The chicken was fresh and crispy, the slaw had a sweet, cooling effect, the Mac n cheese was what you'd expect for fast food: creamy but bland, even with the strip of seasoning on it. The fries with cheese seasoning were way better than I expected. Crisp, fresh, not too oily and the seasoning had a complementary sweet flavor that pairs really well with the sandwich. Everything had a hint of sweet, which seems odd to me but I think it's common in Korean dishes? At any rate, it was good. The Thai tea was ok. We ordered delivery from DoorDash and we're very pleased. We had a 10 piece chicken tenders, which were large and flavorful. The chicken was not dry at all. They put it on bread which helps to absorb any extra moisture. The mac & cheese was fine. The boys liked it and it's good enough for a little bit of adult eating. The waffles were quite the hit. I like such but not into too spicy so I got medium spice which was perfect. The sandwich comes on a well chosen brioche bun with plenty of slaw, pickles, and hangry sauce. You know how some places skimp on the sauce? This one didn't. Plenty of sauce on the sandwich but not too much. I would definitely get it again if I was craving a chicken sandwich. Yelp provided me with several inspired choices, but I could not resist the name HANGRY JOE'S. What in the world? Okay, sure it says right there 'hot chicken.' Great new chicken place! We ordered a variety of things. I got the chicken sandwich which is HUGE. The chicken hangs off the side of the sandwich and I was nearly full after eating less than half the sandwich. My hubby got the salad and he enjoyed the heat of his hot chicken. Very flavorful and amazing crunch factor. My son and his mom told me about this place when visiting so I went to give it a try. Awhile back, there was a sign that said due to unexpected delays, they would provide a free bubble tea with any meal purchase when they open by showing a photo of the sign at the register due to the Dining Guide ad. The presentation of the food looked amazing. The waffle fries are seasoned well but are more on the dense starchy side. I got the hot flavor and it was definitely spicy so beware if you can't tolerate spice. However, the spice was balanced with the sweetness of the coleslaw so it wasn't too bad. Was very excited to try Hangry Joe's based on the pictures that I've been seeing online and on their online menu. I went to Hangry Joe's on a Saturday afternoon and I went inside and asked for two paper menus. They informed me they didn't have any paper menu so I went to my car and looked up the menu online. Me and my daughter finally figured out what we were going to order and we placed a pick up order through DoorDash. The order was confirmed and we were told that our order would be ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. About 2 to 3 minutes after the order was placed it was immediately canceled. I didn't understand why so I immediately went inside and I asked the worker why she canceled my order. She immediately began acting very suspicious and wouldn't answer any of the questions I was asking claiming she could not hear me. I then told her the fact that she did not want to work had nothing to do with me, but I could not understand why she would blatantly cancel the order. So I called DoorDash and I asked them to tell me who canceled the order. DoorDash informed me that it was the Hangry Joe's location that canceled my order. Needless to say I do not ever want to eat here. I do not recommend this place. Be aware of the young lady Hispanic worker in the kitchen, horrible attitude and she's the one who canceled my order. You can taste the honey on the chicken but I wish it had a little bit more on it. For the food, they sell chicken sandwiches, chicken wraps, chicken wings, chicken and waffles, etc. For drinks they sell smoothies, flavored teas, and Boba drinks. You select the spice level for your food. They restaurant is small inside. There is not much room to stand for your to go orders. They give you a pager to let you know when it's ready. They have a small simple menu (are you really gonna get anything other than chicken at a chicken place?), easy online ordering, good prices, and fast service. I tried their mild dry rub and soy garlic wet sauce. I have a reasonably high spice tolerance and the mild was still borderline too much for me. Location: This location is in the shopping center with 7-11 across from HCC. Parking is limited in the front of the restaurant but there's more parking in the back/side and then you take a set of stairs to get up to the restaurant. Food: 4/5 stars. I order the sando jr combo. I typically like medium flavored chicken but I got mild as suggested by a friend, and I'm glad I did because it definitely had a kick. The fries were the best waffle fries I've ever had. I would go back solely for their fries and dipping sauce. I took 1 star off because the combo only included like 5 fries (smaller than a standard kids fry at other restaurants). In the future I will not order the combo and will get a small order of fries on the side because the portion is a lot more generous. Drink: 4/5 stars. I ordered the 100% sweetened mango passion fruit tea and it was super sweet. You can modify the sweetness to your liking using a sweetener percentage when ordering. Next time I will get 50% sweetened so it's not excessively sweet. Inside restaurant: 3/5 stars. upon entering you will see self service ordering screens next the cashier. I recommend going to the cashier if you have questions. There's only a few tables inside and they are packed very close together might even be out of compliance with ADA accessibility requirements because they're that close. There's a small bathroom in the back of the restaurant. Experience: 2.5/5 stars. At 847pm an employee started their closing clean up by wiping tables and stacking chairs while people were still eating which I think is pretty rude. Most people don't want you sweeping next to them eating.... That same employee went on to tell a guy eating that the restaurant closes at 9pm as if he wasn't a paying customer eating his food. You could clearly tell he was almost done so I felt like the closing comment was unnecessary. Mind you there's still 7 patrons waiting on their order so I doubt we will all be out by 9pm. I've worked in the service industry myself and I understand wanting to get off work at a reasonable time but I've never seen a restaurant rush their paying customers to eat the food before closing time. New spot in town. I have been twice since they have opened and slowly working my way up the spice chain. It's located in a very small shopping center so be prepared to have to walk from a neighboring lot. The restaurant is small with only a very limited dining area. You can place an order on the tablets they have at the counter or you can place your order with an employee. My food was prepared quickly. I wanted to try out the chicken and waffles. I chose the mild seasoning. The tenders were good. Not the best but not bad. The waffles were very sweet. They came with a lot of powdered sugar. They were also a little heavy and thick. The service wasn't the greatest, as the cashier & management(I presume) seemed busier conversing with each other than me, who had a question about an order that I placed on the self order kiosk. The kiosk shut down on me, so I asked if they received my order to which they replied they didn't. I placed a second order and my food came out in a timely fashion, and everything was good. I was abit surprised to find out that I was charged for my original order as well, and never received that food. That said, this wasn't an awful experience by any stretch.
