I used this company for a new roof in my old house. We were very happy with them. So I called to have a window replacement and large sliding glass door replaced in our new home. The salesman showed up on time, was helpful, scheduled the measurements very promptly, everything was going well. I received updates on the progress of my order and finally the install date was set, 9/8. I received a call a few days before the initial install to reschedule because the contractor ran into some unexpected complication at the current job and it was going to run over. We set a new date for 9/18. Today, 9/10 I received another apologetic call from 1-800-Hansons asking to reschedule, because the scheduler did not realize the contractor was not going to be working that week! Long story short , it is now scheduled for 9/23. I spoke to a scheduling "manager" who was less than helpful. I am not eligible for any money off for my inconvenience of already having somebody move furniture out of the way, or the frustration of not having a product that I have already put a decent down payment on and have had to reschedule TWICE, because they can't get their act together with their contractors! She did not budge on trying to schedule a different contractor so the install could occur on the first rescheduled date. All she would say is that I have been given plenty of notice and she will reschedule with me. I can hardly wait to see what idiot shows up for the install. I have lost all confidence in this company. I told her I am putting a bad review on Yelp and my social media. I feel like they are just not organized, don't care about me as a customer, and don't even care about bad reviews. I hope I am happy with their product if they ever find a reliable contractor to do the install. Do not use this company! The sub contractors they sent were horrible. They were dropped off everyday....no vehicle all day so the 5-6 work crew urinated in my yard all day! When I confronted them they said sorry Hanson didn't supply them a port-a John. How unprofessional! They didn't use tarps threw all the old shingles in my flower beds and patio....what a mess! 4 days to do a ranch house....I would use anyone other than Hanson I would give them zero stars! read more

I would like to give no stars if possible. Hanson's had to order window twice to fit, still do not fit. Windows I have now leak and the manufacturer said that this was NORMAL for double hung Windows to leak! Installers left my yard a mess and nail screws in driveway so I got a flat tire. Max the manager told me he would work with me on a discount and he said told Green Sky to take off 2,000 that does not cover the ruined wood floor or wet carpet. I bought lots of plastic and had to extra laundry to cover floors that did not help much because of heavy rain and hail. One of the installers screamed at me just because I wanted him to do door wall first, he kept screaming and said he did not want to do this job and my neighbor had to come out and see if I was OK! I told Max about this nothing was done. I still have to pay Green Sky because Hanson's told them it was a warranty issue and they were completed. I still have leaky windows and a door wall that does not fit. They told me they are ordering a new door wall for the Third time. I kept asking them to remeasure and they told me I was wrong that was not needed. If three do not fit then why can't they remeasure? I am being billed $19,000 for a product I did not get. Do not ever use Hansons! After the last guy screaming at me and the Manufacturer telling me leaking windows were normal for double hung. Do not believe Hanson on a lifetime's life time roofing. What a joke! We had three leaks and they said we had to go through our insurance company. Now our insurance went up plus they never reimbursed us for our 1,000 deductible. Our roof wasn't even two years old. We are totally frustrated and upset with this business. We had new vinyl siding placed on our home several years ago by Hansons. At that time they did a great job and everything looked awesome. the workers were great. This winter we noticed that water was dripping from the eavestrough they installed over our backdoor and ice was always building up. When my husband got up there to look at was what going on he saw that the board they had hung that the eavestrough was screwed to was rotted. It had'nt been wrapped with the vinyl correctly and it was'nt even treated wood. We called Hansons and they told us to send some pictures in to them and they would send out someone to inspect it. We took down the rotted board and the eave because it was starting to fall down. We are both in our upper 60's and could probably do the repair ourselves but one of the reasons we hired Hansons in the first place was because of the lifetime warranty so we would'nt have to be doing this kind of stuff when we got older. A young guy came out spent maybe 20 minutes here which 5 were spent looking at the work the rest of the time he talked about his new property in Tennesee. For that we had to pay 99$. We had'nt heard from them in a week and a half so we called them, I guess they were just going to leave us hanging, at that time we were told that the work was'nt covered under the lifetime warranty because we had taken the board and eave down ourselves. So basically they stole 99$ from us and they want to charge us even more to repair what they did wrong in the first place. We spent thousands with this company and they treat us like crap. I would not under any circumstance recommend them to anyone. They don't honor their lifetime warranty, they have no respect for their customers and as far as we are concerned they are no better than thieves and liars. There is supposed to be a lifetime warranty. Ever since my slider was installed, the screen did not slide well. It's finally gotten to the point where it will barely budge because it's shoved in so close to the glass door. I called to get Hanson's to come out. They have informed me that as of Jan 1st, there is now a $99 service call every time they have to come out to fix the issues with their product that they installed!! Also, when the originally installed they tried to put an ivory handle on a white door and the bottom lock that they put on did not line up with the piece they installed to slide the lock into. So I permanently have an extra weird piece on the bottom of my door. Would not use again! read more

When we decided to go with Hansons for our roof. The field agent, Tom came out to our home and gave a very detailed and thorough discussion about the roofing options. He was very friendly and helped explain all the options. In just over two weeks they were able to get all the supplies and a crew assigned. Once onsite I met with the crew lead, and we went over the game plan. They had the tear off done, in a few hours, and had already started on identifying any OSB that needed to be replaced, and installing the ice shield. I thought there was no way they'd be able to finish the roof in a day, but they started just after 7am, and finished before 5pm. The final product looks amazing, and I would recommend this team for any other roofing jobs. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They are not honest with you at all. They rarely communicate with you. You have to call and call just to reach anyone to get answers. They don't return your calls. They are sweet as can be until they are paid. I'm sure the materials are of good quality, but the workmanship and service is horrible. I wish we would have gone elsewhere. I made an appointment for a roofing quote, online. They confirmed this appointment, electronically, in multiple ways, which I responded to-accordingly, each time (Redundant & annoying). Rep was 15 minutes late, at least. The worst? I am a single (middle-aged) female homeowner. (with legit financial resources!!) This visiting rep would not give me a quote --wouldn't measure my roof! I contacted Hanson's for a quote for three windows. The sales rep came out an quoted the windows. This was the first quote we had formally received but they were inline with what I was expecting (based on window pricing from Lowe's. I was hesitant to sign the contract the day of as we still had another contractor coming out to quote us on the windows but they offer 10% off if you sign day of. The sales rep assured me that Hanson's would price match as long as the windows were comparable and the u-factors were the same/better. The other quote from Wallside came in almost $1,500 less than Hanson's quote and the u-factor on the windows was .01-.02 better than what Hanson's offers. I have been trying to get Hanson's to price match this quote for over a week now with no response. The general manager (Scott Lamacchia) at the Saginaw, MI store will not return my calls and will not respond back to my sales rep. Now that we are outside of the 3 day cancellation period, Hanson's wants to charge me 1/3 of the sales price to cancel even though the windows haven't started in production yet. The service has been absolutely awful to date. Do yourself a favor and contact anyone but Hanson's for your window needs. read more

Ben Love, this is for you. My roof was recently done by Hansons. I have a beautiful roof and the men who worked on it, did a beautiful job. They cleaned it up around the house and I did not even have to pick up a nail. Unfortunitly there was an accident and one of the men stepped into my kitchen ceiling. Ricky and Harold put the money up front out of ther own pocket to pay for a profesonal drywaller to repair it. I'm soory for them that they had to do this. Hansons doesnot have their back, when it comes to this situation. I have tried to contact Hansons, but I get a busy signal or a dropped phone call. The worst company I have ever dealt with. The sales rep. told us how good their customer service was and how they would clean up after it was done. It took forever to get an appointment to get our roof replaced and on the scheduled day no one showed up or called to say they were not coming. When we called and asked for our deposit back they were to show up the next day. No one showed up until the afternoon. What should have taken 2 days took a week and a half to complete because no one showed up half the time, They worked in the rain one day and caused a leak over one of our bedrooms. The roof leaked all over a memory foam bed. My husband had one of the workers come in and look at it. He said OK and was more interested in playing our piano in the dining room. We had to throw the bedding away because of the dirty water that came in. When they finally finished we were not home but they left in a hurry because nothing was cleaned up. We picked up numerous nails and staples in our driveway. They left a wheel barrow full of old shingles and a pile of metal rods in our back yard. There are 2 large streaks on the roof. We called and talked with the Saginaw office and a supervisor from Detroit and the job supervisor came. We also discovered that they had broken a wood cradle that was on the side of the house. When we talked to the Detroit Supervisor he assured us it would be taken care of. The job supervisor kept accusing us of trying to get something for nothing and was a complete jerk to us. So far nothing has been done and we are considering legal action. I would never deal with this company again. They lie and do not follow through on their so called promises. read more
