The party package is a great deal and includes food, cake, drinks, rides, and nonstop fun. The staff and ride operators were welcoming, kind, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The kids (and adults!) loved the Meteorite and the bumper boats--especially spraying the family with water! On top of that, there are so many classic carnival rides, a haunted house, mini golf, and plenty of spins, screams, and laughs to keep everyone entertained all day. We got the ultimate fast passes and I realized throughout the day I literally don't have time to think/be able to panic in-between rides. It was such a fun time and definitely worth it to get the ultimate fast passes-especially during the weekend when it's absolutely packed. Even tho some of the rides don't take fast pass like American Eagle, we found on a Saturday it was 100% worth it as far as lines go. I have ranked the rides below according to how much I loved them. 1. Goliath 9.5 2. Raging Bull 8.5 3. American Eagle 8 4. X flight 7 5. Rakshasa 7.5 6. Demon 7 7. Whizzer 5 8. Viper 3 9. Rue La Dodge 2 The $35 all you can eat dining wristband was worth it if you want to try all of the vendors. We got burgers, chicken tenders and a chicken wrap. So for us two it was well worth the price! Stopped and also got a coffee as well as a few dipping dots which weren't included in the wristband and cost $13 and $8. I think it's definitely worth it. If you're coming with the family on a weekend to get the fast pass, I know it's a little expensive, but it really does give you the flexibility to explore almost all of the rides and not spending time waiting in line lines! But if you come fairly often and have a season pass, then I guess the lines may be worth it.

3X THE FUN Triple…read morePlay is located in Hometown Square in between the train station and the season pass processing center. The ride opened in 1976 and was manufactured by HUSS Rides. It is also known as a Trokia, which means 'group of three' in Russian. The Triple Play has three arms extending out from a center column. Each of these cars can seat up to two people and are located at the end of every arm in a circle. Now the fun begins when the operator turns on the ride. The center column rotates in a clockwise motion while the cars located at the end of the arms rotate in a counterclockwise motion. I am getting dizzy just thinking about this ride and let's not forget the sweeping motion of the ride as it goes up and down. You will also notice a slight rocking motion of the car from side to side. Now my description sounds a lot worse then the ride actually is. In fact, this ride is quite mild. It is a great beginner ride for your little one as you slowly work your kids up to bigger and faster coasters. This is another one of those rides that I have ridden on as a child and with my child. It is always fun to share these childhood memories. The line may look long but it moves fast. If I do my math correctly 21 cars times 2 people means 42 people can potentially ride at one time. I also feel that many people miss this ride because it is tucked in the corner. Make sure to do not wait until the end of the night to ride this because it will shut down early to accommodate the evening stage show and the nightly parade. You have been warned. My little one loves this ride and it is always fun to ride with her on it. She laughs and giggles. It always cracks me up when she asks me to hold on to her. This ride only has a metal lap bar and it does feel like you might fly out as the ride goes into it's dropping motion. I was curious as to how many of these rides still exist. I was able to find out in the USA, there are at least eight Troikas in operation and they are located at Cedar Point, Palace Playland, Kings Island, Elitch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Fun Spot Amusement Park, Six Flags Great America, and Six Flags Over Texas. So get on board this classic Trokia ride and feel the spin.

I had been looking forward to taking my nephew to Slick City for a year or more. Timing finally…read moreworked out and we went on a Friday afternoon in summer. I was shocked when I pulled in the parking lot and there were only a handful of cars. When we went in, the place is pretty large, but felt a little empty. There were about 10 slides, a basketball court, and mini go karts. I thought I read online that the go karts were included with admission, but then there were signs saying you needed to buy a wristband. There was no worker in that area and nobody used them during our time there. The slides were fun until you reached the bottom. When the slide ended, you slid onto a rubber mat on most slides. My neck was starting to hurt after a few slides due to the jolt from hitting the rubber mat. I don't recommend for adults. I stopped after about 5 slides. My nephew who is 12 also complained that it hurt. It was really exhausting climbing up all the stairs to get up to the slides. Also, some of the slides and ceiling fans were dusty. Sad to say it was disappointing and I don't plan on coming back.

It's massive inside, so much bigger than I had expected. Your eyes can't decide where to look- the dozen massive slides, climbing gym area, big swings, zip-line... there's plenty to do! All of the kids we were with, including mine, ranged from ages 2-6. To no surprise, they all had a blast. There's something for everyone, including a dedicated section for kids under 5. From a parent's perspective however, there were definitely a few things we didn't favor. To start, there seemed like a lack of staff, almost allowing for too much of a free-for-all. And the staff that were working, were completely unfriendly and looked like they didn't want to be there at alllllll. This is a kids place... even a smile or a little interaction with the kids would go a long way. The one gentleman -working the area where you swing off the bar onto the blow up section- truly looked mad to be there and it was sad to watch the kids ask him for help and receive bothered looks in return like it was a chore. The go-cart section was completely closed/broken down as well. You pay a good chunk of money to come here, so to have a whole area not available to play was a bummer. Having a bday party here can be the whole package though - our group got a big dedicated table on the party side, pizzas, veggies and fruit, and drinks. Unsure of the cost, as we weren't the hosts, but if you're looking for an all-in-one option this would work. All in all, an enjoyable place for kids but absolutely be prepared for chaos and to support your kids in being safe because there's opportunity for injury.

A drop that is more than vertical. Speed of up to 67 MPH. A definite adrenaline rush. Interestingly, I heard about this ride the day before we went to Six Flags from a grad student that I met at a mindful meditation class. He said that it was one of the top rollercoasters that he had been on. I agree! A great way to start a day of riding rollercoasters at Six Flags Great America.

You can tell that the park does a great job of hiring and training their team for patience and attentiveness to their guests of all ages. Food and beverage wasn't cheap, but just above today's fast food out on the street, and quite frankly portions that could be shared. Last but not least, the rides all seemed to be in great working order. We never felt any concerns with the girls riding any of them. I strongly suggest a family visit if you're going for your first time, or returning again with the next generation.

We also went to a different location to get freshly squeezed lemonade and iced coffee. Both were delicious and perfect mid day snack during sunny afternoon The bathrooms were clean enough. The rides were fun and staff was very friendly. At the end of the day, we stopped and greeted Santa. I loved this experience since he was very patient and kind to our daughter. And it was very personalized. I was under the assumption was simple, and pose for photos but no... he talked to her and read her signs as to how comfortable she was. I appreciated Santa so much since he could tell she was getting a little scared and nervous. Overall, it is a fun place to be especially as a child. This one visit convinced us enough to become season pass owners as we left the park. We will be back in the near future.
