I already have great-looking skin, but Vivian made it even more soft and beautiful. I got the basic facial, but she provides upgrades for a very reasonable added price. The basic facial takes around an hour. Vivian pulled all the stops during my facial today: cleanse, exfoliate, extraction, massage, tone and moisturize. She even added in a lip treatment and short shoulder rub with a mint/eucalyptus product. It's hard to decide which part was my favorite... it was all so rejuvenating. The parts I enjoyed the most were the exfoliation part and the mud mask. The exfoliation scrub was extremely gentle on my skin-- much different to the standard salt or sugar scrubs you buy on the market. The mud mask (hydration) was also great. That's when she massaged my arms with warm lotion and rubbed the mint/eucalyptus product on my neck and shoulders. The extraction was uncomfortable at times but never painful. And it was surprising how much the eucalyptus/mint product cooled my neck and back! She asked me if I was cold and offered to turn on the heater if I was too chilly. It seems she just moved from San Jose to San Francisco. She has a location on Polk Street in the back of a hair salon (New Beauty Hair Salon). She plays soothing music during the facial and talks in relaxing tones. From beginning to end Vivian was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. During my facial, she asked me about my personal skincare routine and suggested products or treatments that would help my personal concerns.
