Even though I never asked for anything, they found my number and keep spam calling my number which is on the Do Not Call list. They've tried at least a dozen times in the last month. Twice I actually answered and screamed "STOP CALLING!" Other times I ignored it. I reported them to FTC. I now see multiple 616 (Holland MI) area code numbers showing up below the 1800Hansons #. So if you block one number another one will call because the 616 numbers are not "1800hansons." Scum. If hansons is reading this, you really know how to make your business fail by word of mouth, it just can't happen too fast. Have fun declaring bankruptcy. read more

If there was less than 1star they definitely would get it. Got several windows replaced last year because they would no longer open. had to have them come back several times because the sizing was incorrect. One of the windows came cracked, and now that we are into the winter months there is a draft coming from every single window. called several times last year when they were installed and just kept getting the runaround. No one from the company has been helpful in resolving anything. They spoke to me all day, passing me around through phone calls. The lower customer care reps were a lot nicer than management though. They spoke to me belittling & not doing anything to resolve my frustrations or concerns. The one installer here told me he is only contracted through Hansons, & works for two other roofing companies. He was nicer than the majority of the actual Hanson employees I spoke to. He helped me resolve the situation to a degree, but no one from the company offered any resolutions or reconciliation. I'm in the process of getting my sheds roof replaced. I was initially scheduled for service on Monday, June 19th & could expect the crew to arrive between 8-12. I woke up to my Ring Doorbell going off around 7am. A crew of about 5 men were there, & the supervisor was wearing grills on his upper teeth. This all immediately gave me red flags, wondering why the company is representing themselves like this during service after sending a very well-dressed, on time sales rep to my house prior? He asked me about the dumpster & materials not being there & told him I have no idea. He said he'd call his boss & see what's going on; that they have another job to go do but they might be able to come back the same day if its still supposed to be delivered today. Or if not, that they could come back out over the weekend to do it; that it would only be a 2-3 hour job. I go back in my house while he figures that out with his supervisor, & they drove off with no communication. I eventually get a call from a scheduling person & was told that materials should be delivered on Wednesday, the 21st but since its a third-party delivery that they dont always have accurate delivery times. Mind you, when I was called to schedule & asked what's the soonest date they're available for install, I was told the only time frame she could give me was that it'd be the following week, & someone would reach back out. I told them on the phone today how inconvenient that was, & was told, "You know you don't have to be there for install, right?" When I'm being quoted $6.2k+ (for a shed roof that's less than 5 squares of materials), I want to be home to watch the strangers in my yard do the proper job & be able to take pictures along the way if necessary. Luckily, I did because this whole experience gets worse. It's now Wednesday morning, & I hear my ring motion notification going off alot. I see someone walking around the now dropped off dumpster in my driveway & throw myself together to see why someone is creeping around my yard. I go outside & theres one man with his van parked out front. He asked me about my service but asked me if I booked through a different company. I asked, do you mean Hansons? & tell him that the materials havent been dropped off yet. He said he'd call his boss & see what's going on, but that he may be able to get started. He eventually set up his ladder in the backyard & proceeded to lean on the ladder, scroll on his phone, & hit a weed pen. (I know the difference between a nicotine & a weed pen. I don't judge him too harshly, but I think it's very unprofessional) Materials eventually got delivered & once the roofs underlayment was exposed, I could see rotten wood. I stopped him when nailing plywood down & called the company on why materials are not here for those rotten spots that need replacing; & was told that they don't do that. No remedy for the situation. He pulled off the drip edge & the rotten wood became 100x worse. The installer said he'd fix it on the side b/c they werent getting back in touch. I kept calling & they said theyll reach out to him and he'll fix it because it is very damaged now. He said hed be back "at 8-8:30, maybe". & left materials in my front yard that I moved around back to not get stolen. + I noticed the wood was bowed. I look online and see there's a 40% off Summer Special that I was not offered to begin with , or even as reconciliation for how awful this experience has been. read more

Our appointment with Brad Case was on 4/22. Brad was very friendly and really good at convincing us that Hanson's was the way to go. He repeated several times that "our cost will be higher than many other companies, but our work has a TRANSFERABLE LIFETIME GUARANTEE!" He also stated several times that we wouldn't have to worry about ANYTHING, it will be a no-stress customer service experience. Around 4/28, a young man came to measure the job. A few days later, I was left a message asking me to schedule a time for the installation manager to come out to measure again. And I understand taking that precaution. I believe in the saying "measure twice, cut once". On July 17th, the window crew came out to install windows. The window on the end, which is the one it seems had been measured twice was not the correct size. It was too large by about a foot. The first member of the crew got here around 10 am and they were here until sunset, about 9:15 pm. They said they were done, with the exception of returning to install the mismeasured window. The work on the outside looked ok at first look, but the inside was not at all what we were promised. For the trim around the windows, they used low-grade lumber, which appears to be pine. Many gaps, knots, twists, uneven joints and seams, and most importantly not the white, finished look that Mr. Case had spoken about. He actually double checked with us during the initial consultation. White exterior, white interior. Upon closer inspection of the outside, the caulking had many holes and gaps, and one spot was just not caulked at all. On the 28th of July, the gutter crew came for the first time. My wife was supposed to be home, but we were holed up at the hospital from Thursday night till Saturday. When we got home, I was dismayed to see that only one section of gutters was replaced, when it was supposed to be two. Also, they did nothing with the narrow strip between the new window trim and the new gutters. Didn't even wipe it off. It looks terrible to have one strip of old, dirty flashing in between brand new white gutter and the brand new white brake metal around the windows. On August 5th, it rained, and that's when I realized that the new gutter was leaking from behind in the same manner and the same spot as the old gutter. On August 2nd I had a conversation with Ericka, about all the quality issues. Also, that was the first time I was asked to sign a "Completion Form". She gave me a phone number to which I could send pictures. Which I did. To which she replied "Good morning I uploaded pics to your account and sent it over someone will give you a call to assist further thank you".(Exactly like that, I copy-and-pasted it.) I waited until August 7th, then texted her and asked when I could expect to hear from somebody. Her response was "Hello I can not see these photos its making me download and I'm unable to and you send them without me having to download thank you!" (Also copied and pasted). How could she have uploaded them to my account on the 3rd, but she's telling me she can't download them on the 8th?? (I JUST caught that little detail combing through all these emails, text messages, and date stamps on photos). That makes me think I was lied to. If so, I consider that to be highly unprofessional, a little insulting, and sad. At any rate, the ultimate result of those particular few exchanges was an appointment with Brian on August 14th. I would add at this point that I used 4 hours of my vacation time at work to be there for that appointment, as the window of time was Noon- 5pm. Brian agreed that the caulking was subpar, the windows had some flaws, that the pine material inside was not acceptable, and that the gutter indeed was and should not be leaking from behind. He said that all of this was going to be taken care of. Later he texted me saying that he thought the gutter leak could be fixed by adding another downspout, because the one downspout wasn't keeping up with the volume of water coming off of the roof. I told him that whatever would fix the problem is fine with me. So, on August 23rd the gutter crew came back out, installed the 2nd section of siding, and added the additional downspout to the other section. The gutters and downspouts looked fine. But then, it rained on August 24th and I found myself taking another video of rainwater cascading down the face of one of your brand new windows. Again. So, I called and let one of the customer service reps know that the gutter was still leaking. The rest of the story will not fit in my limited space here. Suffice to say, it got worse, I was referred to Marv Glazer, "V.P. of Customer Relations", and he was insulting, pushy and rude. WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! read more

These other 1800Han reviews are SPOT ON. I appreciate the girl trying to do damage control by putting Marv Glazer's contact info on there. Problem is: MARV GLAZER!! and the rest of the company. They only do the job to get paid. These people LIE to you to fit their needs. Their workers rush through and their work is abysmal! Avoid this business like the plague! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! Of course they have a lifetime warranty- because they know that all they've sold you is a guaranteed piece of SH*T!! What complete shysters! I won't go far into how miserable the experience we had was. But, for example: They were in such a hurry the "first time they came"- and their work so shoddy that they jammed/screwed a window in one place so hard the glass broke after they left. And many of the others wouldn't even OPEN! Some windows were entirely wrong, many others came measured quite incorrectly- requiring, of course 6 more weeks to fix- it was many months! DO NOT EVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM!! Find a local contractor who will do a much better job at a much saner price. Or do it yourself- trust me, it will be better! I was such a fool. Very disappointment in my experience with hansons we signed a contract for a new roof, siding and gutters to be done at the end of March. The roof was done with in weeks which was great. However they took our original gutters off our house at that point and I have been dealing with flooding In my basement since then. We lived in this house for four years before we finished our basement and never had any issues with water coming in until they took our gutters off. Now all of our flooring has been ripped up and dry wall along one side of the house has to be replaced. I started getting calls and text messages stating our siding was in and read to to be installed in July but was constantly delayed due to contractors needing time on other jobs for almost two months. Finally the siding started to go up a couple of days before Labor Day three weeks later half of my house is sided and they are out of siding and won't have the rest of the material in until the end of November and then I can only assume we'll start the cycle of them calling and texting me again to let me know when work will be started and of course delayed again. I've asked numerous times when my gutters can be scheduled for install because of the constant flooding im dealing with every single time it rains but of course they can't be scheduled until the siding is completely finished. And when I say I need it done sooner rather then later because of the water coming in they act as if I don't even hear me the only person who has been sympathetic and tried to be helpful was the person calling to give me updates. I've tried to call my project manager but she doesn't ever answer my calls. I've sent in a email and don't get a response. So needless to say I would never recommend 1-800 Hansons to anybody I know. Please do yourself a favor and find a local contractor that will actually respond and be honest because clearly this company is incapable of doing so. On the day the contractor came out to measure he was 3 hrs. late no call. now I have been scheduled and rescheduled 2 times. All I get is excuses is this a scam. I want answers not excuses. read more

We were happy with the work that was done on our house. Had roof, soffit, and gutters done. Roof was done professionally. Had a 3-person crew who worked fast and hard to get the roof done. It has rained a ton since then and no problems. Soffit was installed with only a minor problem when the installers arrived and discovered they had the incorrect materials. But they had the correct materials but had the correct materials by the next day and installed that day. They left a lot of the scrap in the driveway and said the gutter people would remove it. The gutter people came about two weeks after, installed the gutters but did not remove the scrap material. One call to Hanson's and the material was removed the next day. For multiple day jobs, like the roof there needs to be a portapotty brought to the yard. I told Hanson's (initial salesperson, person on the phone and the Greensky financing company) that I would write them a check for the full amount at the end but I was put into the financing company where I had to pay both an interest payment and an activation fee. But all in all, we are happy with our result. read more

WORST company ever!!!!!!! Please read the RECENT reviews on the Better Buiness Bureau website before doing any business with 1-800-Hansons. I can't warn people enough to STAY AWAY. We ordered a door in mid-April and it was put in September 21st. It was a custom door however we were told it was completed and ready when we inquired the first week of July. After I made several phone calls to our salesman asking for an installation date, our first scheduled date for installation was the last week in July. They called and canceled that day. They claimed weather was the problem yet I have a text from their salesman stating he will find out why it was canceled on a sunny day. He never did get back to me. They had to cancel again (this time the weather actually was predicted to be possibly rainy) and could not reschedule until September 6th. It took them so long to get the door put in that our financing contract expired. When I asked about it, they told me I could contact the finance company. I tried to cancel the door in late August and I was sent a letter saying I would be in breach of contract. I could either pay them 1800 of the 2355 I owed to get out of the contract or I could call and schedule it to be installed. The letter stated that I had 24 hours to do this. I received the letter over a holiday weekend by US mail. So, I called and agreed to look for an installation date. I received an email about a week later that said the schedule was full and there were other jobs that had priority over mine. When we finally paid them, we just paid for it without the 1 year same as cash financing. I did not feel like going through the hassle of paperwork again and I really just wanted this nightmare to stop. After all the hassle, the said they would give me 200.00 off the door. I asked them to send me an email stating what my final cost would be. I wanted it in writing so they could not come back on me. The guy sent me the total as the exact same amount as was on the original contract. I had to email him and tell him the total he sent me did not reflect any discount. He never responded to me but passed me on to someone else who found the new total. Remember when they were threatening me with breach of contract, I had to pay them 1800 of the 2355. When I complained they felt it was only 200.00 that they needed to be responsible for. I am not sure what we as consumers can really do against a giant company like this . However, I am looking into it. Please, please read other recent reviews before doing any business with them. I had to give them one star to get this published, but I would not really give them even one star. read more
