She's an extremely hard worker and did not stop/sit for 5 hours; and got through all 8 bridesmaids in record time. She also came with all the necessary supplies, had foundation in our skin tones and even had one of those make-up lights to make sure we didn't look washed out or pale. She included lashes in the price and spent a good 25-30 mins on each of us. I was so impressed by her professionalism that I would definitely contact her up again just to get my own makeup done. Maria was one of the first wedding vendors I booked because summer wedding MUAs book up fast! I initially found her on her Maria Le Beauty Yelp page, as she was local, her portfolio was extensive, and prices were pretty great compared to other make up artists. She collabs with other MUAs through her Happy Bridal Yelp page. I had a makeup trial with Maria about 9 months before the big day, and Maria was super patient, skillful, and accommodating to perfect the look I envisioned. On the wedding day, Maria and makeup artist Nini showed up bright at early before 7am, set up their huge hair/makeup table, and worked for 5 hours beautifying myself, 4 bridesmaids, and 2 mothers. Both Maria and Nini worked timely and diligently to create natural looks for all our bridal party, listening to all our feedback. Despite some concern for running mascara and melting makeup during a heat wave wedding weekend and tears-be-shed ceremony, my makeup and hair lasted all day. Lips did need a few touchups, and Maria provided a thoughtful touch up kit with lipstick, powder, makeup remover, etc. I did not do airbrush makeup, at Maria's suggestion, but I was super impressed with how flawless Maria was able to make my skin look with just traditional makeup technique. I was even more impressed with my hair, as Maria did an amazing job to create my look: an impeccable high bun, with no flyaways, which was perfectly sprayed down without being matty or heavy, and mostly (except for a single flyaway in the back), remained flawless into our 2am after party. Maria even let me borrow several hair accents that really made my updo pop. One tip is that if you have specific makeup, like concealer, foundation, eyelashes that you prefer to use, definitely bring them to your makeup session. It can be hard to match skin color shades on the spot, and the available eyelash styles may be limited if you are trying for a specific eye look. Also, Maria was so kind-hearted to gift my bridal party small succulents from her garden, which was a cute surprise. I confess I am not a beauty pro, and choose to not wear much makeup daily. My wedding day heroes! Maria and her assistant Nini did the hair and make up for myself, all my bridesmaids, and my mother in law (6 girls total). They arrived earlier than scheduled which worked out perfectly because one of my bridesmaids decided to get make up done at the last minute. I thought it was too late but Nini jumped into action and did it. Both of them were also my honorary bridesmaids - before the ceremony, we took pictures at the hotel and did a first look. Even though they were done doing our hair and make up, they stayed and helped me fluff my dress for the pics, helped me pose, and if my hair was starting to come out of place they went in with a comb and hairspray to fix it between snaps. I felt like a celebrity with her personal glam squad. My wedding day was the best day of my life but was so stressful, and you need to have vendors that not only can do their job but also are personable and understand your emotions. Maria was amazing! She definitely made me look beautiful on my wedding day on 04-28-18. I had 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 1 sister that needed hair and makeup done also and we had to be done by 10am for my tea ceremony. Maria and her team came promptly at 4:30am to the hotel and started on my bridesmaids which she also made a schedule to help and keep track of the timing. She was very organized. When I started searching for hair and makeup artists, I was flabbergasted at the pricing of some of the vendors that I reached out to. Maria's pricing is very reasonable and affordable. I booked her for a trial back in March and she took her time to do my makeup and hair and really listened to what I wanted. On the morning of the wedding, she arrived early to ensure we had enough time and she did EXACTLY what I wanted based on the pictures I showed her.
