We spent all of November, 2024 in South Africa, primarily at resorts arranged by Rami. First stop was Cape Town and The Strand Pavilion. Beautiful location sitting out over the bay and the suite was excellent. Minor problem as the suite next door was undergoing a make-over, but the staff did their best to keep the noise down and limited to certain hours. After a week of exploring the Cape Town area, we traveled to the Kruger Lodge just outside of Kruger National Park. We travel quite a bit and this was easily in our top five of resort vacations. Woke up to impala, monkeys and lots of birds on the golf course in front of our chalet, and nyala grazing at the river behind our unit. We had a very memorable vacation with the 12 of us!! My family(5), my sister's family(5) and my parents in Kihei, Maui. We stayed at the Aston Maui Hill that had Two(2) Condos next to each other that had 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms, dining room, living room, balcony, and full kitchen! It was only about a 10 minute walk down to the beach that was across the street. The kids loved to play hours on the beach and watched multiple sunsets! I have been a member of Rami's Happiness Adventure Club for more than 5 years and in that time have completed more than 10 Vacations. I can say that all of them have been exceptional experiences. Beginning with Riviera Maya, where we saw the best Circus Soleil presentation in the world. Our Lake Tahoe adventure was on the water and we jet skied the crystal blue water and hiked the high Sierra peaks. We spent a week in Cabo San Lucas at a wonderful Resort featuring a world class golf course and wonderful walks down miles of uninhabited beaches. We vacationed at an "all inclusive" property in Cozumel, where the snorkeling was the best I have ever seen and the food options were exceptional. Last month we spent a week in West Palm Beach at a resort on the Ocean. The beach was amazing, filled with seashells and very comfortable beach cabanas. In the next couple of years we are looking at Resorts in South Africa, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. All of these adventures were a great value, for the cost of 2 nights we spent a week each time at world class resorts with exceptional service. I purchased a 1 week vacation from Rami to stay at The Grand Mayan Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. When we arrived we presented a letter from Rami at checkin and were upgraded to an awesome room with Ocean and Pools View. The room was as described, with a small pool on the balcony which was perfect for my family with two little kids. I first met Rami through the Irvine Chamber, he was presenting a video explaining all the folks he had helped with his "Happiness Assurance" package. After discussing it with my wife, I proceeded to sign up with my monthly payment being auto debited from my account. To make a long story short and concise, there was no notice or reminder that the program terms forced me to lock in my vacation after 1 year. I had contacted Rami multiple times to book my vacation, he responded with rates and really pressured me to "LOCK IT IN." After family emergencies, vet bills, and more....I was finally ready to book my vacation in Brazil for EDC in early December. I called Rami's office, twice without a phone call back, taking over a week and me calling back into his office for him to send me a long drawn out email saying that I shouldve reviewed the TERMS + CONDITIONS and that it would cost me another nearly $2k to book a vacation that I assumed I had already paid for. The trick here is that I read the negative reviews, I turned the other way, thinking that because this man was a member of the Chamber, Rotary Clubs , and other local clubs in Orange County, that he was going to uphold honest business practices. I was wrong. It cost my family and I around $2000 in monthly payments and now he was trying to scheme me out of nearly another $2000 to now book my trip because I had passed my 1 year per his terms. Aren't you supposed to be my agent? Protecting me from the crooked travel industry? Instead, he wanted to make it my fault because I never pulled the trigger on the 3 times that I contacted him to try to line something up for my family. This has been the most deceitful monthly program that I have ever been a part of and unlike me, you should trust all the 1 star reviews and work with a travel agent who actually cares about you and your families happiness, not looking to make a dime off you due to terms and conditions. Thank you, Rami! My boys and I had a WONDERFUL time in Playa del Carmen near Cancun, Mexico. Thank you for suggesting things to do on our vacation. We made terrific memories for our family. Both boys thanked me for a great vacation. The Vidanta resort was lovely!!! Room accomodations were excellent, clean, and service was prompt and friendly. We felt welcome and that the people who worked there were glad we were there. Food was good, too. We really liked the Havana Moon restaurant. It was on the beach - great view and beautiful breeze. I was concerned about the water, but the water on site was good! The water comes from the 800 miles of underground river and cenotes. The pools were all salt water, though - very mild and my skin felt good after a swim. We enjoyed EVERY DAY and EVERY DAY was DIFFERENT. Sat - Golfed and attended a free show at the resort. Sun- Chichen-itza ruins and cenote (fully opened sink hole for swimming and diving) Mon - Xcaret Plus (water park with aquarium) with snuba (fabulous experience) and buffet (excellent) and show was *spectacular" - I was impressed. Tues- Day at the pools and fitness center and evening at Cirque de Soleil (their theater is on the Vidanta property, but across the highway with a separate controlled entrance). Wed - Tulum Extreme (tour of ruins, 3 zip lines through the jungle and cenote) Cenote was a entered via a cave complete with bats! Snorkeling included - lots to see. Since this was a small port village, we swam in the ocean, too. Thurs - Coba Sunset tour (tour of ruins, LONG zip line over a large lagoon, and cenote) Cenote was underground and we entered through a stairwell in an opening. Two levels for diving / jumping. We had bicycles for the Coba tour - that helped since it was a large city. Linda S read more
