The bowl came with a few slivers of hainan chicken, 3 thin cuts of bbq pork, 2 fish balls cut in half, 1 meatball cut in 4ths and 2 shrimps. For those of us who miss the days of Tung Kee Noodle, Hanoi Chicken Noodle is the spot to go. I always get the shredded chicken with egg noodle and it gives me the nostalgia of the TK noodle days and the portions are huge. It's enough to split with my son and he will also enjoy a plate of salt and pepper popcorn chicken. There's always plenty of seating and food comes out quick which is nice. Lemongrass pork chop with rice: Lemongrass flavor isn't too strong which I like and the pieces are pretty big. The order is basically two meals worth. Hainanese Chicken with rice: Standard shredded chicken, nothing too crazy. The highlight is the ginger-scallion sauce on the side for dipping (I could use another tray of it, it's that good) Each order came with a bowl of chicken broth and a side of veggies. The broth was so soothing, savory, and rich. Not sure if this is the same broth used with their noodle dishes but it's delicious. As for the veggies, I wish they gave a bit more than 4 stalks. This is a cool little spot! It's a nice alternative to like a pho spot. If you're not in the mood for Pho but still want like a noodle soup spot, I recommend this place. It's got decent value, but some of those sugar cane drinks are a bit pricey. They also have some good rice plates if you're not into the noodle soups. Good variety, chicken wings were good too. I'm not a huge fan of paying first and then finding an open table. I do like to be seated and serviced. I understand the concept, but if you have to do all this yourself, they should charge just a little less. When we bit into it, the juice was literally dripping out *cries*. I also highly recommend eating it with an extra sprinkle of pepper! The service here is super efficient.
