Cheese corn dog is massive!!! Sooo much cheese inside and the batter is pretty thick too. K BBQ Bowl seems a bit small but I guess okay for the price (probably won't fill you up if you just eat 1 bowl). Meat to rice ratio was surprisingly good, I wouldn't mind more veggies too! Like another review said, I added kimchi when I got home. Would be nice if the bowl came with kimchi! Also, I selected "very hot" but didn't find it hot at all. The sauce (I think on the bbq meat) was very sweet. Overall I think the place isn't too bad, I'd like go try the KFC next time!

Food is good and very affordable. Will get you full and tastes good enough. Nothing fantastic tho. Some chicken bits were dry some were actually juicy. The corn dog was great. I've had them in street markets in Seoul (Korea) several times already these past few years and this tasted so similar if not the same. Pretty authentic if you ask me. Service was great. Servers were nice and fast to whip up orders. Ambiance is just ok! Nothing great. It's clean and accessible. Would go back! :)

korean bbq bowl (L) w dumplings

I was pretty hungry and it was too late for me to cook, so I sauntered to Uber Eats and Hankki caught my eye. The serving size was perfect. The bowl wasn't filled to the top but I was full by the end. The rice to meat ratio was decent, and the lettuce added a delicious fresh bite. Without the dumplings this may not have been the most filling - but still a good portion. I ordered light spicy and it was still pretty spicy! Make sure to mix the sauce otherwise you'll get some hot mouthfuls. Since I ordered through the app I can't speak to the service or ambiance. However, this travelled really well and looked gorgeous when I opened it!

Massive Korean corn dogs! We got the mozzarella cheese corndog, a good vegetarian option! I forgot to take a picture of the Korean fried chicken bites but were delicious too!

Got this via uber. Yummy and filling. Price was decent too. These are bigger than how the photo shos them.

Hot Bop with Pork + Honey Butter Seasoned Fries

Ordered delivery from Hankki because I wanted to eat something "different" tonight. Hankki does Korean street food. Tonight I tried the Hot Bop with sweet and spicy pork which came in a bowl with rice, lettuce, and pickled veggies. It was very good and well portioned! I had the option to choose spicy level and I went with medium spicy and it was just right for me! I also got an order of the honey butter seasoned fries which were not like any fries I've had. They were crisp and flavorful. Overall, a solid to meal that travelled well for take-out. With delivery fees it got a little pricey, but probably still worth it.

So far so good. I have only had a corn dog from them but it was very very good. I think my corn dog was called the Ugly dog? I had french fries around the batter. I accidentally ordered the sweet sauce. I actually regret doing it...the sugar around the hot dog is too much. I would definitely choose a different flavour next time. I've had Korean hot dogs before in Toronto and was so sad to move because I didn't know if Calgary would sell this. So glad Hannki opened up. Their prices are also very reasonable. Mine was around $5.50 and it tastes just as good as my favorite place in TO. I haven't tried anything else yet. However, I will definitely come back for my Korean Hot Dog fix. It's quite interesting that it's by Tubby Dogs. This place will give them a run for their money. :)

    # 3 bulgogi chicken

If you come to Banff stop by and grab some food from this mom and pop shop. We went there twice. Got Food to go and service was fast and food was delicious. Fav. #1 Korean bbq We also tried the # 3 & #7 Comes with pot sticker that was so delicious. Street parking only but located across washroom so easily walk over.

Great atmosphere it feels really cozy especially in the winter. I came here after school and the food just hits the spot when your hungry. I bought the corn dog and fries and shared with friends. It was mouth watering good. Will recommend if you love Korean style foods. And don't forget to bring friends.

    Korean chicken bowls

These bowls were amazing! I was starving and could smell the chicken from the other side of the building. Highly recommend!!

The exterior of the building appears that it is situated in an old house, which definitely adds to the charm. The staff greeted me an led me to a table on the upper floor. Immediately, I noticed that most parties in here were large and the portions were family style. Definitely something that I wish I had brought friends to and not just come in as a solo diner. However, the staff did not make me feel weird about this at all. I ordered a Lychee Time cocktail and a Rose Rice Cake curry. They brought out an included kimchee plate, which was certainly enough for 4 people. The Rose Rice Cake dish was the same, enough for 2-4 people to share. Both the kimchi and the curry were amazing, I enjoyed both immesely. My only complaint was that my drink was far too sweet, I had to water it down to finish it. When it came time for my inevitable leftovers, the staff had great suggestions for reheating and I was even able to purchase udon to go for the leftovers. Amazing homey experience that I would recommend to anyone in town (preferably with friends!).

My craving must have been intense because I didn't even think about it and started my long walk there. The layout of the restaurant is interesting. The bathroom is in the basement, the first floor is a bit small but has some tables, and the second floor has most of the dining area space. Interior decoration was pretty minimal but there was kpop playing and it was a bit dark in there so if you're looking to get a few drinks and Korean food with some friends, this would be a great spot. When I was sat at my table and I looked through the menu, the first thing that popped in my head was that they had quite an extensive menu. From army stew, bibimbap, bulgogi, and what I decided to get Dakgalbi (marinated chicken bbq). The Dakgalbi was really good and marinated well. I wasn't expecting the fried rice at the end to come with it like in Korea which was also really good. The only critique I have regarding the food is that there weren't that many side dishes (banchan) and the lettuce on the side was an extra $5. Service was on point. Thu and the woman server, I forgot her name, worked well as a team to make sure everyone was taken care of even though they had to walk up and down those stairs probably 10+ times just when I was there.

The inside is also rather small, they seat maybe 7 tables each with 2-4 people per table. There's tons of traditional Korean decorations everywhere. The staff is also all Korean and greet you in Korean. There's unlimited high quality purple bean rice. The sides are nothing to write home about other than the macaroni salad. They had an interesting take on it by adding imitation crab - I'm not sure I liked that part. Otherwise it's similar to the chain BCD tofu. The ever popular seafood pajeon (a pancake-like dish) is made extremely thick and therefore isn't crispy at all like pajeon normally is. I don't really recommend this item. Interestingly there's a bulgogi dish with vegetables and noodles (thin, clear). Makes the dish much more hearty. The flavor and quality was pretty good. Seafood tofu soup. They do a great job of making it spicy if you ask. The flavoring has that umami feel. Overall, not overwhelmingly amazing. A bit on the pricey side. They do have a very wide range of menu items and some pretty authentic items that aren't normally regularly provided in Korean restaurants. Service is fine - didn't meet anyone rude or anyone particularly amazing either.

There restaurant is split into two section - the ground floor which has the kbbq and the rooftop (oktop) which has some additional menu items. Both sections were nicely decorated and prepared with side dishes ready at the table upon entering. We ordered the kongbul which was served with broth, and it was the perfect amount for the 2 of us. Although the kongbul was delicious on its own, the highlight of the meal were actually the side dishes - they were some of the tastiest side dishes I've ever had at a Korean restaurant. Each was full of flavour and fresh, and tasted home-cooked. Our server was friendly and attentive and was quick to refill our side-dishes and waters. One of the servers also gave us some japchae (as service) which was such a pleasant surprise and was soo tasty! Fingers crossed Korilla will expand to Toronto!
