However, after a long vacation of not so great food all I wanted was a burger. I am not going to comment on the music or decor (besides saying it was terrible) as I am not the target demographic. But I will comment on the service. Our server was horrible. I think she might have been from America because she spoke with an American accent. Right after we ordered she went behind the bar and started whispering with her friend and rolling her eyes while looking over at our table. However, whenever she came to the table she was smiley and fake and tried to make conversation. When we first ordered two diet cokes and a ginger ale, she brought two ginger ales and a diet coke. She semi-apologized as though she had realized her mistake before getting to the table but since the had already opened the bottles, we decided not to complain. We all ordered burgers. They were alright in that I didn't get food poisoning but they were very bland. I probably would have gotten a better burger if I had gone to McDonald's or Burger King if that tells you anything. At the end of the meal, my mom ordered a water. Instead of bringing tap water, the server brought bottled water. This would have been a minor annoyance as tap water is free while you pay for bottled water. However, again she opened the bottle before coming to the table and she brought 2 bottles instead of one. At this point I was irritated and beyond giving her the benefit of the doubt. We paid for our mediocre meal and incorrect drink orders and left as quickly as possible to escape the horrible music.

We ordered a Flammkuchen and nachos with guacamole to share and both were pretty tasty. The Flammkuchen was light and crispy, and the nachos had a good seasoning on them. Only thing is that they weren't really "nachos" but rather just chips. In my view, nachos have to have something on them like cheese or salsa... but these were literally just a bowl of chips. The service was good and friendly enough. All in all, a pretty good find for the Altstadt in Heidelberg!

I sat at a tiny table for 2 persons with my boyfriend and it was okay to drink our beverages and to eat a slice of cake. Nevertheless, we occasionally wanted to check for some flights&hotels, but we had no space for our laptop. But that was ok after we found out that there wasn't the free WiFi that is described here. Also the pricing was a bit higher than usually, but maybe because of the higher costs they have to pay in this beautiful city, Heidelberg. PS: the Chili Chocolate is fire.
