The honey garlic and the honey butter are both good (a good combo on the sandwich too). Fries are always bomb. I think they would do well with a better bun and toppings but still a really good sandwich. A Laurel favorite and after church go-to. Grilled chicken and fried chicken wraps are also good. Food takes a little long... And service isn't the most friendly. Several tables to sit at and the place is clean but we always just eat in the car. (Who doesn't love a good car meal?) read more

My family and I visited this place on cinco de mayo, best smash burgers I've had, best chicken sandwiches, I think this is hand down my favorite restaurant. The service was amazing, they were super kind, and they helped us navigate the menu. They had a great selection of drinks and overall definitely a place I would be coming back too. read more

Peri Peri Original opened a new spot in Laurel so I had to try it. Although they've entered the raging chicken sandwich wars, I was craving their shrimp tacos and also got a shrimp rice bowl. The shrimp were grilled with just the right amount of char and topped a full soft shell taco with lettuce and some flavorful sauce. The shrimp rice bowl had the same shrimp on top of a bed of yellow long-grain rice with plenty of spices. Lots of flavor and we got some extra sauces on the side. My favorite was the lime mango. Glad to see new places popping up in Laurel! If you're nearby and craving some new flavors, give this place a try. The folks are very friendly and the food will fill you up! read more

Visited for lunch today and had a great experience. The cashier Nikhat was polite and attentive. I had the garlic chicken sandwich (medium/hot) and fries and like other reviews the fries were plentiful, hot and very good. I don't know what it was - I couldn't stop eating them. Peri Peri is located in the back of a strip mall but the inside was really clean and inviting. Everything on the menu sounds delicious but I decided on the Peri Chicken Wrap with a side of fries. The meal didn't stand a chance. It was really tasty and I ate all of the fries before I even made it back to the main road. I wish it was closer but it's probably best that it's not. There are so many items on the menu and I lowkey want to try them all. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area. read more

Ok the honey butter chicken sandwich was absolute perfection. So delicious. It was GIGANTIC!! Popeyes who? Come get this sandwich! As soon as I finished it I IMMEDIATELY wanted another, it was that good. The rice was ok. The flavor was a bit lacking for me, but still ok. Mango milkshakes? BOMB. Peri fries? BOMB. Service was super quick and easy. The place is in a little shopping center right on the corner of 198/route 1. I finally made it here after hearing people talking about it. I went on a Monday around lunch time, so it was empty, other than a Grubhub driver. I ordered the hot fried chicken sandwich. It comes with pickle and cole slaw on it, but I got mine without pickles. I waited about 10 minutes for the sandwich to come out. It was very good. It was hot, but not overly hot to where it's not enjoyable. It also came with two sauces on the side. One was a hot sauce, and the other was some kind of white sauce. Both were tasty. I used them as dips rather than pouring them on the sandwich. The bun was fantastic. I think it was brioche? My only complaint is that one some parts of the chicken, there was a bit too much breading. Other than that, it was delicious. I'm going back to try the honey butter one. After reading the raves about the sandwiches here, I figured we would check them out. The honey garlic and Nashville Hot were awesome. Excellent portion size and the sides (fries, wedges and salads) were refreshing even though you can get them anywhere. I usually get bored with fries but not these. Great side salads and fresh. We didn't have to pick out any brown greens! We used Uber Eats so can't comment about staff or the physical place but it was one of the rare times food was delivered hot. read more

I took a couple of my co-workers here because we were all in the mood for gyros. I warned them that the man that takes your orders isn't very friendly. In fact the last time I was there with another co-worker of mine she felt compelled to say something to him about his attitude. it didn't do any good because today he was still the same. Unfriendly and uninviting. It's a great shame, too, because the food is really good! The two co-workers I took there today loved the gyros and the onion rings. The prices are reason for what you get. I would eat here everyday if I worked closer and service was friendlier. Did not surprise me that they had very few customers. I hope he wises up so they don't go out of business. This is a new halal restaurant that opened up recently- when I spoke the the young lady at the register she said they were open for about 3 weeks at the time of this review. I placed my order over the phone for a Buffalo, honey garlic and spicy chicken sandwich. I had asked for no coleslaw on the spicy chicken sandwich and what additional sauces were used on the sandwich and she said hot sauce, which was fine. The order was ready by the time I arrived and I had no issues picking it up. Parking at the shopping center was a little congested due to the other busy shops. However, when I got home I noticed that crispy chicken sandwich had a mayonnaise based hot sauce not your stereotypical franks red or the type. Unfortunately the person who was eating the sandwich is allergic to eggs so I had to call them for a replacement sandwich. The young lady was kind and apologized for ether miscommunication and readily offered to replace our sandwich at no additional cost. The chicken sandwich itself is a gigantic portion, it can almost be eaten in two settings. The patty was well seasoned however I will say that it was a bit over cooked and it was noticeable in the taste of the breading. The peri fries also had very little peri seasoning. Overall, I would definitely return and try their other menu items such as wraps or whole chicken. The customer service was excellent and I was extremely satisfied with the way they handled the situation. I would just be mindful that they use mayonnaise as a base for their sauces. read more

I finally came up to the new laurel location and it was pretty empty. Service was great and fast. The food not so much, the 1/2 chicken was pretty dry. Chicken sandwich was mediocre. The sauces weren't enticing. Always a good idea to have bottles of sauce customers, not little dabs of sauce in little cups . On top of that the prices are pretty steep for the servings. Decided to try this place out. Ordered the gyro, half chicken, spicy rice and mixed salad through DoorDash (pickup). Food was ready to pickup on time and customer service was great. I was impressed by the packaging of the food. Very organized and sealed tight. Unfortunately the issue was the actual food. Though it looked delicious, the spicy rice and half chicken had a bad freezer taste. The spicy rice smelled like a freezer too. Not sure how they store their food but that's something they may need to fix. The Gyro saved the day, and was pretty decent. Could have been a bad day - and I know they just opened for business recently. I'll try them again in another few months. read more

Yesterday was a day I will remember. I listened to the good intentions of my heart and decided to treat myself to a honey garlic chicken sandwich with peri peri fries on the side. Not once did I consider in my backyard, there would be a new contender for best chicken Sandwich. I walked into this restaurant and ordered my sandwich with the highest level of spice. The sandwich was perfection, fried goodness. 8 minutes later my tastebuds were defeated by a massive chicken sandwich (no antibiotics), between a bun. The honey garlic sauce, reminded me of honey butter laden on a fresh out of the oven biscuit down south. I used the bun which by the way held the weight of the chicken effortlessly to sop the honey sauce residue. Moistness, don't even question it. Don't sweat the technique! The moistness of the buttermilk battered chicken only added to the five star review. Lastly the peri peri fries were delicious. The seasoning has a refined flavor, which made the fries memorable. After hearing some positive feedback about Peri Peri, my sister and I decided to drop by and try their chicken sandwiches. The location is a bit hidden but not too hard to find. Very clean and roomy inside. We both ended up ordering the honey garlic sandwich (hot) with a side of peri peri fries. There aren't many drink options that fit my taste, though they do have a cooler/fridge with some sodas and offer several milkshake flavors. The sandwiches were crispy, juicy, and had the right amount of sauce. Would've been great with some pickle slices. I'm sure they would have provided that if I had asked (I believe some of the other sandwiches may come with pickles). The bun was a good size and texture. There was a white sauce that I dipped the sandwich into which added to the flavor. The fries were yummy, cut semi thick, freshly hot and crispy on the outside, sprinkled with peri peri seasoning. Tasted nice with the white sauce and ketchup. My sister and I both left feeling full, with thoughts of coming back sometime to try another sandwich flavor. read more

I heard about this place on tik tok so me and my cousins went to check it out. When we went the location was still fairly new. The atmosphere was amazing. We went around 7:00 and it started to get a little busy around 7:45. We got the Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich, the Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich (Mild), Peri Peri Fries, some Oreo milkshakes, and some fountain drinks. I was expecting a little kick in the fried chicken sandwich but it wasn't even spicy at all. If spice is not a serious issue for you then I would just go ahead and order the hot. The sandwich was a nice and crispy. The breading didn't overpower the chicken itself. The Peri Peri Fries did not have as much seasoning as I would expect. The milkshakes were delicious. You can order the food by itself or add a side and make it a combo. The combo didn't come with a drink. I did however added a drink which brought my total to approximately $15. That just seams a little on the expensive side for a sandwich, fries and drink. The server was nice and checked on us to see how we were doing. Although it was a little costly, I would go back! The place was clean. I loved the decor. I had the shrimp tacos. My husband had the peri peri chicken. We both enjoyed it.

I wasn't expecting too much when going here, but when we took our food home and had the first bite I was amazed by the perfection of the chicken, buns, pickles, and everything. I personally think that this is the best burger in the DMV. I haven't tried their other choices like tacos, but by the looks of the burgers, I would think they would be good as well.
