I noticed the rear disk hydraulic brakes weren't working at all. I looked at the hours of Hangar 15 bikes. It said they were open until 7:00 pm. I realized if I hurried I could get there by about 6:30pm I got down there and they were able to fix the brakes by adding brake fluid in under 10 minutes. it was almost completely empty. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I will be taking all my future bike repairs to Hangar 15. All the employees are super friendly. It's a great place for bike repairs and new bikes.

You're going to charge me $32 to put in and take out your dropper post and then tell me it's $45 to put my old dropper post back in! Seriously!!! I came up from southern Utah to do some riding. I needed a new dropper post and did t order it in time from my local bike shop. One of their other stores had it and sent it over. They install my new dropper post and I realize my calculations were off somehow and I probably needed the next size up. They dont have it, but one of their other stores does. I ask them to put my dropper back on, I'll go on my ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop after our ride to get it. They asked me if I wanted them to just take the new dropper out, or install my old one. I told them I'd appreciate them reinstalling my old one so that I can at least go ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop for the correct dropper. They said it'd $45 for them to reinstall my dropper. I said seriously!?! That's outrageous. Nevermind then, my friend and I will install it. Then they told me I owe them $32 for them putting in and taking out the new dropper post. I understand $5-10 or something for the cable, but $32 for that and then telling me it'd be $45 to put my old one back on! Thanks for ruining a ride for me. I had a feeling I'd regret going to them and I truly do. Makes me truly appreciate the amazing, wonderful and true family customer service of Over the Edge! Where you're family and they treat you as such! Where they know and practice true customer service! True southern hospitality. Not this nickel and dime you and screw you over crap by rude staff that's going to rape you financially for everything they can and apparently never learned what true customer service is. I'll deal with my old dropper post for this trip and wait to get back home to support a shop where they genuinely care about their customers! Where you're family and treated as such! Where they care about you and your riding experience and you feel that.! Not this corporate atmosphere where they seem to only care about your money.

I am pleased to say that the experience was truly incredible and I would give more than 5 stars if possible. I bought a used bike last week for my son through the classifieds. He was so anxious to ride it but it needed some work. I called Hangar 15 in the morning and they confirmed they had the shoes we needed in stock. I didn't call any other stores since I felt I needed to give them an opportunity to win back my patronage and to try a fresh start. They also committed to installing pedals immediately if we purchased them at the store and confirmed the correct version of speedplays were in stock over the phone. This was a big deal since it normally would have taken several days. We drove down less than an hour later and they treated my teenage son who is very new to cycling like royalty. Pedals installed, shoes fitted... they even put new handlebar tape on the bike and put it on a trainer so he could learn to clip in and clip out of the new pedals. The store was busy but they gave us the personal touch and professional treatment. We rode 40 miles the next day from the Murdoch trail up to Bridal Veil falls in Provo canyon and back. I was very very impressed. The store staff was active, professional, and paid attention to detail. I will go to them first if I need bike stuff... we have five kids and a garage full of bikes. I'm glad I went back.

Took my specialized epic in for a tune. Paid for their premium tune on a Thursday and was told it…read morewould be done between Sunday and Monday which I was totally fine with. Received a call Saturday that it was finished. I picked it up and took it home. However when taking a closer look when I got home the entire bike including the drivetrain was still quite dirty. It was not terribly dirty when dropped off but it looked no different as if it hadn't even been wiped down. The drivetrain was also not adjusted. It was having similar issues I was having before the tune (not setting properly on the largest cog and not shifting smoothly). It appeared as if this was not addressed at all. The wheels were also clearly not trued. I took the bike back in as I was concerned that if these didn't get done, other things might not have been finished as well. The technician checked the bike back in for me and mentioned that the drivetrain was clearly not adjusted properly nor were the tires tried as he immediately went to work on them. A technician called me in two days to let me know the bike was done. I picked it up with a note that stated no other issues were found. I am still not convinced that half the work I paid for in their nicest tune was actually done. Even if "no other issues were found" was the work I paid for that isn't as easily inspected or an obvious "issue" actually done? I am unfortunately led to believe that they check a few boxes and turn bikes out the door as quickly as they can. The staff is very kind, but sadly I don't think I will be returning or recommending them in the future.

They made a fresh cut on the bottom to help with water uptake and loaded the tree into the car for us. Years ago we also bought a stand from them; instead of the usual pins, it has a single post in the middle of the well. Since their trees have holes drilled in the bottom, you just place the tree onto the post and you're done! It's so much easier than trying to twist the pins to hold the tree in place. Highly recommend the stand. They're also offering a special coupon for $20 off at Root'd across the street with a tree purchase!

Service meets expertise!…read more I'm a mountain biker that just got into road biking - I walked in here with about 2 dozen questions and in need of lots of help (and honestly lots of hand holding!); Cottonwood Cyclery absolutely exceeded my expectations. The lady that helped me fully dedicated over 20 minutes to walking around the shop helping me make a list of all the equipment, clothing, tools, and supplies I'll need for my newly purchased road bike. She also spoke with me at length about cleaning and riding techniques, as well as tips and tricks from her own cycling experience. She was also able to recommend a third party to properly fit my bike to me, which she uses herself. I didn't look around at the new bikes too much, but I did notice they had a selection of mountain bikes, e-bikes, and road bikes. They've got tools, bags, shoes, cleaners and lubricants, CO2 tire inflators, tubes, and everything else you'd ever need. They were out of a few clothing items due to shortages from high demand during COVID, but they were still able to provide recommendations about what to look for. That undivided attention was so valuable and helpful - I couldn't have asked for anything more than the experience I had here. This isn't the closest bike shop to me, but it is 100% worth the drive. AND I'd like to mention they are open an hour later than most other bike shops, which is so appreciated and convenient when I rushing to get some shopping done after my work day. I just bought two electric bikes from eSpokes and they are amazing!…read more Every time I go out on my bike I have sooo much fun. The best part is effortlessly shooting up a hill past some kids who look at me like I must be superhuman or something : ) There's no way they can easily tell my bicycle has a power assist mode. Too funny.. eSpokes have been really helpful and great to work with. I added a ton of upgrades, least of which were puncture resistant tires and inner tubes, vital I have learned, for cycling in the Salt Lake Valley. I can honestly say and you are going to think I am crazy for saying this, but buying these (easy motion) bikes from eSpokes is the best and funnest thing I have ever purchased!!! Electric bikes have come so far in the last couple of years, they look like mountain bikes but make cycling uphill a breeze and ride just like normal bikes on a level grade. I've heard some people say these are like cheating. In my opinion they are missing the point. Both myself and my wife go out on them a lot and get a lot of exercise because they are so fun. She can keep up with me and riding back up the hill is no longer a pain. eSpokes rock!!!

They take bikes and refurbish them to sell, but are so much more with their community programs. If you want to rent a bench, you can get all the tools you'll need to do your own fix. They have pros there who can guide you through some basic things, but it's not a bike repair shop, so don't expect to drop it off and have something fixed; you're here to learn and work together. It looks like they're booking shopping appointments online now, and when I dropped by they were open but the doors are locked. It's a teeny retail space and they are still exercising great caution about COVID. You can peruse what's available and as is the case with any store like this, it's very hit or miss with styles and sizes, but that's half the fun.
