i ordered a patriots themed cake, but they only gave me a patriots ring at the bakery. Very disappointed

Near as I can figure, there are probably only about....3 Hannafords nearby that carry the Glacier water refill stations I require to refill my 5 gallon jugs. Upon this most unprecedented day, my usual Hannaford in Hudson inexplicably had a Glacier machine that wasn't turned on. As in....it was plugged in...but not turned on. This wasn't the first time I ran into a busted ass machine at the Hudson location. Therefore, it was time for me to finally seek out other options. After scouring the four corners of the Internet, I came across two more Hannafords that have this water machine: one in Londonderry and this location. So, as if it wasn't pretty obvious by now, the only reason I came to this store was to get water. That being said, there's a few things about this location's water machine which make it superior to the one in Hudson. First thing I noticed were the written signs posted on the machine. In short, they basically advise customers that this machine only fills 1 and 5 gallon jugs. This is important since the water jugs Hannaford actually SELLS are 4 gallon jugs. Which means if you have one of these 4 gallon jugs and want to refill using this machine, you have to do it one gallon at a time. With that caveat out of the way, we can mention the second thing I love about this machine. Not only is the compartment you place the bottle in the precise size for a five gallon jug; it also has a see-thru door that contains any splash back from the water spout. The Hudson location does not have this. It's kinda cool because it means I don't need to line up the nozzle of the water jug with the spout like I have to at Hudson. A small detail, to be sure. But ya know what they say: every little bit helps. Although I didn't actually "shop" at this store per se, I did take a quick look at the floor layout and it felt cleaner than most other Hannafords I've been to. It's tough to explain, but it simply didn't feel as cluttered as some stores. Hannaford in Bedford gets 5 jugs filled with sparkling clean water out of 5. read more

I walked up to the deli, and behind the counter was a female with a ponytail and a hat. Someone I've never seen before. Her back was towards me. I waited a minute, then said hello. The worker gave me one of those "what do you want' type looks. Right off the bat, I knew trouble was pending. I told her what I wanted. It was a non-standard ham. She immediately grabbed a ham, when all others had to look for it. Please slice it thin. She started to slice, never showed me the thickness then 'threw' the slices on the scale, it made a noise. She sliced more, same results. I never saw the weight before she wrapped it. That is not what I wanted. You don't want it? No! As I walked away, I told her to get her attitude readjusted. I am going to report you. I did. She still works in the deli. I no longer buy my deli meats here. Management should have moved this bad attitude employee to where she doesn't interact with customers. Shame on Hannaford management. Not all employees are this rude. I asked an employee (Cindy, blonde, glasses) who was filling orders where the brown sugar was. This nice and helpful person personally showed me where the sugar was and gave me a good suggestion. Thank You, Cindy! read more

I love Hannafords. It's my favorite store. I didn't know whether to rate it 5 stars or 1 star, due to the attitude of ONE employee, Francesca who was bagging. I forgot to put the partition stick in between myself and the customer ahead of me. In a voice dripping with sarcasm Francesca says, "This is why we have sticks." I apologized sincerely because some items got confused. I was also saving a spot for the woman behind me because she forgot something. She got back and thanked me. Jokingly I say, "See, some people like me." As I'm walking away and directly after I said that and directly next to me , Francesca says to the bagger next to her while laughing.... "I have no idea why. " I forgot the partition stick. People make mistakes. But mocking condescension and insults are intentional. Francesca, I'll Cee U Next Tuesday. read more

For a medium-sized footprint this is a well managed store. The management team keeps the shelves stocked and I rarely wait more than a minute or two to check out. The relatively small size, when compared to huge supermarkets, gets me in and out in short order. Recommended! read more

This store has gone downhill real quick and yes it starts with management which is like a ghost here how can the surrounding hannaford store do well and have no empty shelf's. Have baggers that don't chit chat amongst each other while customers wait to have there groceries bagged. Shame on Bedford for not stepping up to the plate. MaybeBedford needs a Hugh change of the Gaurd otherwise you will have customers travel to the other local hannafords and yes Bedford will suffer. read more

If I didn't have to give it any stars I wouldn't! Awful customer service. The lady scanning my food was coughing on her hands then scanning my food, we're talking ​fresh fruit and veggies!! Then continued to scan my food and tosses the food carelessly.. I also had a family size hamburger meat with a 2$ coupon on it, so as she scanned it I noticed the lady did not take the $2 off so I informed her that she didn't use the coupon she continued to tell me she did with attitude so the bagger decided to take a look and inform the lady no you infact did not.. so​if it wasn't for the bagger then the lady wouldn't have taken it off very rude customer service. This Hannaford has a huge Cafe area that is perfect for lunch or picking up something to go after grocery shopping. There is something for everyone including a hot bar, taco/burrito station, pizza by the slice, subs/salad/sandwich counter, sushi or bento boxes, and lastly a stir fry bar. Most items are made to order however they do have an area with ready made salads, sandwiches, fresh fruit and snacks too. Whatever your dietary restrictions or preferences may be there will be an option for you here, dairy free, gluten free, paleo, vegetarian, vegan, etc. FYI for the peanut allergies, the stir fry bar does use peanut oil. The staff in the cafe area seem to love their job and never give you a hard time about personalizing your order. read more

Nothing really special, prices are higher than any other store in the area, no salad bar but decent produce if you have the money. Cashiers seem condensing and rude. Decent place to hit during the holidays for a single item, almost never have lines or waits. read more

Hannaford Supermarket reopened its second Bedford store inside the former Super Stop & Shop at the corner of Kilton Rd and South River Rd, moving a half mile south of its previous location. This is the now the largest Hannaford in New Hampshire, dwarfing their other Bedford location on NH 101. The management team & staff at this store all have New Hampshire roots, as featured on several signs throughout the store. The store is very spacious and clean offering a good selection of the standard groceries, frozen foods, dairy, fresh produce, organic foods, butcher, fresh seafood (lobster tank), deli, flowers, pharmacy (with drive thru), wine, and beer (walk-in brew cooler). This store also offers Hannaford Kitchen which features freshly prepared and made to order food to go at several stations including coffee bar, bakery, rotisserie chicken, fried chicken, homestyle hot foods bar ($7.49/lb), stir fry station, sushi, fresh sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, fresh made salads, and baked pizza (whole pie & slices), ready in 10 minutes. Most stations are open 10AM-7PM, hot & cold drinks offered 7AM-7PM. The prepared foods selection is not as impressive as Wegmans and the hot foods bar at Whole Foods is larger and pricier, but very similar to the prepared foods selection at Market Basket, Market 32 (Price Chopper) and Shop Rite. However, this Hannaford store is more impressive than their other area locations. The prices here are competitive to other nearby supermarkets including Market Basket, Walmart Supercenter, and Shaw's. Their pharmacy consistently doesn't provide good estimates of time that your prescription will be ready. I waste time nearly every single time here waiting in line and then being told my prescription will take 30 mins more. I come back and it's not done. Sometimes this happens multiple times. I live 20 mins away which means I'm not only wasting my time but also have to spend even more gas money. I only picked this pharmacy because I thought I could save a stop by doing my grocery shopping here. They need to hire more pharmacy staff because they clearly can't handle the volume right now. read more

So ive been going here for a while now .. For some reason ( recently)when i get beer as well as my food they tell me i have to take my mask off (MY MASK OFF MY FACE ) to sell me alcohol and they were rude to me when i said that made me uncomfortable due to covid-19. But yet for over a month its been no problem( MASK ON AND ALL)....i think this company really needs to rethink how they do things ..me being WELL over the drinking age. I didn't appreciate an assistant manager making me feel like im the bad guy because i didn't feel comfortable takin off my mask even though 2 local children who may or may not go to this hannaford just tested positive for covid-19 ..i think ill take my buisness elsewhere ...somewhere that knows better than to ask their own customers to take off their masks. This Hannaford location is always a little pricey. The store is dated and the cleanliness leave a lot to be desired. I recently tried Hannaford to go with this location, not once, not twice but three times and every time I was missing a quarter of the groceries I ordered and paid for. It's completely my fault for returning the second and third time. Life gets busy and Hannaford to go is quick. However, if you want everything you paid for I'd suggest going to another location. read more

Ok so it's Wednesday 5pm. The place is mobbed. They have about 8 self-check out registers and they all have big lines. There are only 2 registers with cashiers and there are huge lines on those 2 registers and everyone's shopping cart is piled to the top! The place is obviously busy as hell so they are making money hand over fist but yet they only hire 2 cashiers on the payroll! Why don't they put more cashiers on or at least pay them more so they can have help? ... this place is always mobbed so it's highly unlikely they can't afford a couple more cashiers.... What a nice store. Just one problem: you have the same primitive management practices as at the rest of the stores. Today at 5:10 I walked up to the express lane (14 or fewer items) with five (5) items and there was a customer with over forty items getting checked out. So I asked the person, "Oh, are we having trouble counting today?," and the cashier ("Kassidy") chimed in, "I said it was OK." Who on God's green earth are these cashiers to inconvenience those of us following the rules because they are afraid to offend the entitlement crowd, allowing them to break rules because they feel are too important to wait in other lines with other large orders. This is what is wrong with this country! Some are allowed to break rules at the expense of others. You not only acquiesce to the behavior; you encourage it! It's back to Market Basket for me.
