I didn't know $600 was cheap but I understand now lol. After listening to the pretentious prick tell me how my bike was cheap and not worth fixing I left and decided to stop by Taylor's Bike shop. Wow what a difference! They fixed it within 10min! I guess when they can't fix something shaming is the goto to get you to leave? read more

Full disclosure: I worked at Go-Ride while I was in college. If you're serious about mountain biking, particularly gravity-fed mountain biking, you're not going to find a better bike shop. And I mean that literally. There is not a more knowledgable group of mountain bicycle employees at any shop in the country. These guys ride and race the products they sell. They help do R&D for manufacturers. Kris and Scott are each veritable encyclopedias of data and maintenance on virtually every component of the off-road cycling world. They've helped fine-tune World Cup downhill frames and suspension, and that knowledge and experience is quite literally available to you. Great brands, reasonable pricing, unmatched (and fun) staff. Can't go wrong with these guys. read more

My three buddies and I wanted to demo some bikes and ride around Corner Canyon for the day. The friendly and knowledgeable folks at Go-Ride were awesome--they suggested trails, hooked us up with gear we had forgotten, and were extremely patient with a group of road bikers who were experimenting with mountain biking for the first time. Went in to purchase parts for my bike and ending up with defective ones. They asked me to bring the parts and bike on so they could fix it for me. When I went on the next ride they forgot a spacer and the chain and sprocket were grinding on the tensioner. Took it back to them and they put the part back on but then charged me for it. The mechanic even said they forgot to put it back on but Manny didn't even apologize for the mistake or say they would take care of it. I'm in the market for a new bike this fall, but will not be going near this place to make my purchase. read more

I had gotten my ebike stolen after Luke was great in fixing a small issue. I tipped him twenty bucks and bought a helmet. Luke was super appreciative. So I called and asked if he could just look at my bike and I'd buy some oil for my chain. He came out only to say he wouldn't even look at my bike even though on the phone he said he would. He repeated telling would you like to make an appointment and I asked do I need to and he said I don't know do you. This is my only negative review I have ever left. Luke was condescending and he could of easily told me on the phone not to come. So the place might be great but Luke needs some communication training to say the least. read more

I was very happy to find a quality bike shop near my new apartment, especially since my bike is my main mode of transportation. The customer service here is great. Today I went in because I was having problems with my gears skipping, and I had no idea how to work on the problem myself. Cody gave my bike a great tune-up, and at a really affordable price. His customer service was excellent. He showed me why I was having problems, and had really good recommendations for upgrades on how to keep my bike running at its best. This is officially the only bike shop I will go to in Salt Lake City. Cody was thoughtful, kind, really helpful, and didn't get "sales pushy" like at some bike shops. Review is for the Draper location but apparently they don't have a page on Yelp. Took my rear wheel in with a new tire to get fresh Stan's and have them set the bead with the compressor. Got help quickly but tire didn't hold air. Took it back in the next day, service guy put the blame on me for "not riding it immediately". B.S. He set the bead again. This time it held for a few days and one ride, but then went flat again. After further inspection it appears that a very small amount of Stans was added the first time, definitely not enough. So now I need to do this whole thing again but definitely not taking it back to Go-Ride in Draper. Classic bike shop pretentious attitude and can't do a simple job right the first time. Bought a custom Pivot Phoenix DH bike costing about as much as a new Japanese dirt bike or Korean car. You would think when spending that kinda dough, you would get some service. You would be wrong. When my bike was ready, I came in and told them who I was. The guy brought the bike out and said "there you go". That's it? No bike fitting/ adjustment, no thank you, no telling me about the bike. Nothing that a person spending hundreds, let alone thousands on a bike would expect. "There you go". I might as well just build the bike myself if I have to do the fit, etc. on it and save some money. No one wears name tags, but the guy who "helped" me was wearing a VW t-shirt. read more

Went in there with a friend looking to buy a Yeti SB 5.5 yesterday and it was the most unorthodox experience. The guy that works there, shorter with the beard, acted like we were aliens. I would never put him in front of a potential customer. We couldn't get him to say three words. These people need to remember that Backcountry is down the street and it's getting harder to support a local bike shop that act like this. I would never go back to this shop. read more

An overall excellent mountain bike shop with super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Went in to rent/ demo bikes with intention of later buying when we relocate to Salt Lake. Pablo totally hooked me up. Took a lot of time to talk about bikes and my specific needs. He's a master of suspensions. No hard sell at all and no technical talk above my knowledge level. Just " what's the best bike for you in your price range". They have anything and everything you need for mountain biking. Definitely A "go to" shop. read more

Came down from Vegas for my son's birthday. He's been riding my old Intense M1 from like 02 that I bought from Go Ride back in the day and he's killin it. He decided he wanted a new bike instead of a car. We go to grab a bite to eat first before we go look at bikes. We roll by a local restaurant and holy sh## Go Ride is across the street. So we pull in, absolutely no cars in the lot, no open sign, nothing. it looks like maybe they're just moving to the new location. So I tell my kid wait in the car and I'll go check. I walk in and its a full shop nice and set up. One guy working on a bike, doesn't say a word to me, just glances at me. I see another guy in an office he looks up at me, doesn't say a word and then looks back down at the desk. I try to start a conversation with the guy working on the bike, no joke, it was like talking to a wall, like I wasn't good enough to be in the showroom. So not even exaggerating less than 2 minuets and I'm walking out telling my kid Fuc# this place let's go somewhere else before the door even closed behind me. Ended up dropping 8G on bad ass session 9.9 race shop limited at a shop that smiled and said "what's up, how are you two doing today" as soon as we walked in. This is my first review ever, and its sad because I used to ride with Von and Crispy, the real OG's of Go Ride. Telling my kid about all the crazy sh## we used to do. I was hoping that my kid would have the same Go Ride experience I had. But whatever times change. I'll never go back. read more

I stumbled onto go-ride a few years ago just because they had the bike I was looking for at the lowest price. I have become a total fan. I'm probably in their store a dozen times a year for tune-ups, gear advice, suspension tuning, wheel straightening. Always honest with me, super knowledgeable and they have killer deals on gear. I bought a new bike from Go Ride. They care nothing about their customers. When I purchased the bike they had no serial number on any of the contracts. This is illegal. I called the owner Scott and he just passed the buck and told me the manager Parker would follow up with me. Have not heard a word from them. I also asked Scott the owner if this is standard practice and he said NO it slipped through the cracks. COME ON show a little customer service!!! I spend a lot of money at this store, No more. Apparently purchasing a bike from this shop isn't enough to grant you decent customer service. While trying to make some upgrades to my son's bike I was attempting to work with a mechanic on building a new wheelset. I paid for the mechanic to calculate spoke length which was ultimately inaccurate, cost me $60.00 in spokes and lots of waisted time. When I went back to the shop and politely tried to solve the problem with said mechanic, he couldn't be bothered to look me in the eye, and basically mumbled "sorry, i guess you need shorter spokes." No apology for the mistake, or attempt to help me out. Totally vibed me and essentially scolded me for attempting the project on my own. When i contacted the owner, he simply tried to justify his rude behavior by his "incredible ability to work on bike shocks." Zero appreciation for my business. At the end of the conversation, the owner did offer to rebuild the wheel, but his tone was unapologetic. Unfortunately, a super bad interaction with a mechanic, overshadowed helpful sales staff. This shop made me feel inferior, and totally waisted my time and money. NEVER GOING BACK! read more

Just recently Stu installed a new shifter for me, and it was adjusted perfectly right out of the shop, no adjustments were needed on the trail.
