OO: KPOT Beef Hot Pot Combo Meal

Had Luis as our server and he was fantastic !! Super attentive to our requests. The food was awesome too. Over all, always have a great time here. 10/10

Everything was amazing. When you first walk in, the decor and lighting is Instagram ready. They have a light up grass wall and the interior is spacious. The food was good. I recommend coming in and finding your rhythm with the food before ordering a lot because as with most Korean BBQ's wasted food is an additional charge. Our server was Albert and he, along with the team did an outstanding job in making our daughter feel special for her 14th birthday. We would definitely recommend and come back.

    Dinner

It was amazing. Please bring a big appetite. The service also top tier. Ambiance not so good since they sat us in the back (not by the bar)

I never knew about Kpot's Laurel location until I stumbled on Yelp (thank you, Yelp, as always). I must say, I was pretty impressed with the overall experience at this restaurant. I got my Korean BBQ fix after my gym session, which satisfied my craving! The overall atmosphere is clean, but I only noticed that the booth seats looked a bit worn out. P.S. Their fried wings from their hot station were on fire when I dined in! The parking lot is big enough to find parking.

KPOT is unfortunately not my jam. Service was decent minus the lady who delivered orders to my table. She never asked who ordered what and just plopped food down in front of us. There were 4 of us and for some reason they thought it would be decent to sit us at a 8 seater table where half of the burners worked. Why not just seat us at a booth? The spicy chicken was nice and spicy broth. Would not recommend or return.

KBBQ here was great. Menu was extensive enough but less options than I've seen at other places. But for the price point it was a great deal at around $35 a person. The really cool feature they had here was the sauce bar - you can make whatever combo of sauces you want. So good. They have plenty of options for picky eaters (even fried chicken, fries, and chicken nuggets) and fruit and cake for desert. Plus our great server brought us some ice cream cups at the end too. So stuffed. KPOT gets 5 big booms

This is the place to go for unlimited Korean BBQ. You grill yourself over your tableside flame. It costs about $31 a person. You can make your own sauces at a buffet line that includes edamame, some canned fruit and French fries. I guess they want you to fill up on this stuff or the bulk cakes. They have many types of chicken and steak and a few sausage, salmon, shrimp and various pork belly concoctions. The meat is very thin and I would say low quality because of the price. They gave us giant rib eyes but they were very thin! You can tell the mean is low quality. They are open late and I recommend call a head seating. We are from out of town visiting relatives so had to wait-we didn't know. Alcoholic drinks are $10+ but are unusual but fun. You can also cook mushrooms, pineapple slices and a few veggies or potatoes. We only had the Brussel sprouts which were fine and the pineapple. I don't like to see waste but all the table around us over-ordered and left many full plates of meats.

My daughter subjects me to all things Korean, so her affinity for all things Korean coupled with our foodie palettes, of course we had to try the relatively new KPOT in Laurel. We've visited several times now. We've tried their gyoza, fried chicken and of course, hot pot. I like my broth super spicy. There were so many spices to choose from to satisfy my need for heat! The meat selection was plentiful and fresh. We opted for pork belly, beef, octopus, calamari, shrimp, and lots of veggies. The style of this location is similar to most Hot Pot restaurants. You order everything you want on a tablet, and your waiter brings the items to you. As mentioned in the beginning, we've been several times. It's solid hot pot. Cheers!

THE PORTION SIZE! I never wanted to order to go . I always thought that if you did that instead of AYCE kbbq you'd be ripped off. Honestly happy with their bento boxes. Huge portions and great side dishes! Love the kimchi! Im always down for more fresh kimchi vs fermented. Honestly such a good deal for their togo bento boxes if you dont want to eat it in. This gives me two meals! Worth it! I do wish they offered the prime brisket as just a bento box without having to grab soup and a drink.

Went to dinner last night with friends and opted in both bbq and hot pot. The miso broth was really good and my go to protein for bbq is pork belly. Service was great, very attentive. I like how everyone decorated and dressed for Halloween.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here today. As always we all came home full and satisfied. Alll the meat and soup options were great. Kyle our main server was very attentive regarding our needs in our table.i am always satisfied whenever we eat here. Very good selections of meat and other seafood. The whole vibe is great. And they sang my husband a happy birthday song and gave him a free cheesecake! Overall the experience did not disappoint. Always fun to go here. Thank you Kyle for the great experience! Keep up the good work!

Love coming to this chain of restaurants. This is the closest one to me currently. Price has risen. $30.99 for dinner and weekend for either the hot pot or the bbq. Add $5 more to get both. Ordering is via a tablet. Just select what you want and the staff will bring it to your table. Selection of meats are great and very delicious for an AYCE. They also have a hot food bar which has fried chicken wings, French fries, and egg rolls. They have a sauce bar as well as do all hotpot's. For desert there are some fruits: oranges, leches, some sort of cake, and Hershey brand ice cream. Love coming here.

I asked for recommendations, although I knew I was going to get their infamous Lolipop Chicken. It lived up to the hype! While a tad pricey for one person, the portion is HUGE and I will have leftovers for days! The chicken was piping hot and flavorful. I also love noodles, and recently hand pulled noodles. You can literally hear them slapping around your noodles in the kitchen! I also ordered the spicy seafood soup, which was recommended. I liked the chicken a little more than the soup, but the soup was a large portion as well and very shareable. I washed my meal down with a Korean beer.

The service was quite good for a buffet - staff were pleasant and worked hard. The hot and sour soup was good. Tried the chicken and broccoli - the chicken was decent and the broccoli wasn't overcooked/mushy at all. The sushi selection is not extensive, but it looked fresh and there was salmon sashimi also available. The sashimi were small cube pieces that were good. Only negative was the steak. There was a side of beef where you could cut off pieces. We each took a small piece. Both of them were very, very tough and chewy. We couldn't eat them. Too bad, because the rest of the food was good. Although the steak was inedible, the ribs were quite good. My partner said the crab was quite good - not large, but well prepared and tasty. There was a warning sign by the oysters about worms being natural to oysters and might be present in the oyster. I didn't see any, but I ate two and then later saw the sign and didn't have any more. I made a reservation on August 11 for 13 people at 5:00 PM for a birthday dinner. Seven of us arrived at 4:45 PM and advised the restaurant that we only needed seating for 11. We were told we had to wait until everyone arrived before being seated, even though the restaurant was not crowded. Once seated, the service continued to be extremely disappointing. My daughter's Seafood Delight was missing the scallops, which arrived later. My nephew and niece did not receive their shrimp until we had completely finished eating and were packing up to leave. The most upsetting part was the birthday celebration. We were there specifically to celebrate a birthday, yet our table did not receive the birthday celebration. I asked our cook about it and was told we were only going to receive someone singing "Happy Birthday." Meanwhile, the party behind us received their birthday celebration. As we were leaving, another party received a birthday celebration. I spoke with the manager and explained what had happened. She admitted that we should have received the celebration but said there was nothing she could do about it. This was supposed to be a special family birthday dinner. Instead, members of our party received their food extremely late, part of an entrée was forgotten, and the birthday celebration we expected never happened. After all of the problems we experienced with our food and the missed birthday celebration, we were then presented with a check that was not accurate. We had to take additional time to review the bill and address the errors before we could leave. This was extremely frustrating because we had already experienced multiple problems throughout the meal, and the billing issue added another unnecessary problem to an already disappointing birthday dinner. Mistakes can happen in a restaurant, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. I hope Kabu management takes this complaint seriously and addresses the service issues that occurred that evening.

Do people stand up for national anthem at 12 even if they are in the middle of eating? Dad: "Yes" Me: "Does everyone stand up, or do some stay seated as they don't want their food to get cold or whatever?" Dad: "The employees stop working. Everyone except liberals stand up. They all face the flag waving on the TV until it is done. Many clap at the end of cheer." Me: "Oh wow, that's cool. So you do see some liberals stay seated?" Dad: "Just kidding on that." Me: "Oh and is it at every location? Like does Laurel, MD & all of them do it?" Dad: "All of them" Another time I arrived just before noon, which was nice as everyone stood up to put their hand on their heart while National Anthem is played. In 2024, my friend had a differing opinion from my dad on this noon National Anthem: Me: "Just missed National Anthem. My dad said Mission BBQ does at Noon everyday. I've never been right at noon." Him: "I would be pissed if I was in the middle of eating and had to stand up for national anthem." Me: "I hope I'm there one day so I can participate." Him: "Dealbreaker for an early lunch there for me." Me: "Liberals eat late. Conservatives eat first." Him: "Yeah they should have the conservatives eat at 11:30 and the libs eat at 12:30." Overall, I highly recommend Mission BBQ for the great food and friendly service.

An employee was being trained at the time, and the staff immediately let us know this upfront. I really appreciated that level of transparency because it prevents customers from wondering why someone might be unfamiliar with certain things. Once we were seated, our server Virginia was amazing. She came to our table right away and helped guide us through the menu with recommendations that worked perfectly for both me and my dining companion. I ordered the Texas Beef Brisket and Catfish Fingers with red-skinned mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, and a cornbread muffin. The food arrived quickly and everything was delicious. The cornbread muffin was melt-in-your-mouth good. My only small note is that the steamed broccoli was a little more cooked than I prefer -- I enjoy my broccoli with more crunch -- but that is purely a personal preference. One thing that really stood out to me was how well the staff worked together. Multiple servers checked on us and every interaction came with a smile and professionalism. The restaurant itself was also very clean and well maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. After paying our bill, we had the opportunity to speak with the manager, Leonie. I don't dine at barbecue chains very often since I try to watch my diet, but I was happy to find plenty of options that weren't overly greasy, fried, or smothered in sauce. The meats are slow-smoked, and a variety of house barbecue sauces are conveniently available at each table so you can customize the flavor to your liking. Parking is easy, with a large free lot behind the building as well as free street parking nearby. We visited on a Friday afternoon with a group of 10 and were seated together without any problem. They also accommodated separate checks, which is always appreciated for larger groups. The dining room has a comfortable, spacious feel with dark wood accents and nostalgic photos and posters decorating the walls. The menu offers a good variety of barbecue favorites, combination platters, salads, and lunch specials. One member of our group needed gluten-free options, and the staff helped her find a meal that worked well for her dietary needs. Most of us ordered the pulled pork sandwich, while others chose salads. We also shared the onion loaf appetizer, which disappeared quickly. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Our server was covering several tables, so service was a little slow at times, but she remained friendly, attentive, and handled our requests professionally. The portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the quality exceeded my expectations. I'd happily return with family to sample more of their smoked meats--especially the ribs.

Honestly I don't know if they just had a bad day or this is the norm but this may be the worst…read moreresturant food I've ever had. Price point is great but portions are small. The sides come in sauce or condiment size cups. The green beans and macaroni and cheese are decent. The collard greens? Terrible not a pinch of salt or pepper it's as if they forgot if they seasoned it and said whatever they'll be fine. Coleslaw not good just mayo and mustard nothing else. Mac and cheese is just boxed mac and cheese. The brisket was not only dry but also tasteless. The ribs were burnt to the crisp and slathered in bbq sauce. I had the most high hopes for this place as I've seen it for years but this was terrible
