I have been receiving treatment by Dr. Hank and the staff at the chiropractic center for dizziness, Vertigo, pain in my lower back and stiff neck. I started seeing Dr. Hanks in April of 2023. I used to feel tension in my mid back often with a need to pop it 10-20 times daily and my neck used to become very sore, sometimes stiff where I couldn't turn it properly. After a few weeks both of these issues were nearly fully resolved. Pain did not deliver me to Hanks Chiropractic several years ago. Rather numbness did, after progressing from my right little finger up the heel of my palm past my wrist. That first visit included X-rays and a consultation on the condition of my entire spine as well as treatment for the numbness described earlier. I recall Dr Hanks informing me that he could not fix the arthritis in the cervical section of my spine, but could remedy the numbness. He did. Dr Hanks convinced me that during that first visit I needed to make chiropractic care a regular part of my health regimen and I have been getting treatment from him and his associate, Dr Hobbs, since. They have treated a variety of problems and helped me maintain the overall health of my spine. Probably the most serious problem requiring Dr Hanks involved my lumbar region. Thirty years of pounding around volleyball courts had finally taken their toll. While an MRI revealed a disc compression, the radiologist missed the synovial cyst at L4-L5. Pressure from the cyst on my spinal cord caused the nearly excruciating pain radiating down my left leg to my knee. Dr Hanks correctly diagnosed the cyst while examining the MRI and suggested that decompression therapy might provide relief. It did. My regular visits have become immensely important in maintaining my spinal health and, I believe, keeping me off the surgical table. When he realized that I needed more than the 2 standard X-Rays, he didn't even charge me for the extra ones because he knew my insurance wouldn't pay and that I couldn't afford them. Dr. Hanks has been my chiropractor for almost a year. I went in because I hurt myself at the gym and was hoping he could fix it. However, with x-rays he showed me with X-rays where my back I was actually crooked! He asked me if I had a serious injury about two years ago. I had actually been in a very serious car accident two years prior to that visit. Since then he has corrected my back and has helped my neck pain due to my job. His ENTIRE staff is friendly and they have never treated me like a number. Sometimes my two youngest girls have to come with me. They are the ages two and four. I have been a patient of Dr Hanks for years and a friend much longer since we both went to school and grew up in Lake Highlands. He has built a practice that no one in the area can match. His style of FULL SPINE adjustment from the top of your head to your toes is the only way to go. Recently I hurt my back by simply picking up a large flower pot. Then after seeing by family doctor, getting 2 shots I still lost 2 days of work before going in to see him. After confirming my problem with x-rays & a thorough update on my current medical status, he adjusted my WHOLE SPINE and was remarkably better within 24hrs and after my second adjustment the next day, I was able to go back to work the following week without any problems. I wish I could give Dr. Hanks and his staff a million stars! Dr. Hanks is hands down the absolute best chiropractor EVER. My husband has been going to see him for years, though I just started a few months ago myself. Unlike other doctors, he'll never try to sell you products or services that you truly don't need, always lets you know what's going on during your adjustment, is extremely thorough, and has a tendency to throw in complementary services just because he's that awesome. My husband and I both have desk jobs (he's an attorney, I'm a paralegal), and sit in front of a computer way more than we should during the week. That said, he and I both have something called "forward head syndrome". I used to get terrible tension headaches on a daily basis, and was even starting to experience numbness in my hands and lower back (for only being 23 years old, that's rather scary!). After receiving adjustments from Dr. Hanks for only a few months, the numbness is completely gone, and my headaches occur less than once a week now if even that! Additionally, Dr. Hanks took them time to teach us better habits regarding where and how we hold our heads, and what we can do to help put the proper curve back in our spine. His outstanding service and treatment shows just how much he really cares about his patients. On a side note, Dr. Hanks also happens to be one of the most upstanding, honest, ethical and genuine men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and knowing. I Was suffering from a pinched sciatic nerve. I had been to my physician and was given pain medicine and exercises to do. After about 6 weeks I was still in a lot of pain and it was extremely painful to walk. I had never been to a chiropractor but decided to give Dr. Hanks a try. After an excellent and thorough consultation, I decided to give it a try. After about 3 weeks the pain from the pinched nerve was gone. I have ongoing lower back issues but after about 5 weeks I have noticed definite improvement. An additional side effect has been that a numbness I have had for several years in my feet has actually subsided. I wished I had tried a chiropractor earlier. I can't say enough about my experience here. I've had lower back pain since my late 20's, and when it would act up I would rest for a few days, maybe go see my family chiropractor to get adjusted and be fine. After having my daughter I started experiencing pain for longer periods of time.
