In my very first visit with her, she made sure to explain the entire balayage process to me so that I knew what to expect. I always show her a few photos of what I have in mind and she would make sure to create my dream hair. I have gone from dark black hair to ashy brown/blonde through my visits with her! I have naturally dark hair so it's always my fear that my hair will turn out brassy, but Monica always manages to make my hair ashy and pretty, and also provides tips on how to keep my hair healthy. (it had been 4 years since my last professional cut) I specifically booked with Michele since she was mentioned by others for her talent with wavy/curly hair. Upon arrival Michele was very nice and welcoming. We discussed lightly what I wanted done before washing my hair. Once I was back in the chair she truly listened to what I wanted. (I have super long fine hair that is curly, wavy and straight in some spots) She gave me tons of advice and pointers which I truly appreciated since I'm trying to embrace my natural hair and stop heat styling. I called to book an appointment and was surprised to get a prime Saturday time just a few days out. My hair was in desperate need of some TLC, and I was prepared to wait a few weeks, but was glad they could squeeze me in earlier. I was scheduled with Lyn, who is one of their senior stylists. She had me fill out an intake form, which is something that no other salon has ever had me do. I came prepared with some photo examples of what I wanted, so the whole experience was a little over an hour (they allot 1.5 hours for first time haircut). Lyn listened to what I wanted and also said I could come back within a week or two for any adjustments and they also offer a complimentary bang trim between appointments. She also gifted me a little welcome package with coupons and a couple hair product samples. The salon is much bigger than I thought. It goes quite deep and there's tiny rooms that separate people out, so it's not the typical open space layout. I liked how unique it was, not just the space, but the experience and the commute! I used to drive over to Daly City, but now I prefer to stay closer to home and I can get here by foot!

She loves what she does, punctual/sticks to her appointments, and listens to her clients. When I first went to her, I had full natural hair--super boring and I wanted to do something fun. We did a full chop to shoulder length hair and did babylights. Looking at her portfolio, and consulting her about what would look good on me, we decided to do babylights with money pieces to really brighten and frame my face. It was a hair transformation I didn't know I needed! I've been hooked ever since and now only trust Tamy to work her magic on me. And obviously when I had my wedding in December 2024, I of course booked with Tamy to get me looking my best. I asked for my hair color to be close to my natural hair color, I didn't want anything too different for my wedding pictures. Tamy knew exactly what to do, and even cut framing pieces for me so that my hair/makeup artist would have pieces to work with for my up-do. I will continue to go to her because she is professional, her prices are very reasonable, and she listens and exceeds my expectations every time. For the salon itself, I've always had friendly interactions with the staff there. Parking can be tough on the weekends, but parking lots and structures are readily available for a few dollars so I always pay for the 3 hours that I expect to be in Tamy's chair.
