You can adjust the ice and sugar levels to taste, more than just the regular or light options offered most other places. The young lady behind the counter was patient as we kept asking what was that one and that one and... I'm not going to lie, it was torture to smell those donuts in the car on the drive home! I've been back again and again for of a few reasons. First of all, the donuts were delicious. Moist and chewy, with a good recipe. You can tell when places cut corners or use cheap ingredients. The icing is perfect and the fillings are good. I think they have the best cream filling I've ever had. The staff have always been good to us, too. I appreciate the half off dozens but frankly don't mind paying full price for anything as long as the quality is there. All those pretty little donuts on display in the shop takes me back and I can't wait to sneak away on a Saturday morning with my newest granddaughter for a couple of glazed and some milk and to spend an hour or so enjoying the simple things.

But once you get to the front of the line, the service is always friendly. But the art is amazing. All the hand-drawn pictures to go with the sundaes and the creative sundae names and toppings/mix-ins. Some of the sundaes are the same ones they served 30 years ago, others are new. The portions are huge. If I recall correctly, for a large cone they take it all the way down to the bottom of the machine (although I've never ordered one myself!) The cake sundaes are quart size. I usually go with a small or junior sundae and it's plenty. It's my go-to stop on the way home from Centennial Quarry in the summer, and one of the places that I take friends from out of town to give them a taste of Toledo culture. Lemon berry was really good. Enjoy that tiny tart kick from the lemon. Chicken pesto wasn't my favorite. Which I was sad bc I love pesto. But gotta say was didn't enjoy the pesto and there was a lot of it. Loved both the tacos. They melt the cheese onto the shell and that was delicious. The second time I went I got the sweet potato tacos and really liked it. Great flavor and sweet.
